These are the kind of stories that are perfect for telling around a campfire with railroad tracks in the background, or if you don't have that around a cozy fire. The author, Anne Carmichael, captured the time periods in description and language perfectly. This book is a series of fictional short stories about people involved in real train wrecks. The author designed some impressive stories around true train crashes. All the train recks did happen. This is a part of our history that was very interesting to learn about. The stories span centuries.

This is a historical Cozy Mystery. Easy read. The stories of these characters before and after death as train crash victims is captivating. I really enjoyed this book.
