I’m really enjoying these seasonal stories by Marie Harte. ANY GIVEN SNOW DAY is a standalone novel but I do think that there’s plenty of ways she can make this into a series. Similar to her other books, this book is filled with fun banter and humor. This is one of my favorite things about Harte’s stories. While her books do have awesome conflict in them, she really does take her time building relationships between the characters so that you definitely feel the strong connection between all
Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Marie Harte offers up a small town romance set around the holidays from October through December in Any Given Snow Day. A single mother with a teenage son and the town’s newest resident, a retired at 35 star NFL player, find each other amid small town gossip, her memories of her late husband, her son’s attitude and hero worship, and his need to find some way to deal with his new life. Fun, intelligent, snarky, and a side of sexy, Any Given Day was a fabulous holiday romance.

Marie Harte has a delightful holiday story to read, one that offers up a small town romance during the holidays. What drew me in were the sexy, contemporary, fun, witty banter, earnest, good humor, and small town romance of the main characters in this story plus the great secondary characters.
Becka Bragg is the woman you could find as your next door neighbor. She is down to earth, sweet, a single mother raising her now 14-year-old son on her own. She's a young widow trying to it all on her own

I liked the story but it wasn't what I was expecting at all. By the title I was thinking they gert snowed in somewhere together and get to know each other better. No. Not so much.

I liked Mitch. I liked how he was with the football team and his brother. Becca and her son were also ok. I just didn't get Mitch and Becca together. Becca questions this through out the story yet she throws herself at him the first time she is over for dinner. I was confused.

I found myself more interested in her cous

My Review:
ooh, I liked this book, although I'll be honest with you, it didn't have that much of a holiday feel. Although it did end at Christmastime, the book takes place throughout the entire fall (i.e. football season for high school football which this retired NFL player helps out on...and that's how he meets this single mom of one of the players). But that cover is gorgeous and I love the play on words for the title, so I can forgive that tiniest little blip.

Everything about this book was f

Any Given Snow Day was totally different from what I was expecting (in a sports-related romance) and more than I could have asked for. The excerpt online for the book intrigued me enough to decide to read and I have to say I really enjoyed it.

From the start, like page one, it made me laugh-snort. The heroine, Becca Bragg, is witnessing grown women trying to catch the eye of our hero, “Ex-NFL star” Mitch “Flash” Flashman, while he is helping his brother’s high school football team. Let’s say that
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I got into this book, but it was actually a really great read!

The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't really tied to any of the author's other universes, which I really appreciated! I also really liked the fact that this was a single mom story with an OLDER child in it! It made the story rather unique for me, despite it being a "sports" read.

Getting to the romance part of the story, my biggest problem was that Becca couldn't let go of her deceased hus

This time around the author shares something in common with her characters. Both are finding their footing on a course that is alien to them. Marie Harte steps outside of her comfort zone with Any Given Snow Day. Mitch and Becka shoot off sparks, but are a bit tamer than some of her previous tales. On the corner of sexy and steamy, lies love and drama and there is no holding back on that end. Mitch is at a crossroads. He has money and fame, but no sense of direction. Seeking to change that, he s ...more

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, and heartbreak.

This is Becca and Mitch’s story. Mitch is helping out his brother by coaching football. But all the while he is also dodging the single woman who just want to be with a former NFL player. When he meets Becca one of the players mother he is smitten as she seems not to want anything to do with him. He’s trying to figure out what he really wants to do with his future, and everyone seems to want to see him settled.

Received an ARC at no cost to author. I truly enjoyed this book, but i normally always enjoy Marie's book. This book was funny and you couldn't help but laugh. In this one we meet Becca, she was hilarious and her interractions with Mitch were great...I will not give you more so you can read...Enjoy! ...more

This is a really nice little love story which is more a novella than a full book. Even though this wasn't meant to be a holiday book (I don't think) as it begins just before Holloween, there is so much of the story set around the Christma holiday that it certainly could be considered a Christmas time romance.
Rebecca "Becca" is a widowed single mother raising her fourteen year old son Simon and running a coffee shop in a small Oregon town. Mitch "Flash" is a recently retired NFL star having won

A wonderful feel-good story perfect for the holidays!

Becka Bragg could be your friend next door - single mom raising her now 14-year-old son on her own. But she's way more than that. She's a young widow trying to make ends meet while running her own business. She does have her cousin Nora who's as close as a sister (who is so full of spunk and is hilarious) to help keep her going. Becka has a busy, full life raising her son, Simon, and running her business which doesn't leave time for much else

Mitch "Flash" Flashman has recently retired from the NFL and is at a loss as to what he wants to do with his life. While volunteering with his brothers high school football team he meets one very opinionated mother of a player.

Becca Bragg is a single mother to her teenage son, Simon. After the loss of her husband, she has tried to move on, but no man has ever held a candle to what she had and lost.

Becca doesn't think much of Mitch... well she thinks he's full of himself, and obnoxious,

Rebecca Bragg is a smart, tough lady, and she’s not interested in the gorgeous, rich celebrity who has recently moved to town, even though he’s one of her son’s coaches on the high school football team. From the rumors she’s heard, the man is an arrogant hound dog, so she does her best to keep away from him.
Mitch Flashman is an ex-NFL star and a two-time Super Bowl champ, so he has no shortage of women flocking to him, but he’s lonely and doesn’t know what to do with his life since he’s retired

Love is wonderful, the second time around…4.5

Reminds me of that song. Marie Harte delivers a romantic story of possibilities. Can a widowed single mom open her heart a second time around for another chance at love and happiness?

For Becca Bragg, her world revolves around her teenage son and cafe. It’s been 7 years since her husband passed, but her heart is still bruised from the loss. So keeping busy helps keep the loneliness at bay. No man who has crossed her path has garnered a second look from

I enjoyed Any Given Snow Day a lot. It's a fun story about two adults who aren't looking for love but it finds them anyway. Mitch "Flash" Flashmann has retired from football and moved to a small town to be closer to his brother. Becca Bragg is a single mother and business owner. The only thing the two of them have in common is the high school football team.

I like the fact that the author had the hero out of work and a little bit lost. It wasn't explored deeply but it was a nice twist on the ric

Yes, finally a book that had me smiling throughout. Straight off the bat, I love this book. Mitch and Becca are so made for each other and their problems, concerns or hang ups were relatable. We know living in a small town with ex pro football players might be a stretch in the real world, especially if he notices someone who already has a kid and was married before. Most want arm candy, model worthy, play boy bunny statues with a penchant for fame and excitement. Becca wasn’t even thinking that

I always look forward to the holiday romances that become available during this time of the year. ANY GIVEN SNOW DAY by Marie Harte is a terrific addition to this popular genre. The eye catching cover immediately caught my attention. This story takes place in central Oregon, where high school football is a big entertainment draw to the 30,000 locals.

As a single mom and successful tea shop entrepreneur, widow Becca Bragg has a lot on her plate. Since losing her husband, Becca has devoted herself

Any Given Snow Day by Marie Harte was a very fun book to read. For a change it was about the mom of a teenager rather than some sweet young thing. There was, of course, the ex-pro football player but why not? Mitch has been helping coach Becca's son, Simon's, high school football team. Becca is not overly impressed with him: she thinks he's arrogant. Most of the other women in town disagree: married or not, they think he's hot and available. They develop a friendship based on mutual need: Simon ...more

Mitch, former NFL star, is helping his brother out with the high school team he coaches. While loads of the town's women are angling to catch his eye, Becca's not one of them. Mom of one of the players, she's convinced he's as conceited as a wealthy, hot single guy must be.

I got this book as an ARC for my honest opinion. Mitch Flashback has retired from the NFL. In his career he's earned 2 Super Bowl rings and MVP status. He has an allure to him that results in a target on his back: 1) From hunting housewives and 2) from teenagers high on teen testosterone. He's adrift without a rudder and just doesn't seem to know up from down. He shies away from the stalking women, well that is except for one who's definitely not the stalker type, Becca Bragg, a widow raising he ...more

Normally, I'm not a big romance reader, but I like sports and really enjoyed Mitch, a former pro football player who becomes the heart throb in the small town where he settles to live near his brother, also a former pro player. People in the town make all kinds of assumptions about him that aren't true, including Becca. Becca, a widow who isn't sure if she'll ever be able to fall for another man, is a strong woman who runs her own business to support her teenage son. Hart's snappy dialogue, misu ...more

Any Given Snow Day is a sweet, sexy, and funny contemporary. Flash is a hot commodity in town. The ex football player is helping his brother with the high school football team and the Moms seem to be lining up for some action attached to his celebrity name- except Becca. Smart mouthed, freshman football player Simon has made it perfectly clear what his mom thinks of Simon and his ego. A mutually beneficial agreement between Mitch (Flash) and Becca sparks a hot and heavy relationship for the duo. ...more
