Dinner, drinks, and dancing sounds like a fun night out, but not to Phil. His ideal way to spend a Friday evening is on the couch with his dog and some take out. When he finds himself away from home on his first night out in months, he gets more than he bargained for in the attention of a handsome stranger. He doesn’t usually entertain these kinds of pickups, but when he w ...more

~A NASU GOOD NIGHT OUT~ (corny as fuck I know 🤷🏽♀)

This is why I love reading, this is why I love reading in the m/m genre. Sometimes you just come across little gems by unknown authors and fall in love. Nasu even with all the editing and grammatical issues still delivered a wonderful paranormal story that had me transfixed.

Phil is a nurse in need of some serious time off, but work distracts him from how very alone his life is but it will give him time to spend with his dog Hugo. When his close

This book is a true Vampire book, Some Paranormal books especially paranormal romance books, could pass as a general romance book. What I mean is that if you took the paranormal elements away you would still have a story.

With this book, it is about how Phil meets Shige (a vampire) randomly at a night club. They hit it off, but unbeknown to Phil, his meeting of Shige has put him into grave danger by another vampire, who is out to hurt Shige (Through Phil).

Shige and his group of vampire’s force P

I was approached by the author about a review for this book. The blurb doesn't really tell you a whole lot about who (and what) Shige is, but I was intrigued so I said yes.

I'm glad I did. This was an interesting and enthralling read, despite the multitude of grammatical and spelling issues that a good editor or proofreader should have found.

Phil, a nurse, is in dire need of some time off. He basically works, comes home to take care of his dog Hugo, eats, sle

This review is to explain why.

When I saw the blog tour for the second book in this series, I read the blurbs and thought it sounded amazing. Obviously, I wanted to start from book 1. I'm sorry to say that I just didn't get it.

I always give a book 10% to grab me. Regardless of the length of the book, 10% should be enough to grab my attention, convince me with the

When I read the blurb, I thought this would be a good book. Something just told me it was going to be vampires or something of the sort. But the more I got into this book, I don't know, it just wasn't all I thought it would be. There were some grammatical errors that threw some of it off too. More than that, though, it felt like some things were missing. And in fact, there were spots that were left unexplained. Overall, it just wasn't as I thought it would be.

Phil was overworked, and it was his

I actually spent a lot of this book feeling sorry for Phil. He was just an introvert who preferred to spent his time quietly at home with his dog, Hugo, when he wasn’t working. And he worked a lot paradoxically because he didn’t want to come home to a lonely bed. And of course, when he is forced to take vacation (two months worth!) he immediately runs into trouble. He “…just danced with the wrong guy.” I’ll say.

I wish the blurb or even other reviews had been a little forthcoming about Shige

I have to say that the blurb for this one, while enough to get me to read the book, doesn’t really accurately portray what’s going on in this story. It seems, from the blurb, to be more of a romance and that’s not really what we have going on here. This is the first book in the Blood Sealed series and it ends without much resolution. So really, this is a beginning, a learning about the characters and of the dangers that surrounds them, and a start to a relationsh

This isn't your typical vampire story, but that being said, it is a good one. Forced into vacation, Phil goes out one night and meets Shige, who isn't everything he seems to be. What follows is an adventure that Phil never expected.

The book overall is well-written, but there were times when I think it lagged. In addition, it took me a while to actually connect with Shige, while I connected with Phil immediately. Eventually though, I did find what I was looking for and although he isn't my favori

Talked by his friend into going clubbing, Phil doesn't even imagine that because of a handsome stranger he meets there, his whole world is going to turn upside down, and fantasy turns out to be part of the reality he lives in. It starts as something innocent and completely normal: wine, conversation, dance, strong mutual attraction, and soon they also go on their first date, although it doesn't end as planned. Nevertheless,

I enjoyed this read but I have to say that I really hope that their will be another one because of not them I will be disappointed in the way this one ended. It needed with so many unanswered questions and with a sense of not being complete for me. So I really hope that their will be another one.

Phil is about to start a two month vacation. He is forever into this vacation because he does not take time off from work nor does he use his vacation so he has two months worth built up that he has no c

Oh poor Phil! Anyone who has slightly introverted tendencies will surely sympathise with this character. A borderline workaholic who has been throwing himself into his work to avoid the emptiness in the rest of his life, he is suddenly forced into taking some long overdue vacation time. His friends seize this opportunity to drag him off of his couch (and away from his adorable canine companion Hugo!) and try to revive his somewhat stagnant social life. This book was intriguing from the very beginning. I hadn't read any blurb so didn't know what to expect and I was quite surprised when the plot unfurled. To be honest, if I had read the blurb I would probably have not read this book, which would have been a shame...

Phil is a nurse with a screwy schedule that he uses an excuse not to have a social life. He was in a relationship that ended badly and his love life has been nonexistent since. His good friend Jerome take Phil out clubbing one night w

I love being able to really relate to characters in novels. And sometimes that's hard to find, especially in books with a supernatural bent. But Phil, the main character, remains decidedly grounded, despite the extraordinary situation that he finds himself in. He's a little uncertain, bewildered, but not annoyingly so, and at a certain point decides to just go with things -- the same as one would when moving through a dream, I'd imagine. Just stick with it, and you'll wake up, maybe!

Receiving a review copy and reading through made me extremely anxious for the final. Being dropped into this story into a nurses hectic life and schedule immediately makes you love him. You're unsure of where the story is going but are absolutely sure you want him to be the hero.
The cast of characters you meet and come across throughout this tale, bring the story to life. Without giving too much away I'd say I'm eager for a sequel mainly because there are some love stories I'm looking forward t

I was really excited to read Nasu as I love vampire novels, and even more so Japanese vampires! Nasu certainly didn’t disappoint. When an unwilling Phil is dragged along to join his friend Jerome’s night out he finds himself being hit on by the very handsome and charismatic Shige. Their night together doesn’t exactly go according to plan, but Shige is not deterred and they make plans to see each other again. However when one of thei

I was in two minds about reading this one but I’m glad I gave it a go because it was actually really good.

I’m always on the look for new MM authors and this one definitely caught my interest after reading this book. It was written really well and I only came across a few gramma or spelling errors but nothing that hindered my enjoyment.

Phil works as a nurse but he become a hermit after his breakup. One night out and the sexy new guy seems to be ticking all of Phil’s boxes but is it too good to

I almost feel like this story was translated from another language. Either way, it is in serious need of some editing.

The first, say, half of this book had me hooked. Once Phil is taken to Shige's place, things start to become uninteresting to me. It's the same struggles for these 2 over and over again and it got quite boring. It took me a WEEK to finish 273 (?) pages. It should have only taken a few hours. Shige is a dick and i don't really like him. Phil is sweet and confused and really just

Complex relationships, great world-building and an intriguing story-line create a terrific read. Lots of world-building with an interesting view and development with the vampires and other paranormal beings.

Phil and Shige are so connected and so many interesting things occur with them. i really enjoyed how both of the characters were so much more than they originally portrayed.

I am exited that Enrai. book two, is already published and i will be reading it next.

Stories longing to have words put to them were in Jet’s heart from an early age. Jet enjoys exploring the connections and similarities between people whether they be shifters, vampires, or aliens, rendering the unknowable very knowable indeed.

Jet’s days are spent toiling away at a keyboard, slumped over a pen and paper hunting for those words, or playing around on twitter with a partner, and two r
