I enjoyed some of the stories more than others. The first story was a very good story about The smoke jumping crew leader and his new female smoke jumper, he's a bear shifter as well as all his crew. It was a pretty good story. The other stories had some interesting parts but not as good as the first one. I liked the skydiving in the book, and the fire scenes were all exciting. The other story that I felt was very good involved the second in charge of the crew... it was about a nurse and an adopted little cub. That story was very good too. The other stories were sorta boring because they were kinda similar. The story for Hunter started off very interesting but it kinda got bogged down in the ending. He jumps from the rescue helicopter to find a lost hiker in a fire... then they hike for days... the last story is kinda a Christmas add on and it is interesting but only because it ties up a few of the other stories. It also adds a new female bear and her mate which essentially they avoid each other most the story... I probably would recommend the first and fifth story but the others are just OK really.
I thought this was a pretty good bear shifter series, with some memorable characters and engaging storylines. It did not seem to be plagued with bad editing like some other authors' books are, which is another huge plus.
We have a small clan of bear shifters, the only survivors of a rock slide that killed everyone else in their original clan. The five of them stick together, building military and firefighting careers together, and end up as a team of fire jumpers--parachuting near wildfires that are otherwise inaccessible. The five of them were already accidentally outed as bear shifters by the youngest of the crew and lost their former firefighting jobs. This new crew seems to be a sort of last chance to them, and they are highly suspicious of and unfriendly to humans. Then, of course, they receive word that a new firefighter is joining them for the season--Charlie, a human. That's bad enough...but when Charlie turns out to be Charlotte (who just happens to be the alpha's lifemate) everything changes again.
The series follows each of the five in their adventures in love, plus brings in a new couple at the end (a female polar bear shifter adrift on her own after having to flee her native Alaska in the aftermath of trouble her former alpha started, and the lonely human contractor that's been working for the bear shifter crew).
The only possible negative I have would be some of the awkward wording of body parts and actions during intimate scenes, but the overall scenes themselves work fine. Five stars that I feel are deserved, because there wasn't really anything that hugely disappointed.
The fire bear shifter series was an interesting and entertaining to read. This 6 in 1 book contains the stories a blaze to bear, a spark to bear, a burn to bear, a flame to bear, an Ember to bear and beary and bright each story focuses on a different member of the the burning claws smoke jumpers crew, each of them a black bear shifter who each must accept love, get past old fears and hatred, and open up their wounded hearts. You have fire chief Ian Reed alpha with Charlotte Moore, Hunter Wilson and Riley Hughes, Luke Griffin and River Bennett, Trevor Hayes and Bailey Webb, Zach Brooks and Mindy Olsen and lastly polar bear shifter Clara Walsh and Carter Shaw. All enjoyable books to read with interesting characters. I saw a excerpt for this series on Facebook and what I read intrigued me enough to go buy a copy of this book which I'm glad I did it was a very enjoyable book series to read and not my usual choice but I wasn't disappointed in selecting this book series to read I will definitely re read this book again in the future and if anyone is looking for a shifter romance to read I would recommend this series to read.
5 bear shifting firefighting smoke jumpers, learn that fires aren't the only thing that can burn hot. Read this great new series, Meet them as they each find their lifemates, with all the complications that go with falling in love with a human and having to explain just how much more they are then simple human. Plus meet the newest Bear shifter, a beautiful polar bear lady, with her own problems and the lonely man who just wants to love her. A beautiful series, of action and romance. Make your own choice, I think Zach and Mindy were my favorites though each story was very good.
Another outstanding series you won't want to miss!
This collection of stories had a lot of awesome characters, love, emotional situations, drama, angst, and unexpected twists that make it a definite must read series! Although not necessary, I would suggest that you read each series in the suggested order, which you can find at the end of each bundle. They're all terrific stories that you will be captivated by. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
This anthology of the Burning Claws shifter series is a delight. Although bordering on formulaic a few times, overall the characters are original and the storylines varied. Having firefighting bear shifters is not unusual, but these guys are smoke jumpers, those who parachute into forest fires to fight them. Each mate these bears find are dictated by fate, although their meetings, conflicts and happy endings each have their own flair. Well worth the fun read.
Oh my goodness I loved this series so much. I can't wait to dive into more of Sloane Meyers shifter books. It's hard to choose a favorite but I think it has to be Zach. He went through so much in his past that he was an @$$ and I hated him but he definitely redeemed himself and made me feel all warm and fuzzy towards him.
Fire Bear Shifters is completely safe with no abuse or cheating, no manwhores. There's no ow om drama, no others after meeting. It's full of fated mate goodness!
This is a fun series. All stories are short in nature and can be read on their own. However I would encourage you to read the series in order which this complete set makes very easy.
Zack was my favorite story. I didn’t like him at all in the first four books and then his story came and it broke my heart. These all are fast almost insta love stories, but they still provide a good world development and fun characters.
I really liked each man/bear. They each had distinct personalities, something that doesn't always happen in a series. I do have an issue with editing. For example, "The line went dead, and Riley cursed into the darkness." was in Lucas' story, but the name should have been River - his mate not Riley who was from the prior story. So, overall I liked the series, the characters and the set-up, just think it needed editing.
This series is about a clan of bear shifter who are wildfire firefighters. They have had a rough life, starting with losing most of their clan to a rock slide when they were young. These stories tell how they survived and thrived. Each member eventually finds their lifemate, but the journey isn't easy by any means!! I was so intrigued by each story, that I powered through the series. I lost track of how much sleep I lost !! 😂😂
An interesting list of characters In several good books
This is set of books about Bear shifters that are firefighters who jump from airplanes just seem to far out there fetched to be believed. After reading the way the author puts the story together with each character she introduces in a different book, it's believable. You feel like this becomes your family as you read the book because the way the author writes them.
I dont think this should count as a shifter series if they only shift to reveal themselves to their mates. If you read the first book, just change the names and boom the next 5 books. Same sparkling ring. Same plot same reveals same, same same. Could have made 1 book. Why be shifters if they literally only shift 1 time per book? They don't even shift for their job!!!! Arggggg!!!
WOW! Amazing stories! The last story about Clara I didn’t see coming! Touching, funny and yes, sexy. I loved the human interactions with the focus on love, honor, friendship and family. Was well worth the read and I just couldn’t put it down until I was finished with all six books! Great job Sloane!
So it's the first Bear shifters books I've ever read but they were good books I liked the characters..my favorite one was Zack's of course and it was the funniest of the bunch as well but they were all fantastic each different...wouldn't mind reading more like these 🤔
This was a series of six books and a total of 564 pages. So each story was fairly short but they were all well developed and thought out and the characters were fun as well as fleshed out. The last story was a surprise for me because it wasn't a firefighter but they were definitely connected.this was just a fun group of stories and I would recommend them
I really like these books Like you're actually in it Gives you a little bit of peace of mine Especially now how the world is It's like you can escape for a while I would love To get to read books all day..
Now I'm going to read her other books love them. If you ever need a proof read I will do it.
OMG I couldn't put any of these books down, I read all 6 books within a week and I loved every single book. Thank you Sloane Meyer's for writing such a fantastic set of book's, I would recommend these for anyone to read & I hope governing them as much as I have, they're all definitely 5🌟 for me!
I couldn’t finish the first story about Charlotte and Ian. There wasn’t any real story development. I wanted to like this book, but the feelings and reactions just didn’t make sense. The hero went from ignoring to suddenly making love to the heroine. I understand shifters seem to bond quickly but it just felt like something my teen would write.
Loved the series. A crew of bear shifter smokejumpers find their lifemates. Each book deals with one of the crew and how they fall in love. All the characters do cross over so each romance continues on.
Awesome series with great storyline. Loved this family with all their drama and shenanigans! Finding your lifemate in humans can be risky. Emotional and heart warming. Loved It
This box set was great read each book had it’s on little twist. The common thread was don’t let fear, your past, or hurt dictate your future or you miss our on a new beginning.
By the last book, I was wondering if Clara and Carter's story was necessary. Those two didn't ever seem as if they'd get together, but Sloane pulled off a beautiful ending in the ninth hour.
This is my first read for this author. I was pleasantly surprised with how’s delectable the set was, very engaging, hot sexy with full banter and chuckles. I live every moment.
Firefighters who are parachute jumpers that jump into inaccessible areas to help put out fires. These bear shifters find love and happiness in Red Valley, a small town in California. Each story is unique and enjoyable.
What a great collection of stories, each one a heart warming shifter romance. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one and I'm sure you will too, this set is well worth your time to read.
I enjoyed all the books in the series. Ian and Charlotte went together good. My favorite story was Zach's, he was such an ass, I knew he would have an interesting story and he did! Clara and Carter was okay, it seemed like an afterthought and was kinda flat. over all the series was a good read.
Sloane Meyers does write a good shifter story, or six in this case. Enjoyed the lot, been better if the stories were longer, maybe. BUT!!! Loved them all, were a bit different too, which is never a failing Sue P
I found these books interesting and entertaining. Never read this style of m book before, mainly because I thought it would be stupid. Happily I was proven wrong.
