Girl Vs was one crazy rollercoaster ride. It's darker than my usual choice of dystopian world stories. The book is fast paced and Rhyan's life is always changing. Only the strongest survive or maybe it's just being in the right place at the right time.

Rhyan only nipped out when the initial invasion took place. Her family were not as fortunate. When she arrived home her life had changed forever. Her family had been killed and she needed to find a new way to survive. Being smart, learning to use

Rhyan was lucky (maybe unlucky, in her opinion) to survive the alien invasion unlike her family and the most of the rest of the humans. Now, doing her best to survive out in the woods with a few fellow humans, she struggles to get through each day. But soon her group is under attack and she is left on her own. Can she survive this dangerous new world on her own?

The kind of survival i like but..

It was too short, while it was getting good I felt that it was too rushed. Rhyane fought and fought there was no end to it. Aliens, humans they all wanted a piece of her and still do. The sequel will be bought.
Girl Vs by Xela Culletto The story drops us right down into the middle of things and that’s the way I like it. Rhyan is a likable character and it’s easy to grasp what’s going on. Aliens have wrecked Earth, tearing down nearly all human civilization. Now Rhyan and a handful of other survivors live day by day, scavenging for food, killing a few Vela aliens, and sleeping in a cavern at night. Things soon go wrong and Rhyan is on her own again, searching for safety and the basics. Luckily, she come ...more

At my request, this audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an -->unbiased<-- review

I really enjoyed this. I was worried it would rely too much on well-worn tropes, which is common, but Xela Culletto does a great job of crafting her own story. It is dark, as you'd expect in a post-apocalyptic and war-ravaged world. Rhyan is an intriguing protagonist with a lot to her, and I found it worth exploring her persona and still want more. I found myself

Review: Really liked it. The main character was a badass, but she doesn’t really know that. She just doing a job she knows she can do. Which is kill aliens. She not superhuman about it either, being small and agile just has it advances. Plus she not been stupid, she adapted and adjusted herself to the new world. She learned from her enemy, their weak spots and how to survive. Which is what makes her a great

I love Rhyan in this book, she's mentally strong, competent and steps up to do whatever needs to be done. In a situation where most people don't survive she has, partially by luck in the beginning but then by being smart and doing what needs to be done.

This book is quite dark, even for a dystopian story, there's lots of violence and fighting but everything has a purpose, it all works with the plot, and there is plenty of plot and I get the impression that there's still lots to learn in future bo

An easy entertaining read

A great YA post apocalyptic read, the plot may seem simple at start but it evolves pretty good, I really get to like the Rhyann character and how she kick ass!

Xela Culleto is now on my follow up list and I'm looking forward on her next read.

Good story, read in one night.

Alien apocalypse story with a teen heroine. Entertaining, exciting at times. Didn't get to know any characters enough, not even Rhyan, our heroine. Many more questions than answers. Happy Reading!!!

If I’m not mistaken, the only other 5 star review I’ve given was for “The Martian” Four and-a-half from me is high praise. “Girl Vs,” gets five (5) stars from me.
It is incongruous that a 61 year-old-man who normally reads Cussler, Clancy, and Asimov would be so completely enthralled with a YA work featuring a teen girl as protagonist. “Hunger Games” drew me in and I’d have given it four and-a-half stars if I’d done a review. “Girl Vs’” gets five.
The story does bare superficial resemblance to the
