When Alexandra receives a lawyer's letter informing her that the father she has no knowledge of, has left her an inheritance, including a very special and priceless painting, her world is thrown into disarray. Alex leaves the comfort of her home in New York to investigate her past in New Zealand where she is confronted by the unusual painting she names Lost Love. The painting stirs up more questions than answers and the simple investigation into the life of her father turns into a multidimensional mystery. It also brings an angry Vitaliano Rossi across her path and before she knows it, her life is intricately bound with his. In a relationship where both Alex and Vitali mistrust one another, theirs is a battle of wits as Vitali wants the painting every bit as much as Alex does, but neither will divulge the reasons as to why they do. The attraction between Vitali and Alex is electric and although the book is relatively clean, there is enough passion between them to boil water. As truths emerge and they come to an understanding of each other's motives, the love that has been simmering between them comes out in full force. I loved both Vitali and Alex and even though Vitali was arrogant and seemed to be self serving, he is nevertheless an exciting hero, whilst Alex is the kind of woman we can all identify with. There are some typos that need to be rectified, but otherwise this is an excellent and somewhat suspenseful read. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest review.

Not that scandalous or exciting. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. There were so many grammatical errors and misspelled words, I almost didn't finish reading this book. The author needs a much better editor!

Read this book yesterday and super fast as well.
It was an easy read and quite enjoyable though a bit of a fantasy as I can't fathom agreeing to marry somebody within 3 days of meeting him nor paying 5 million dollars for an unknown painters work but what the heck I am just an average Jill .
All in all it was a pleasant read and I was able to relax whilst reading about Alexandra who has gone to New Zealand to find out about her dead father who has left her the painting that she had named Lost Love
Alexandra's mother had concealed the fact that she was conceived during her first marriage and Alex had always felt like the odd one as she did not really fit in with her mother and fathers norms.
In New Zealand she had been unable to unearth any facts about her father and so held an exhibition of his works hoping to interview anybody who showed an interest in his work.She received any offer for her fathers painting but refused to sell it instead marrying the bidder Vitali Rossi and the story of their life continues

This story follows Alex who is trying to find out about her past by finding out about her father and Vitali who is trying to protect his family. Both characters had pasts that held major hurts for them and influenced how they came together. I really enjoyed Alex's spunk and that she was determined to be a partner with Vitali. She was not one to quit no matter what, and I really enjoyed watching her heart open up during the story. Vitali had a little softening to do, and some assumptions to correct, but he had an endearing quality to him that made you cheer Alex on in her relationship with him.
I was very happy with the overall story and very much enjoyed reading this book. The author had beautifully descriptive writing. I could easily picture the scenery she described from Gold Ridge Station and I would love to see if any areas in New Zealand match up to the picture in my head.

I loved, loved ,loved this book!!! What an absolute treat to read a book without skipping over scenes that are explicit and foul language!! This is a very well written story that you can use your own imagination at certain scenes! Mollie really hit a winner with this one. I read it in two sittings because I could not put it down. The back and forth between Alexandra and Vitali had me chuckling and intrigued as to what the results were going to be. I will be reading more written by Mollie Matthews!!! I am drawn to anything New Zealand as it is on my bucket list to visit! I received a free copy of this book and choose to write a review.

Hard to Put Down
I really enjoyed this book by Mollie Matthews. I have a soft spot for New Zealand; it is one of the most spectacular counties I have visited. Alex and Vitali have a connection on their first meeting, but not positive. They come to negotiate over a painting by Alex's dad. Their relationship continues with the ups and downs of incomplete communication of many couples. Still, their love grows despite all that is thrown their way. I really had trouble putting this book down to do stuff around the house that I needed to do. This is the first book I have read by this author and hope to read more. I received this book for free in return for an honest review.

An enjoyable read
This is the first book I have read by this author and I wasn't disappointed and would certainly try more of her books.
What I liked about the novel - the plot which was intriguing, the descriptions of the central Otago high country cattle station, that it was a clean romance and could be read as a standalone.
What I disliked - the manipulation by Alexandra of Vitali to get what she wanted, regardless of how it impacted others (this, for me, is where the scandalous part of the book title arises from). Also the fact that despite the title, the story is not set in Italy but in New Zealand.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I wasn't disappointed and would certainly try more of her books.

I liked the book although there were times the two main characters couldn't
see things the way they were or else didn't trust each other. Those were the times I wished that I had a frying pan to knock some sense into one of them. Both of them had issues from their pasts that held them back but, Mollie managed to pull it all together and it was well written. I would recommend this to anyone to put on her TBR shelf.
I read the Advanced Reader Copy for this book and reviewed it honestly!

This is book two in the Gemstone Billionaire Series. Alexandra's life changes on a dime when she receives an inheritance from a father she didn't know existed. I read a reading copy via Reading Deals and voluntarily chose to write a review. Her search to find the truth takes her to New Zealand where she meets Vitale. The mystery continues and a beautiful love story begins Plenty of drama and lots of twists make for a great story.

This was an okay read for me it had too much filler and not getting to the real point. I think as this author grows in time she will learn what to leave in and take out. It really is a lovely story that one could get lost in if so much detail wasn’t given on tedious issues which for me was an over kill.

The premise behind this book is great. Except for the errors. There were a number of grammatical errors and serious typos. These detracted from my ability to give this book a better rating. I liked the overall plot line but the errors kept distracting me. I read a number of ARCs (Advance Reader Copy) for a number of authors so I am used to some errors, but not this many.

I really enjoyed reading Bride of Gold. It mixes discovery of secrets from the past, love and mistery! Molly Matthews describes the places and her characters with detailed in a way that you can pictures their abouts and how they are - almost feeling that they are in front of you. She is a master of words! Time flies when you are reading the story!

This was a Grey story about finding the place you belong- the place that is home. It's also about facing the past so you can embrace the future. It was a great story of love triumphing over circumstances

What I liked about the novel - the plot which was intriguing, the descriptions of the central Otago high country cattle station, that it was a clean romance and could be read as a standalone.
What I disliked - the manipulation by Alexandra of Vitali to get what she wanted, regardless of how it impacted others (this, for me, is where the scandalous part of the book title arises from). Also the fact that despite the title, the story is not set in Italy but in New Zealand.

Alex inherits a beautiful from a father she never met or knew about. Vitari wants the painting and will do anything to get it, including marriage. Both are suspicious of each other. Both have trust issues and secrets that can destroy their marriage before it even gets started. And the scenery in this book makes me want to head to New Zealand.
