Things you need for a good Block Party:

1. Awesome food

2. Great Music

3. Fun games

4. A secret spot to hook up with your even-more-secret girlfriend.

Liam Edenhoff is a simple creature. He likes women, tacos, and sex. As long as he has those in his life, everything is good. He's finally realizing maybe he's just not cut out for relationships - surely there's got to be a woman out there who'd be okay with roof top margaritas, casual sex, and no attachments.

Enter a new neighbor - one who is allergic to commitment and prefers her sex casual but frequent. She's seen him at his worst and is still willing to play his games, on three conditions - discretion is a must, casual is key, and absolutely no drama. Sounds like the perfect arrangement. What could go wrong?

Famous last words when dealing with neighbors.

This story contains scenes of a graphic sexual nature, multiple uses of coarse language, and more tacos than is healthy or sane to read about. Reader discretion is advised.

This is the third installment in the Twin Estates series

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

I also write contemporary romance under the name Penny Sixsmith

ARC

This book grew on me. I'll honestly say that I wasn't feeling in for the first few chapters. And if you've already the book, yes- even after THAT scene.. I wasn't feeling it. Thankfully it grew on me and what do you know? I actually really enjoyed the book.
I will say this, Ayumi? It's a toss up for me. I was rooting for her. why? because it's bloody difficult to find a protagonist that's asian in this genre of category aka contemporary romance. But My god! did she have a stick up her arse! It was so difficult for me to 'connect' with her. Thankfully her ice queen nature was thawed away to reveal a woman with so much passion and resilience that you can't help but be happy for her yet feel a sense of empathy for her 'reason' behind the ice queen facade.

Liam, another character who I honestly didn't know what to feel. If Ayumi is ice queen, Liam is the wind. No structure. He's a successful business man but unluckily his personality isn't the best. Imagine all the romance book you've ever read- now imagine the guy's best friend who's always up for "a good time, bro!". Someone who you wont really think about because he honestly pisses you off. That is Liam. Or atleast thats how everything thinks he is. But like Ayumi, Liam too has a mask- A mask he wears that makes people think that he isn't the insecure, overwhelmed, unappreciated person he thinks he is.

It's so odd for me to not 'connect' with either of the characters but in this book. I won't call this a slow burn romance but I will say that this book was a slow burn for me, as a reader, to fall irrevocably in love with the characters.

PS: I really hate Ayumi's mother. may she rot in hell.

It's LIVE! http://bit.ly/2yZHyx5

This is Liam’s story. After reading The Neighborhood, I was super excited to get to his happy ending and it’s here!!

Not only was this about the road to Liam’s happiness, but the author gave us all the angst, humor and love that it took to get there. Not once did I feel shortchanged and I was immediately invested in this couple. After witnessing Liam’s antics in the previous two books of this series, I thought I knew all there was to know about this man.

Come to find out I didn’t really know him at all. Am I upset? Heck no! This book gave me the chance to correct that. Liam turned out to have much more heart than I could have dreamed of. He was generous, compassionate, and understanding while still maintaining his immature irresistibility we’ve all come to know him for and love.

I think much of the blossoming of Liam’s character was due to Ayumi. She drew out another side to him that was as unexpected as it was appreciated. Ayumi was his complete opposite. While Liam was a successful business owner, he was a little irresponsible and a bit of a slacker. He also didn’t know how to keep it in his pants. Typical womanizer. Ayumi was extremely organized and detail-oriented, always punctual, incredibly reliable, and focused. But as you know, opposites attract and Liam definitely brought out a side to Ayumi that not even she knew was there.

Don’t even get me started on their chemistry. At first it was a bit awkward, but it quickly progressed into something I anticipated with every scene. Not to mention not knowing what new dirty tidbit would come out of Liam’s mouth. Every time he and Ayumi were together, there was an undeniable spark. For the most part I wasn’t even sure how or if these two would make it together, but I definitely enjoyed the show!

5 “Loving Liam” Stars

Once again, Stylo Fantôme has it it out of the park. Liam Edenhoff, the sweet funny guy who is always second best, finally gets to shine with his story. An awakening story of two souls trapped in feelings of never being good enough. Liam is a mask of happiness, the life of the party, “The Class Clown” always seeking love and validation. Ayumi Nakada, is the serious, hardworking, “The Ice Princess”, who is always striving to be number one, not seeking love because she was never really loved herself. These two, somewhat friends, complete opposites, somehow get thrown together in a moving, emotional, comical at times, second chance romance. Their journey is a party that you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Liam and Ayumi are a perfect couple. Insecurities plague these two but together there is a snarkiness spark that creates a perfect storm. They really do understand one another but things never go as smoothly as they should. Smoking hot sex, emotional connection and sassy and sweet talk fill Liam and Ayumi’s relationship. The authors also delves into the emotional side of both characters. What makes each of them how they are is quite touching and sad, yet endearing and heartwarming as that they have found each other.

The rest of the gang from the Neighborhood rounds out this fast and easy reading love story. Wulf and Katya, Tori, Brighton, Landon, are ever present (who all really add another dynamic layer to this already wonderful story) as well as Liam’s Family and Ayumi’s mother.

This book is filled with great banter and fun, sexy, emotionally charged characters that created a beautifully written storyline. You root for Liam and Ayumi’s happiness all the while your heart tugs at their vulnerabilities and their need for love. An endearing read that will make you smile and believe that opposites really do attract because everyone has emotional struggles that everyone relates too.
A must read........and a One of My Best of 2017.

4.5 Awesome Stars*****

I’m a big fan of this series and an even bigger fan of Liam Edenhoff. I was a little sad when Katya turned down Liam for Wulf, but now that I’ve read Block Party it all makes perfect sense. This book was beyond amazing. It had humor, angst, romance and a whole lot of spice, it was just perfect.

21_BCD7_EF_3_C07_49_D7_8_ECA_CBD7_A2_BF73_EA

We met Wulf’s assistant Ayumi from the first book. She’s the perfect assistant; extremely organized, sharp, and lives and breathes work. She’s been called a robot, because she’s capable of closing amazing deals, working insane hours and showing no emotions towards anything or anyone. After Liam and Wulf finished their partnership at the sex club, Ayumi stayed as Liam’s accountant.

Liam is always running from, or towards women. His latest sex-escapade has him working longer hours in order to avoid his apartment, and the woman who is currently hunting him down to torture him after he broke it off with her.

Liam gave up on trying to flirt with Ayumi a long time ago as she seems like the only woman in the planet who is immune to his charms. So when she proposed a deal to have sex without strings, he is completely shock. Turns out Liam and Ayumi are explosive in bed and Liam wants more, but Ayumi doesn’t do relationships. Is only when a bad situation forces her to leave on a road trip with Liam, that she is for the first time in her life, contemplating opening up her heart to someone.

Both Liam and Ayumi have a lot of baggage, but together they simply work, in some ways they are complete opposites but in a weird way, they also complete each other.

These two together are a total disaster but in a fun, and very sexy way. To me, this series only gets better with each book and I would totally recommend it to everyone.

“But with me, he means it.

After reading the first two books in this “Twin Estates” series, the writing was so enjoyable I was compelled to continue onto this the third book, "Block Party" . For those that fell a little in love with Liam and not Wulfric (I, myself, was Team Wulfric.) in the first book, “Neighbors”; only to have him turn out to be a self-centered and immature idiot in “The Neighborhood” which naturally upset many readers who were Team Liam…here is your book!!!

This is one beautifully written story of Liam finding his one true desire in someone I never, ever would have expected…someone so completely opposite to him in most every way except one. Turns out they both put on a front for others in different ways for different reasons and they are fundamentally lonely people because of it. That and …lest I forget to add… a white-hot sexual chemistry that is “off-the-chain” free and wild.

Liam is the fun-loving, laid back, sometimes manipulator, quite possibly a sex addict manwhore. Ayumi is referred to as Ice-queen by Liam. She is bordering on OCD and everything in her life is planned and regimented. She is serious and brusque in her manner. She always presents herself with a cool and professional demeanor.

The plot detailing the ups and downs of Liam and Ayumi’s relationship is more exciting in this book than the storylines in the previous books. Both characters go through so many changes and have several realizations…some which bring them closer and others tear them apart. It seems to me that this author had a very good feel for these two characters. They were alive in my mind and won me over. I became Team Liam and grew in admiration for Ayumi…what she endured, and how she persevered and ultimately triumphed over her personal challenges. As a couple…they were spellbinding!!!

Their story was told in Third person alternating POVs with Katya and Wulfric making a brief return. Throughout the third person narration is skilled and naturally flowing dialogue. As I mentioned in earlier reviews, this author has a marvelous skill with creating interactive dialogue between and among her characters.

Ahh…then there is the lovely sexual tension between Liam and Ayumi before, during and after their first encounter. It is ever present throughout the read…even when they are not communicating or upset with one another. The author never lets you forget that they desire each other hopelessly and endlessly.

I believe I have already referred to the dizzying erotic love scenes between these two, but just in case you have any doubt…I will reiterate that these two together are hot AF and all get out!!! Holy Moly Fazzoly!!! This author is gifted with impeccable timing and pace in the erotic scene…not to mention the ability to have her characters talk dirty and sassy which makes the overall reading experience an absolute delight!!!

Hold on for the ending…this author makes you almost beg in your mind’s eye for what you want. Ahhhh! But then OOOOh, what’s next??? What’s happened to our girl Tori??? And I’m off to finish this series because well I know this next book will answer that question and close the series!!! Who really can resit at this point?

If you like your men and women characters hot, strong but vulnerable…and you like dirty hot sex…characters learning about themselves and trippy, angsty, reads, I encourage you to begin this series. This book is better than the first two but the first two are pretty damn good.

“This is the girl with the scar, and she's so goddamn beautiful, she stops my heart,” he whispered. Ayumi smiled at him, then reached out and smoothed her hand through his hair. “Maybe,” she agreed. ‘But she's still not half as beautiful as you.’”

4.5 The Parts We Play Stars
* * * *1/2 Spoiler Free

Disclaimer- I came to this without reading the other books of the series. I was able to follow everything perfectly, however, my perception on certain things may be a bit different then full series readers.
We all have felt at some time the need to "play a part" for the other person we were interacting with...It could have been with a teacher by being on our best behavior... or maybe working at a corporation whose "company culture" was more conservative and buttoned down than your own.

Or you could have been like Liam... a twin and had the brother who was treated like the Golden Child... where he could do no wrong... Where the twin was perfect on paper but had so many dark secrets and you were the only one who knew. So you played the part; the Irresponsible Happy Go Lucky one...The Surfer Guy who flew by the seat of his pants...The guy who knew how to make others feel good about themselves...Where a fun comment here or a hug and flirt there... would made everything ok.

But once you lost the woman you thought you might have a future with... and then got caught up in a lot... yeah, a lot of crazy sexy times with the one person you never should of...Maybe your life is not the Perfect Happy Go Lucky like you present to everyone...

So here is Liam, running a sex club and living his life...except now he is dodging visits, calls and hiding from the sexy mistake he made by hooking up with his past partner's sister. She has become psycho from hell... Calling the office and his cel at all hours. Dropping by his apartment... just stalking him everywhere. Liam has been hanging out at Tori's place so he can hide. She has been working for him for a while and they are buds... no sex. He really appreciates her friendship and just promoted her to manager of the club. But he can't keep hiding.

Liam is at the club and his accountant is due to come and work his books. His books are a challenge because accounting is not something he likes to do... Ayumi is the only one who is able to deal with the mess. She works with his past partner and is miracle worker. She not only works 24/7 for the real estate mogul, she does all of the contracts, financials and anything else that is needed without ever breaking a sweat. Liam has deemed her Ice Princess because his charming act doesn't work on her at all. She is all business and no pleasure. She is all button downed and straight laced suits. She takes no sh!t from Liam...

Ayumi has been working on Liam's books and loading up new software programs. She has noticed the phone ringing and ringing with Liam not answering it. She finally picks it up, listens to the bitching on the other end, professionally explains he is not available and hangs up.

Liam is dying....By answering that call, Ayumi is now aware of how complicated his past actions have been. It also confirms his manwhore ways to her. She knew from watching all the players in this small circle of people she interacted with... but now she was privy to confirmation. This opened up a conversation with Liam about his actions and then she left.

Ayumi is back the real estate office talking with her boss and somehow the conversations turns to her not having any plans after work... ever. He had mentioned his girlfriend and Tori were going out drinking and maybe she should go with them... He could arrange it..

Oh, No, please no pity invite...Ayumi said thank you but no thank you and went home to her cat... Yes, at 27 she feared she was turning into that type of woman. Ayumi worked non stop... had a family life that never gave her the understanding of Love... Her mother was like the original Tiger Mom Gone Negative on Steroids... always telling her she wasn't good enough...If she didn't win first place then 2nd place was a loser...nothing she did was ever good enough...Being accepted at Stanford- eh... why was she wait list for Harvard...Ayumi life was classes, after school activities she had no desire for... and now as a grown woman... she still had to deal with a mother she was never good enough for...

As she sat stroking her cat's back... why shouldn't she cut loose ... go out with the girls...Ayumi calls and gets herself invited to the pub crawl. She puts together an outfit, does her make up and she looks like a sexier version of herself.

The women get toasted and are trying to get into the apartment building where Tori lives and Liam sees them. He cannot get over how drunk they all are. He recognizes two of them but doesn't know who the other woman is... she has a kickin' body and a beautiful sheet of black hair hiding her face.

As they all try to get Tori up the stairs., Liam realizes the beauty is Ayumi!
The women have Tory on the couch and she is out like a light. Now Ayumi and Liam alone in his apartment and Liam is noticing how amazing Ayumi looks. He never saw her out of the suits and pulled back bun she wears. She is looking at him too...

Ayumi is toasted but at the same time, wheels are turning and she is thinking maybe hooking up with the Known Sex God Liam wouldn't be such a bad thing...She has done Just Sex before... in, fact that is all she has done and has no desire for a relationship of any kind. As she looks at the man before her she decides to give it a shot...She tells Liam what she wants; Sex no Strings, No Relationship... just Sex.

Liam cannot believe his ears and before the both of them know it they are in the laundry room going at it....I can safely say Laundry Rooms all over the reading world will never be thought of the same....

This leads to these two who "Don't Like" each other to become connected in ways they never thought. Liam and Ayumi are able to have conversions that mean something and they discover more about each other and themselves then they ever thought they would. This was not supposed to happen...

It was scary as hell...

Stylo Fantome was a new to me author and the depth of writing explains all of the terrific reviews I have seen for the other books in this series. There is a lot to think about besides the obvious enjoyment of who Liam is...This is man who played a part he thought was expected of him and finally realizes there is more to him and he wants the world to see him that way.

Ayumi is woman who has never known how to show love to others...she is lost when all of the emotions and feeling come crashing over her. Liam sees the true her and wants her just as she is... and he sees what he must do to explain what he needs, too. These two are so broken... but together they can heal.

There is another powerful book coming and I am sure Stylo Fantome will have everyone on the edge of their seats till it comes.

5 "I want it to be real." Stars

For fans of the Twin Estates series you don't want to miss Block Party where Liam Edenhoff finally gets his stage to shine. Personally, I couldn't wait for Liam to be front and center to see where he would take us. The fantastically surprising result was anywhere and everywhere. This story took some unexpected turns that made it so much different than the first two books creating a refreshing, relaxing reading experience within this series that I thought was perfect.

Fun loving Liam gets pairs with his polar opposite. Stylo Fantome in her own unique style of writing gave us a story of second chances, opposites attracting, and a fun road trip all in the name of Block Party. We see a side to Liam we've not seen before and we see how he blossoms with the just the right girl by his side. Fans of the series will be surprised at the twist of who this special girl is and what's she keeping out of her own spotlight.

There is so much awesome banter and snark in this book. With two main characters who fight to keep their vulnerabilities hidden from the world the resulting sarcasm and squabbling make for a great and scintillating romance. Fantome really excels at providing the perfect amount comedy to balance her angst and conflict. She makes reading fun and exciting with passionate characters (and let me tell you there's a super flaming HOT scene between these two you don't want to miss).

The rest of crew make appearances in this book and we get a snippet where we find out who's up next in the series and I cannot wait. There's much to be adored in Block Party. Let Liam and his mystery girl take you for a ride you won't soon forget!

Opposites attract!

Ok. So I will openly admit that I only read to 20% of the first book, because I could see where it was headed and wasn’t feeling it. However I instantly loved Liam’s good time guy character and knew if he had a book (since it was glaringly obvious he wouldn’t get the girl then) I would read it. And now I’ve read it and enjoyed it. Kind of opposites turn into friends with benefits turns into so much more. Throw in a road trip, keeping their relationship secret from nosy friends, and some emotional obstacles thrown in their way and you have a good read.

If you read a bunch of opposites attract, reluctant but can’t help it friends with benefits romances then the banter may not feel “fresh” to you, but it’s still entertaining, witty, and quick.

All in all a good read. If you like the ice queen being thawed by a ray of sunshine guy and some fun and hot times mixed in, then this is the read for you.

I read this book in one setting and stayed up till 3am because LIAM EDENHOFF BABY!!!!

Liam has always gone after what he wanted may it be tacos or women. After being burnt by love once, he has no desire for anything other than casual fun.

Luck's on his side when his new neighbour wants just that. In fact, he's pretty certain she doesn't even really like him. She is likes playing his games but the rules are hers.

For Liam, the perfect arrangement does exist. Only thing is to not get emotions involved. Pretty simple, right?

OH MY GOD!!! I as not expecting this book. Not even 1% First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by the heroine. I was a little bit skeptic about her but as the story progressed, I realised no one else could be perfect for my sweet, charming and filthy Liam. *sigh*

I don't even have to say how much I freaking adore Liad Edenhoff. if he was a real person, I'd attach myself to his leg just so I could follow him everywhere. (not my finest moment but I'm owning it) I am so freaking happy he got his HEA because if any man deserves to be happily in love it's Liam.

Also, who's freaked up bout the next book? I sure as fuck am because IT"S ABOUT LANDON OMGOMGOMG!!! *pterodactyl screeching* ~Sonal

“I gotta say, Ayumi,” he said, turning her to face him. “I always thought you were a smart girl . But this little idea of having sex with me whenever you want puts you in the category of 'genius'.”

Block Party is perfect if you are in the mood for a sweet, fun and sexy story for your holidays. If you are familiar with the previous 2 installments, you'll be happy to finally get Liam's story, like I was. Although I was mad at him with the way be treated Katya then, I absolutely loved him in Block Party.

In this 3d novel of the Twin Estate series, we follow Liam and Ayumi (Wulf's assistant)  through their secret and bumpy (non-)relationship.

On a short road trip, they'll learn a lot about each other and even more about themselves, and that's the part that I preferred.  Both hide behind their shells (albeit very different ones) their vulnerabilities and insecurities. They  are polar opposites, Liam, the fun, laid-back, playful womanizer, and Ayumi the controlled, uptight, bossy (bitchy) "Ice Queen". Their complex, complicated personalities perfectly complete each other's, though, and the way they evolve was beautifully handled. From fun banter to straight-on lash out, you'll be in for some explosive dialogues! They made me laugh or cringe, sometimes almost scream from frustration.

This is a story about self-worth, friendship and family. You'll meet a lot of characters, most of them known from the other books. I really enjoyed having more of them and at the same time they were those who annoyed me, adding more drama when there was enough for my liking.

Once again well done Stylo Fantôme, I already know that I'll be reading London's story as soon as it will be available!

Dayum !!! This series just keeps getting better and better. When Katya Tocci walks away with Wulfric Stone into the sunset, I was ecstatic! Omg what a perfect pair that was, stoic Wulfy whisked Angel Cake away from right under Liam “Edelwiesernanner!” nose, I rah-rahed jubilantly.
Liam , who's left behind, gets his own book and I couldn't be any happier. Generally when authors stretch the series , giving off shoot characters/relatives/siblings/friends their own books, I tend to get bored. BUT ....and its a BIG BUT - Stylo has written book 3 EVEN BETTER than first two books . And they were PHENOMENAL !!!!!
Take note ->> I read this book THE ENTIRE NIGHT up til 4am . I've NEVER DONE THAT . I couldn't/wouldn't put the book down. Liam the hot surfer, the lovable rascal, just ensconced himself in my heart and refused to budge. He's a quintessential flirt/charmer, with a smile that could knock your socks off and twinkle in his eyes that could pull down your panties . **sigh**😍

description

And it's so hard for stick-in-the-ass Ayumi Nakada to keep her heart locked tight and her legs closed against Liam's probing tongue and a dick big enough to be filed as dependant on his taxes!!!
And he has magic ! In his eyes, his mouth, his hands and his pants !
The untoward duo is TOTALLY OPPOSITE in personality, height, physicality, demeanour and attitudes.

They were also night and day. Complete opposites . She was eight hundred dollar Chanel shirts and aged wine. He was Costco vodka and room temperature cheese dip. He was the class clown, she was the ice queen.
He was like the antithesis of Ayumi Nakada. She was punctual and smart and proper and had gone to an ivy league school. Liam didn't ever use an alarm clock, could barely spell proper, and instead of going to college, he'd opted to go surfing. He was a corny, over the top goof ball, who also slept with just about anything that moved. Ayumi was stern and serious.
They are so different. A beautiful compromise. Or a disastrous combination.

But Opposites attract like magnets and when opportunity presents itself Liam wastes no time in NAILING HER TO THE WALL. They literally break sheet rock and indentions of Ayumi's ass are on the wall as a testament to Liam's Pelvic Prowess !!!

description

They get stuck together after just one, no strings attached, non-date!
All it takes is one taste of Liam's sinful tongue
one feel of his magical hands
one earful with his dirty talk and Ayumi-Yum is a goner......as am I 😍

“All it took was a clown to thaw the ice queen's heart.”

description

I am in Crazy in Love with Liam Eden and have no plans to fall out of the swoonworthy fog of Love anytime soon. The story is so slick and funny and witty and smart and pulsating with passion that I was invested from first sentence , uptil the last one .
The book starts and ends with an identical statement by Liam

How do I always get myself into these situations?

It's so funny cause Liam's life is a revolving door of ladies who are clingy and stalkery. The fact that he has to ask,

“Oh, sweet jesus, which one?”
“That sentence right there captures all your problems,”

Story has some god awful twists and hilarious , yet poignant turns and your heart will be left craving for more. I was not satisfied. I NEED MORE STYLO!!!!! the secondary characters are some psychos and some unrequited. Some returns , some newbies. They ALL help push the story further
I thoroughly, utterly, absolutely enjoyed the book and I'm gonna hound YOU ALL !! Read. The. Book !
Seriously !! READ.THE.BOOK! ( You can thank me later )

Liam Edenhoff likes things to be simple. He runs his business, has a small group of friends, and he's left the drama behind him, or so he thinks. He thinks he's found the perfect companion for his casual sex plans, she's as cold as ice when it comes to feelings and is willing to play along with the secrecy. One romp turns into two, two turns into three, and three turns into a road trip adventure that reveals feelings neither of them wanted to have.

"She wasn't allowed to be out with his friends, looking sexy and fun and ... and ..."

I fell in love with Liam Edenhoff when we first had the pleasure of meeting him in Neighbors. He gives off this happy-go-lucky vibe, but knows how to be a good friend and good boyfriend. Readers of the Twin Estates series knows he has both taken advantage and been taken advantage of, so of course I want him to finally get the happiness he seeks. Block Party gives readers the chance to get to know the real Liam, to see what's really behind his party-boy facade. We get to see the Liam who isn't utilizing his own sex club and doesn't spend every evening with a margarita. Liam has depth and Stylo Fantome really showed us her skills with character development with this one. He's far more complex than I expected and the relationship he finds himself struggling to make work was such a perfect storyline.

"No, no, no, no. Bad idea.
Horrendous idea."

I really liked Ayumi, our heroine and unwitting apple of Liam's eye. She's a levelheaded, smart woman with a past that's left massive scars on her heart and confidence. Taking up with Liam was not on her list of things to do and it certainly wasn't something she prepared herself for. These two share chemistry, hilarious banter, extremely sweet dialogue, and super sexy moments. Together they make quite the pair, but it wouldn't be a good story if it all worked out so easily. Stylo Fantome takes readers on a vacation of sorts that leaves these two having to figure out their own personal dilemmas and try to decide if there really is something to the two of them becoming a couple. I didn't love that the story took place outside of the grounds of the neighborhood, but I do think it gave the characters a lot of opportunity to talk and discover. There is a lot of character development in this book and the focus on their emotional baggage was excellent. They shouldn't work, but they do, and that makes this book so much fun.

"That sucks, Liam. You like her. She should like you back. The world is a shitty place."

Block Party comes across like a standalone, but there is a significant amount of story that involves characters from the previous two novels and it is my recommendation that you read the entire Twin Estates series in order. The previous two novels really make this story, especially when some specific character interactions occur and reference previous events. It's the kind of book that will make you laugh and make you feel. It's an opposites attract romance with just the right amount of angst and a whole lot of sexy.

We first met Liam Edenhoff in the first two books of this series and I was really excited to finally get his story. He is sweet, kind, thoughtful, happy go lucky and an incredible unashamed flirt.

Liam is not known for making the best choices when it comes to his bed partners and some of them have turned into regrets. However, when he has an unexpectedly hot and sexy night with Ayumi he is left wanting more.

‘Her throat was sore from shouting. Her ass was stinging from spankings. Her hair was a massive knot on the back of her head, and she was pretty sure she’d been fucked so hard, she’d actually developed a case of asthma. So. Incredibly. Worth it.’

Ayumi lives a pretty structured and boring life. She pretty much works 10 hours days, exercises and goes home to her cat. She takes life seriously and is very routined. She is a product of her upbringing. Her parents expected nothing short of excellence from her, her entire life and she has never felt good enough.

One sexy night with Liam Edenhoff changes things. For the first time in years she felt sexy and beautiful. And she wants more of that but in a no strings way. This works for both of them, neither of them have the time or inclination for a relationship but endless orgasms are definitely a definite plus!

Sex without feeling or emotion creeping in is pretty difficult to keep up and eventually the lines begin to blur. They are definitely feeling more and who can resist Liam’s charm right? I loved the banter and fun these two have together. Ayumi is a hard nut to crack and Liam is slowly bringing her out of her shell. To him she is enough just the way she is, she can just be herself with him.

‘I care about you,’ she’d whispered to him. ‘But I’m a fucking mess right now.’ ‘Let me be messy with you,’ he’d whispered back.

However, Ayumi seems to revert back into her insecurities and self sabotages any happiness that comes into her life and Liam is no exception. He has been nothing but sweet and patient with her complex personality, in fact he loves how different she is. What he won’t do is be someone’s after thought or secret. He has been there before and won’t put himself through it again.

Ayumi had no idea just how life changing being with Liam would be and if she has the courage to believe in herself as much as he does she will realise that she she deserves happiness and is enough for him.

‘Don’t you get it yet?’ he whispered. ‘The moments when I’m with you, there are no other girls. No one else exists. You’re it. You are the moment.’

I went into this book reluctantly because it's Liam's story. The man-whoring-selfish-immature-32 year old Liam. I did not enjoy his character from the last book. He proved to be nothing but a child having a tantrum because someone stole his toy. (Believe me that is basically the sum of his character in the last book.)

But did he prove me wrong! Oh sure he was still a man-whore but he had much more to him than he let anyone see. It just took the right woman to help see that but more importantly to help him see he was more than the flirt and clown everyone thought he was.

I didn't know who his love interest was going to be. Tori maybe because she had a crush on him. Or the terrible little sister of Wulf, Brighton who I detest but probably has a sob story behind her awfulness. To my delight it was neither!

Ayumi, Wulf's assistant, wasn't a character I payed attention to...or even remembered. Yet after this book I won't be forgetting her. I Loved Her! Her take-no-nonsense-prim-and-proper attitude was so fun especially reading how Liam slowly broke through to the woman underneath. (Both figuratively and literally ;)) I enjoyed her much more than naive Katya. Liam and Ayumi were polar opposites. She was uptight, he was free spirited, she loved and stuck by her rules, he loved to break them. Despite being so different they both understood what it felt like to not be good enough. And there you have what connected them.

Amazing and fun read!
Looking forward to Tori and Landon's story and I totally called that couple! Isn't Tori lucky Liam has a twin brother!

I loved everything about this book! I love all the characters and I’m so excited that we’re getting more. I’ve been Team Liam from the beginning, he made me all giddy on the inside. He and Ayumi are complete opposites but they’re absolutely perfect for each other. Great banter between those two. This one made me all happy-clappy at the end.

***4.5 ‘You Are The Moment’ Stars***

I know I should have been prepared for anything and everything after reading the first two books in the series, but holy hell can we say Hello, angsty emotional rollercoaster?!? I swear my emotions are still trying to settle after this one. But even with ALL the angst going on, they were balanced out some seriously swoon worthy and heart melting moments that made experiencing Liam and Ayumi’s journey absolutely worthwhile!

I was Team Taco aka Team Liam from the beginning. Yes, he did some stupid things in the first two books and I wanted to give him a good Gibbs smack a time or two, but his laid back and yet astute nature and innate charisma combined with his unhealthy love affair with tacos made him irresistible. But here we get to see what really makes him tick and find that he really is so much more. His heart is truly golden, but a little more bruised than anyone truly realizes and those bruises are what has him doing things that get him into the emotional entanglements that constantly plague him.

Ayumi…*big deep breath* Straight up, I loved the woman from the start and I ended up adoring the woman she evolved into in the end, but DAMN! She could give graduate level classes in how to repress your emotions and build up titanium walls around you. She is something beyond well beyond ice, in the beginning. But as her past unfolds, I got why she was the way she was and why she believed it to be the only way for her to live and my heart hurt for her. So watching as she allowed bits and pieces of her heart to be exposed, I found the icy woman had a warm soul that only needed the right push to break free of it’s confines.

Now for Liam and Ayumi’s extremely bumpy journey to their HEA...all I can say is that it was total opposites attract goodness! Yes, I got whiplash and wanted to smack some sense into both of them from beginning to almost the very end, but they were absolutely addicting when they were together. They were so opposite in so many ways that it made them so perfect for each other because through their differences they ended up helping the other confront their issues and hopefully bring about a lightbulb moment that would be the catalyst for a positive change in their outlooks on life. But of course nothing is ever easy, and dear lord did these two have a lot to work through. Some of their actions and reactions fell firmly into the juvenile zone, but they did bring about some pretty deep epiphanies even if they weren’t always welcome. In the end, I love them together and where they ended up, it wasn’t pretty, but Liam and Ayumi definitely deserved the HEA they got.

Block Party was all kinds of angsty, swoon worthy goodness that hooked me from the first page and had me wanting more in the end. If you haven’t read Neighbors & The Neighborhood, the first two books in the series, you won’t be totally lost as Ms. Fantôme has done a great job at giving the reader just enough background on what happened with Wulf, Katya and Liam, but I’m always a proponent of reading things in order and if you do decided to start at the beginning you’ll have a better understanding of why things between certain characters are the way they are, especially because Katya, Wulf, Tori and Landon do make some appearances throughout the book. If you love an opposites attract romance that has a tendency to dip it’s toes into the almost OTT angsty realm, but is tempered by a good dose of sweet and smexy moments then you will definitely LOVE Block Party!

meh.

Block Party is the third installment of the Twin Estates. I honestly didn't want to continue on with this series.. but when I saw that this book was about Liam and him finding love. Well, I was intrigued enough to dive into it. However, once I did.. I was instantly bored and opened up a bottle of wine.

One bottle down, many glasses from it, and I am more than happy that this book is over. Now there's like one book left in this series and I'm left contemplating if I should even bother. Will it end on a happy not or will I? That's the question I'm dealing with right now.

In this book, Liam is tired of coming in last. He doesn't want to be anyone's second choice, ever. In the beginning, I didn't really know what to think of Liam and Brie, Liam and Ayumi, or Liam and Tori. So many girls to keep track of and I was kind of annoyed with them all. Then Ayumi kind of jedi-mind tricked me into liking her. The chemistry between the two was amazing.. but once Liam got a bit butt hurt he wound up sleeping with someone else. Of course everyone woman he slept with magically fell in love with him and his penis.

Yawn. If it wasn't so predictable I probably would've died from boredom. Then the whole twists and turns were just annoying to read about. I just wanted to crawl into a ball and die.. but I had a glass of wine to finish and I can't waste that. Anyhoo, the characters in this book were meh. Seeing Wulf and Katya again was just meh. I'm sort of glad that (almost) everyone got their happy ending.. but now I just want to sleep off this book. Or read something more amazing. Or watch a movie. Or die. Or drink more wine.

So many choices.. so little time.

Block Party (Twin Estates, #3) by Stylo Fantome

4Ice Queen Stars
I was given an ARC by the amazing author… I don’t deserve her amazing gifts but I am so glad I got one!!
description

This is one of those books that you absorb like a sponge then at 30% you wish you weren’t reading it becuause the author makes you evoke such hatred toward the main characters you cannot seem to.
This book is easily a standalone but you can learn other characters backstories if you read in order or all pof them.
Liam is a swoonworthy dirty flirty sex club owning delicious piece of man!
Ayumi is a brilliant Asian woman who is a wiz at accounting and real estate who doesn’t do anything but work.

This is their story of being cracked people trying to fix themselves.

I could never regret you, Liam,” she whispered. “I'm so sorry ... I'm sorry I try to ruin things. You're wonderful and I'm ... I'm broken . I don't want to break you, too. I don't deserve you.

But at the end of the day I wanted to absorb this because the cast of characters is so .. .terribly perfect. They are all so … REAL! .. but this specific love story didn’t work for me.

“All it took was a clown to thaw the ice queen’s heart.”

Oh how I’ve missed these characters and this amazing world that Stylo Fantôme has created! I don’t know if you’ve read my reviews on the first two books in the Twin Estates Series, but they ARE top favorites of mine, so I was ECSTATIC to see that we were finally getting Liam’s book! I’ve loved Liam from the very start and I think pairing him with the heroine in the book was PERFECTION! Such an unlikely pair, but they complimented each other so damn well!

My heart broke for both of these characters, especially our main man, Liam. His heart was completely shattered and deep down, so was his ego, so the struggles between him and the heroine were REAL! And our heroine has her own hangups when it comes to relationships, so when “non-boyfriend-material” Liam comes around, he is EXACTLY what she needs. The journey for these two is tumultuous at times and of course HELLA SEXY, and they need to get over their pasts, their bruised egos, and how other people perceive them in order for a relationship between them to work. The struggle is real, but so is their budding devotion towards each other.

I had such a GREAT TIME reading BLOCK PARTY, book #3 in the Twin Estates Series. It was so entertaining, so sexy, so emotional, and an all around GEM of a romance read! I’m never disappointed with Stylo Fantôme behind the wheel, and she delivered something truly fantastic here! I’m not sure how this is being marketed, but in my opinion, I would not read BLOCK PARTY as a standalone. In order to truly appreciate what Liam has gone through, you MUST go back to the beginning. Trust me, you will definitely ENJOY THE RIDE!

And the next book in the series? I can’t even contain my excitement! BRING IT ON!

5 Liam stars!

This series is seriously the best. Neighbors and The Neighborhood made my top reads for 2016. Block Party just made my favorites list for 2017! Stylo’s writing is one of a kind. She always manages to blow my mind with her story telling ability.

I was so excited to learn Liam was getting a book. I NEEDED for him to get his HEA. I knew getting inside his mind would shed so much on his character. And boy, did it ever. I loved seeing the growth of his character which was important for Liam.

Ayumi (perfect name by the way) was an ice queen. She’s Wulf’s assistant and best friend. And she had always noticed Liam but never showed any interest. Until something was said about her being alone. She got drunk and then ended up being in Liam’s presence. And woah, the next scene was pretty fricking hot!!

Block Party takes you on a journey full of self discovery and healing. Two people who don’t know how to love find themselves, and love along the way. There are so many twists and turns with Block Party that it will keep you guessing what happens next. I highly recommend this series!

**FULL REVIEW**

This was my first Neighborhood book...yes, I know I've read out of order. Yes, I know there are two more awesome parts to read before this one. No, I don't care. And yes, I plan to go back and read the first two because OMGEEEE!!!!

Not only have I fallen in love with these characters, I think Stylo Fantome just might be one of my new faves. Although this book is written in the third person, I never felt like I was disconnected from what was happening.

And seriously, won't you be my neighbor? I mean, HELLO!

I'm not going to say much more except that I loved it. I love the style, I love the setting, I love the way it is SO WELL WRITTEN, and these peeps who reside in the Twin Estates? Yeah, well, they have a place in my heart now too.

I can't wait to see how it all began.

Over the course of the previous books Liam was the character I was drawn to the most so to finally his book made me very happy.

I’m not going to lie when Ayumi was first mentioned I was confused she had kind of passed me by in the other stories. Nicknamed the ice queen by Liam she’s a woman who gives off stay away vibes. The more we learn about Ayumi we see how lonely she is apart from work she really has nothing else in her life and when you meet the mother you get an understanding of why.

As I said Liam was my favourite, I always felt that there was more to him that we weren’t seeing. Still reeling from the Katya fallout he’s made some stupid decisions one in particular is too close to home. He’s the joker with the one liners and the reputation as a ladies man but with Ayumi we see a more thoughtful man who’s finally realising that Katya wasn’t his one ( at last ).

This book didn’t have as much sex as book one it dealt more with the dynamics of the relationships of all the characters. I will admit that for me the first half of the book was a little slow for me but the action picked up in the second half.

When I read a Stylo Fantome book, I always feel butterflies in my stomach and probably have one of the biggest smiles to my face. Her books always bring ease, intrigue and warmth to my soul. Her writing just soothes everything inside of me. Block Party certainly did not disappoint. The easiness. The bright and warm essence. The pages melting my heart. Block Party was a remarkable book that spun a love story of the ages. I fell irrevocably in love with the striking characters, the unforgettable plot and the brilliant dialogue that tied everything together. I was drawn in. I was mesmerized. Stylo Fantome truly showed why I love her and her books. Block Party was truly spectacular. I could not help but grin because it definitely took me on such a good reading journey I will always remember.

Block Party is the third book in the Twin Estates series. You will definitely need to read Neighbors and The Neighborhood first. Trust me, this an amazing series from Stylo Fantome. The Twin Estates will take on a roller coaster ride and touch you heart in a big way. It touched both my heart and soul. Block Party combined wit and banter to give an astounding and light read that will make you swoon. It had emotion. It was heartfelt and heartwarming at the same time. Cathartic. Charmingly perfect. Wonderful. Block Party was a friends to lovers story with fir and heat that will blow your mind. Totally freaking good. I totally felt good vibes while reading Block Party. Totally made me think of warm beaches, feel good summers and fresh breezes stroking your skin. Block Party was also an opposite attract story but written with extra sauce and spice to be amazing. Loved it!!!!Stylo Fantome gave us light and beauty to simply make me swoon hard. Her writing is simply gorgeous and I always find myself pulled in by it.

Liam at first I did not like at all. I hated him. But I grew to love him while reading Block Party because I saw the real him. Behind the cockiness and humor, there was a man with a heart and feelings. That part made me fall in love with him. He just made my heart yearn a bit. Ayumi started as frigid and cold but she blossomed to someone caring, fun and sexy. Liam and Ayumi just had amazing chemistry with wittiness and electricity. There were such an infectious couple that I definitely loved.

Block Party was definitely a perfect and enjoyable read. I can't wait for the next book in the series. So excited.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked the first two books in this series, but because I was happy about who won the girl, I was worried about this one. I didn’t hate Liam or anything, but it just seemed like he had a lot of growing up to do. Also, not unlike Liam, I had zero feelings about Ayumi. She seemed like a caricature, almost a stereotype. Luckily, those concerns were not just smashed to bits, they were directly addressed throughout the book.

He'd never really thought of her as existing in real life. But there she was, in a sexy outfit, wearing night time makeup and hanging out with Katya Tocci and Tori Bellows. How!? And why!? And were her tits always that amazing!?

The book starts with Liam in another dramatic situation due to the fact that he can’t keep his dick in his pants. Ayumi is his accountant, and also one of the few females impervious to his flirting. One night, everything changes, and they sleep together. At first, it’s only about sex, but before long they don’t seem so different from one another anymore. I loved their dynamic- Ayumi made Liam feel special, because she showed him a side few rarely saw. On the flip side, Liam helped Ayumi loosen up and enjoy life. That being said, she’s far more damaged than Liam realizes. Suddenly Liam’s complaints about his life seem pretty unimportant. I wished he would’ve fought harder for her at some points, but I understood that he was just hurt because he did fall so hard.

”Because she deserves the absolute best in life, and that means a guy who could actually care about her. A guy who could actually fight for her. And not just to prove himself to anybody, and not just to win some competition, and not just to feel good about himself. Just for her.”

I’m a big believer in “opposites attract”- my husband and I couldn’t be more different- so I loved this one for that reason. Honestly, I think it could’ve been five stars if they weren’t so many typos. This book would’ve benefitted greatly from an above-average editor. Still, I enjoyed the characters and plot enough to make it enjoyable. I also loved catching up with the others (always #TeamWulf).

”I'm just trying to work my head around this shit – you went from ice queen to sex kitten in zero seconds flat. So if we have sex, you're not gonna expect me to like be nice to you and take you out on dates and bring you flowers and shit?”
“If you do those things, I'll get a restraining order.”
