Freeda the Cheetah
Kids love animals. And what child doesn’t love a good game of hide-and-go-seek? But who is the world’s very best player of hide-and-go-seek? Why, Freed the Cheetah, of course. Freeda the Cheetah of Mozambique.
Freeda the Cheetah is a delightful children’s picture book starring Freeda, that most elusive of cheetahs, who “runs like the wind and walks like the breeze”.
As the elephant covers his eyes with his trunk and counts to a hundred, the animals of the savanna scatter in every direction. He finds every one of them, from the hippo in the muddy water to the monkeys behind the bananas. But he just can’t find that unfindable cheetah. Soon all the other animals join in on the search - even the lion and the blue wildebeests – as the colors of the savanna begin to fade into the evening. Will they find her before bed time?
“She had stripes on her face and spots all around. And when she would hide, she could never be found!”
Beautifully-illustrated, with mesmerizing scenes of the African savanna, the richly colored pages of this wonderful little animal tale are coupled with a charming and whimsical rhyming text. Kids will love joining the animals in the search for the crafty Freeda, who "runs like the wind and walks like the breeze."
"No one knows where she hides, but they know where she doesn't –
because the places they looked were the places she wasn't."
A perfect read-aloud for the end of the day, children will delight in this singsong story of Freeda the Cheetah from Mozambique, the world’s very best player of hide-and-go-seek. (Ages 0-5. Includes a map of Africa in the end paper for an early geography lesson.

I won this book in a goodreads drawing.
Fun children's book about a Cheetah that is the best at hide and go seek. Reminded me of my Niece who can flat hide. Really put me in the spot as the people looking for Freeda.
Good illustrations, too.

This is a cute and simple child's book and has the African animals playing a game of hide-and-seek, with the Elephant counting to one-hundred while the various animals run to hide. The elephant finishes counting and goes in search of all the other animals, which it shows he finds--that is, all except Freeda the Cheetah.
While the story has delightful rhyming verses, and charming illustrations, although somewhat unusual with blurry feeling backgrounds, the hidden cheetah is never found leaving the elephant and his friends sad.
I would have found this book more enjoyable if in each picture you could possibly see where the cheetah was hiding, especially talking about her features and speed, how she could blend in. Leaving the animals feeling sad did not give this book a "happy feeling" that I would want for children. The target age indicated was 0-6 years old.
The elephant spent the day searching and located all the animals, not just one, but all the animals except the elusive cheetah. Overall, the missing cheetah ended the tale unresolved.
As a grandmother to ten, I enjoy reading books together and enjoying ones that are interactive.
I won a Kindle copy of this book during a Goodreads giveaway and am under no obligation to write a review and do so voluntarily.

The rhymes were cute for the younger kids and they loved the pictures. They were disappointed a little at the ending that no one could find the cheetah but we talked about places they thought it might be hiding and they liked finding other places to hide.

This is a delightful children's picture book about animals playing hide-and-go-seek. The animals cannot find where Freeda the Cheetah hides. The illustrations are colorful and it is a great read-aloud for young children. It is also a rhyming book. I received this Kindle Edition from Goodreads Giveaways for a review.

My 6 year old granddaughter read this book to her Mom on Skype, while I was helping with some of the harder words. My other granddaughter enjoyed listening to her sister reading the book as well.
This was a wonderfully illustrated story about Freeda the Cheetah and her friends playing hide-and-go-seek. My granddaughter loved reading the book on my phone; I am considering adding the kindle app to their tablets so I can add some books for them to read on there, as well.
I won this book on the Goodreads Giveaway; thank you!!

I want to thank J.T.K. Belle, author and Goodreads First Reads Giveaway for the eBook Kindle copy of Freeda the Cheetah that I won in the Giveaway.
Freeda the Cheetah combines children's interest in animals and the love of the game Hide 'n Seek in a rhyming book where all the animals could not find the Cheetah. This is a delightful book that the preschool children that I read it to loved and asked me to read it again. The illustrations are cute, attractive to the children and fun. I like it ended with a map of Africa to help start discussions on how far it is from the United States and how different the animals are too.

I loved reading this book to my second graders. The illustrations are so cute of the African animals especially the elephant. It has great rhyme and our favorite page is the one where they have to find the cheetah that's hiding. They also got to look at the map of Africa and it's countries on the last page. This book if fun to read and the kids really love it. I highly recommend it to kids who love animals and get to see animals from Africa.

Mozambique, Africa. Hide-&-go-seek is what all the animals of the jungle liked to play.
No one could find Freeda (Cheetah). Where was she hiding?
Follow the elephants, tigers, monkeys, zebra’s, porcupines, and all the other fun animals as they try & find her.
I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s safari book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s safari movie, animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.
Thank you for the free author; Goodreads; MakingConnections; Making Connections discussion group talk; Picklefish Press; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; book

What a wonderful game of hide and go seek! Animals from Africa play hide and go seek. The elephant counts and then goes to look for his friends. But neither he nor any of the other animals can find Freda. Freda of the cheetah is a very good player of hide and go seek.
An excellent children's book told in rhyme. Highly recommend! The pictures are gorgeous, stunning, and brilliantly colorful! I look forward to reading it to my nephew.

Adorable
I received my copy from Goodreads for an honest review.
I adore cats of all kinds so I couldn't pass on the chance of receiving this e-copy. This is a rhyming book about the Savannah animals playing hide and seek. They all must help Elephant look for Freeda the Cheetah because she is the best at blending in and not making any noise.
I can't wait to share this book with my grandson and recommend it to my friends.

Ok book
The illustrations in the book were top notch. The rhythmic was good. But the ending to the book just wasn't right. The elephant gave up on the game of hide go seek. The others kept looking but couldn't find the cheetah. So that is why I didn't give it five star. Children will be disappointed in the ending.

This book has great colorful illustrations. This is a cute story about animals trying to help the elephant in find the Cheetah. I do wish the words were a little bigger on the page. I look forward to reading this book and Tommy O'Tom in a Tub O'Trouble to my grandkids.

Freeda the Cheetah has cute rhyming text that depicts the animals playing a game of hide and seek. It introduces many African animals through a game that even young children love and can relate to. The pictures are beautiful and the story provides many opportunities for additional conversation. The map of Africa on the last page is another way to encourage further exploration.
I would recommend this book as a great addition to anyone’s library.

Beautiful illustrations and cute storyline. Would like to have more pages for a child to search for the cheetah besides the last one.....unless there was and I just didn't find them. My four-year-old enjoyed it.

Cute read
I enjoyed this story of Freeda being the best hide and seeker it was cute and the drawing was colorful and fun. Unfortunately I think I enjoyed this story more than my 3 year old though he did like pictures of the animals.

I won this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review. I thought this was a cute book about animals playing hide and seek. Somehow Freeda was the only animal that wasn't found. I would have liked to see her hiding as the elephant was looking for her but I never saw her. Maybe she really is that good at hiding lol. My son really enjoyed the book and I thought it was a good read. I wasn't blown away since I like books with a little more humor or mischief. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars. That and the artwork was just ok, nothing that stood out.
