This is a really sweet, fun, fast faced, and charming read. There are some hilarious parts and I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times as the main character, Shay has quite the snarky and sassy attitude. I felt a really strong connection with her and I think a lot of romance readers out there will absolutely fall in love with her! Kolton is also loveable. He is one of those characters that will literally charm the pants right off of you. He is sweet,

This turned out way better than I expected. I found both Shay and Kolton engaging and their banter was a lot of fun. Kolton's son is absent for the first bit (maybe third) so I kind of dreaded him entering the scene but that kid's a hoot, even if I sympathize with any parent dealing with that mix of obstinate and curious.

I loved how suited the two were and how well their conflicts were managed by the author. The initial sparring-turned-passion was fun enough, but their connection once they met

The first thing I did after reading Kelly Siskind’s debut novel (Chasing Crazy) was log into Goodreads and add everything she had listed to my TBR (true story). Needless to say, I’ve been anxiously anticipating My Perfect Mistake, excited to read more from this incredibly talented new author, and honestly, a little nervous that it might not live up to that amazing debut. I’m over the moon happy to say that the nerves were unwarranted because this book was excellent and I’m sitting here now with ...more

Where to start...I received this book as an ARC by NetGalley. I am not familiar with this new author and the blurb was what had me intrigued.

Holy. Crap.

This was definitely one of the books that had everything--good plot, witty dialogue, humor, romance, interesting supporting cast of friends and red hot sex. This is not a suspense or thriller-typer romance. This is straight up man and woman and learning where to bend and compromise in order to mesh your lives together.

Shay is coming off of a

Overall Opinion: I enjoyed this book when they were in the bickering/sexy/sweet moments on their vacation. I was really disappointed with how the author followed it afterwards with the "back to reality" 2/3rds (or more) of the book. The H has a son, and I'm not quite sure why he was even in the book! I love kids in romance books, but this one was just confusing. There were hardly any interactions between the H and his son, and there was 1 interaction with the 3 of them. There was

This was my first book by Kelly Siskind and I didn’t know what to expect, but the description looked promising so I put my hand in to win an ARC and lo and behold I was one of the winners and all I can say is that I’m happy that I took the chance because I really enjoyed My Perfect Mistake. It was a fun, sweet and sexy enemies to lovers/second chance romance filled with great characters that I wanted to know more about.

I really liked Shay and Kolton, even when they were snapping at each other

ARC via NetGalley.

Thank you, Forever Yours!

I read Kelly Siskind’s debut (Chasing Crazy) not too long ago and it taught me one important thing about this new author: you can always count on her to make you laugh. Her second title just confirmed that. I’ll never think about G-spot without remembering that scene and laughing ever again (you’ll get it once you read it).

My Perfect Mistake is the first book in a new series (it isn’t related to her debut), and I’m

Back in January I read Chasing Crazy by Kelly Siskind and I absolutely loved it. So, when Kelly’s second book hit Netgalley, my cursor was on the request button faster than lightning. And then the publisher refused me the book!!! I mean, dudes, WTF????!!!! I got what the problem was: I wasn’t in the countries they were searching for. But I really wanted to read this book, like really really, so I did the smart thing, and wrote to them directly requesting this one and one

This left me totally divided. I adore bits and loathed others... But mostly My Perfect Mistake made clear that, Siskind's writing will keep me reading anything she throws at me!

I loved Siskind's prose in previous books. But then I also liked the storyline and loved the characters. With My Perfect Mistake it became clear that I am hooked by her writing. Whenever I put the book down and thought about it- there were so many things I found agitating. I am not a huge fan of some of the characters for

To be honest I skipped over this book like 3 times in the past week and yesterday I gave up and said what the hell I'm going to read it. Needless to say once I started it I couldn't put it down and I really didn't want too. I stayed up until it was finished and when I looked at the time (5:30 am) all I could say it was so damn good I didn't care I was loosing some much needed sleep.

Siskind is a new author to me and I am thanking the book heavens that she was sent to me. This book has to be one

I received an early copy of this book, began reading then promptly stopped reading to go buy a set of fans to cool me down. I did not stop reading again til I turned the last page. This book is such a fun ride from start to finish.

Shay and Kolton get off to a rocky start as they collide on a ski slope and exchange heated words. But their "hate-to-love" romance produces a chemistry so passionate they're at each other's throats one minute, and in each other's arms the next. I found it adorable

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So this book cemented the fact that Kelly is a must read author for me. Her debut book, Chasing Crazy, was so freaking good and as soon as I saw she was coming out with a new series, I knew I had to read it.

Shay is on a ski trip with her friends and she "meets" Kolton after they almost collide on the ski slope. They exchange insults and then go on their merry way. Later that night when Shay and her friends, Lily and

Wohoo! I've discovered yet another author to add to my favorites list. My Perfect Mistake was a great read, but I knew that even before I had read the book just from the summary. It promised a fun and hot antagonistic romance and it certainly delivered in that aspect!

My Perfect Mistake had an awesome cast of characters, from the main characters to the secondary ones. I thought Kelly Siskind did such a fabulous job with developing their personalities. It was very easy for me to become attached to

I fell in love with Kelly Siskind's writing after reading Chasing Crazy. When I was given the opportunity to read My Perfect Mistake, I couldn't wait to dive right in. This author is 2 for 2 for me, because I absolutely LOVED this book. This was an fun and emotional story of two hearts colliding and being incapable of letting go. The characters were compelling, the plot was captivating, and I could not put it down. I recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastically written tale full of ...more

Shay lost a big part, well I guess her entire personality, when she was dating Richard. But now that they are done, she is back with a vengeance. To say she has a strong personality is putting things gently. But man, do I love it! She is the free spirited, crazy, loving, and strong best friend we all want. I loved watching her character grow and become a stronger, more independent person. And her quick whit and sass is devilishly

After reading Kelly's debut book, Chasing Crazy, I was excited to learn that she was writing a series. And she definitely didn't let me down with My Perfect Mistake.

My Perfect Mistake is the first in her Over The Top series and she delivers a great story!!

Shay is ready to move and start living life again - her way. After realizing she was living her now ex-boyfriend's life, she is ready to start living for herself.

Kolton hasn't had time to really date since his business took off and has a son

The cover of this book is HOT, though it doesn't come close to conveying just how hot the inside of it is. Kelly Siskind's voice leaps off the page, and she's nailed the man's point of view. You never have to check the name at the top of the chapter to know whose head you're in. And wow! What a man! Kolton and Shay have instant hate-to-love chemistry, and it sets everything around them ablaze. Oh, the bathroom. The bathroom!

MY PERFECT MISTAKE isn't one you'll forget soon. You'll root for both

My Perfect Mistake by Kelly Siskind is a fun fast read. Even though I didn't love this book, I did enjoy segments of it, as well as the characters and supporting characters.

Unfortunately, I found my self wanting to skim throughout parts of the book. It just didn't keep my attention at all times. I feel like once again, I'm in the minority with this one. I wish I could say that I loved this book, but I can't...but, I did like

This is the first book I have read from this author and I can't wait to read more of her work. This book had me in stitches I was LOL through a lot of it.
You can't help but love Shay and Kolton's sexual tension which just made their arguments that more interesting.
Shay has been hurt by her recent ex and she isn't looking to start another relationship. Kolton hasn't found anyone who can replace his deceased wife.
They antagonize each other just by being in the same room, but they can't keep

Overall this was a good read. I liked the couple in this one but I think that I will probably like one of the other couples better. My only complaint was that this book felt long. I guess it just needed a little bit more action of some sort. I'm just glad that everything worked out in the end.

I really enjoyed Shay & Kolton's story. Both of them are damaged from past experiences, and come to the story with a lot of baggage. Their story is romantic and sexy as hell, but also poignant. I loved the secondary characters, loved the banter, loved the smoking hot scenes (which almost make me want to ski!). I look forward to the other books in this series, as well as Siskind's future books!

I absolutely love books that take me to new places, and My Perfect Mistake is no exception. I loved seeing Aspen through both Shay and Kolton's eyes. The book was awesomely spicy from early on! After Shay and Kolton left Aspen, I was eager for them to get back together. It was good to see them grow together as a vacation fling developed into lifelong love. Beautifully done. :)

Great dialogue, likeable characters and it's Canadian---I'm not just referring to the author, but the bulk of the story takes place in Toronto and Vancouver, too! Its Canadianess probably helped create an instant connection for me to the book, but the story was also well-paced and well-written. I'm looking forward to reading Lily's story!

Kelly Siskind's "My Perfect Mistake" is almost a modern, fun, and lots Sexier take on "Pride and Prejudice". We have a Devilishly handsome Hero, Kolton, who the Heroine thinks is a colossal Jerk and a spirited sensuous Heroine, Shay, who the Hero thinks is an Unholy Shrew. Whenever they meet their tempers flare and sparks fly igniting not only hot heads but their fiery passions. The hero is a widower and a single father who lives haunted by the memories of his wife, good and bad. He lives across ...more

I read an early draft of this book and wholeheartedly fell in love with it. My full review will come closer to release, but trust me when I say this is one fun, sexy contemporary romance you won't want to miss. Hot bathroom sex = EVERYTHING.

So, months later I was able to read this book as a fully published novel and OMG, I loved it just as much as I did the first time around. (If not more.) It's not often I re-read a story, but yeah, I make exceptions when it comes to authors I adore. (Like

My Perfect Mistake contains all the things I love in a contemporary romance; quirky characters, sarcasm, sass and an amazing yet diverse group of friends.

The dual narrative was essential in understanding the emotional barriers to each of the characters. Kolton is the hot business man who has avoided serious relationships, comparing all women unfavourably to his first love and mother of his son; his world revolves around his wonderfully unique child and work, he has essentially closed himself off

My Favorite Mistake is so full of heart and steam that it’s pretty much one of my favorite contemporary romances in recent weeks. From a hilarious skiing incident to steamy sex to falling in love, Shay and Kolton wooed me from cover to cover.

As the blurb suggests, Shay and Kolton meet in Aspen. They’re both from different parts of Canada but fate gets them both to Colorado because, they are so perfect for each other. Shay is this spunky interior designer and Kolton is this model-worthy owner of

I think I found another new favorite NA author.

My Perfect Mistake was an enemy to lovers story that was so much fun to read. All of the bickering banter between Shay and Kolton was hilarious. It made their unwanted sexual chemistry so hot! I wasn't sure if I ever wanted them to get past the hating each other stage because I didn't want to lose the laughs. I shouldn't have worried, though. Even when they decided they liked each other more than they wanted to admit, the humor continued.

Fire and ice, oil and water is what this book brings together.

Shay takes a trip with her friends to Aspen to forget her ex-boyfriend and what she finds in Aspen is the exact opposite of her ex. Kolton rubs her the wrong way from their first run in, literally. Shay’s no men rule just got blown when she is around Kolton, their banter of cold and hot runs her hotter and hotter every time they are together.

Kolton is a widower with a son and is
