Wildly successful entrepreneur Thane Walker is stubbornly set in his ways and adamantly resists the shackles of commitment. He’s seen enough unhappy endings to learn the best way to play is by keeping his men on the payroll.
Levi Silva’s dream of graduating from one of the country’s top medical schools is in his grasp until news from home changes everything. Now, he’s raising his two teenage brothers and trying to keep everyone’s head above water, emotionally and financially.
When Levi’s new job puts him in Thane’s path, their chemistry explodes, but their fear of being involved in relationships keeps them apart. Unfortunately, despite the intense desire drawing them together, neither man can move forward until they get past their own…Reservations.
Reservations is a stand alone M/M romance by a pair of authors I adore, Kindle Alexander. I’ve been wanting to read this for some time. What finally got me moving is that one of the secondary characters, Julian Cullen, is getting his own book soon so I wanted to get to know him in this one. But first, let me introduce you to the two men who are going to steal your hearts in this book.
Thane Walker is a twenty nine year old, very successful entrepreneur. Thane is a foodie. He loves to cook and to eat. He has at least two hundred restaurants across the country that he owns. He also owns a resort and a prestigious, members only gay gentleman’s club in Coronado, California. His friend Julian runs the club.
Levi Silva is a twenty six year old man who was dreaming of being a doctor. He was enrolled in medical school when he was called home to Coronado when his father passed away. He has taken over guardianship of his fifteen and seventeen year old brothers, trying to fulfill his promise to his father to keep the family together. Levi is working as a physical therapist during the day and in a coffee shop at night trying to keep their heads above water but barely surviving. When Julian sees how bad things are for Levi, he offers him a job at Reservations, his gay club, as a cocktail server. With no other choice, Levi accepts. He just never dreamed what would happen when he met the club owner.
Thane doesn’t believe in relationships or love. He watched the destruction of his own parents marriage which left him jaded. Instead, he believes in emotionally unencumbered arrangements between he and his dates, or escorts. As soon as he saw Levi, he knew he wanted him. And Levi didn’t make it easy. Levi did believe in love. He wanted that for himself some day. But right now, his life was a mess and his priority for years to come would have to be his brothers. When he finally gives in to the very persistent Thane, it’s everything he dreamed it could be, until Thane ruins it all.
“Every time they touched, it was like spontaneous combustion, their chemistry was off the charts.”
Thane was so set in his ways, sure that his way was the best way to do things. But it didn’t take long for him to finally figure out that it wasn’t going to work with Levi. He had to have his “ah ha” moment, to realize that he wanted something he’d never wanted before, someone’s heart. But did he already ruin his chances? Was there any possibility at all of another chance with Levi?
“This gorgeous, honorable, hardheaded man owned him, body and soul, whether he realized it or not.”
These two just checked off all my dreamboat boxes. Levi was trying to be everything to his brothers, while at the same time, fighting with all he had to not fall in love with Thane. And Thane, bless his heart. Once he was in, he was all in, doing whatever he could to woo his man. His plans were always ten steps ahead of things while he tried not to scare Levi off by moving too fast. We’ll just say the steam factor is off the scale with these two. They were like a live wire, constantly sparking.
As I mentioned, Julian is getting his own book very soon called, It’s Complicated. He is first mentioned in Kindle’s book Secret. But we really get to know him in this book. He loved to keep Thane on his toes. We also get just a hint at who his love interest will be and I can’t wait. I’ve read several of Kindle’s books now and I fall deeper in love every single time.
Thane was like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum when he didn't get what he wanted. Well, more like who he wanted. That being, Levi. He was honestly confused why Levi wasn't jumping at the bit to be paid handsomely to be his sexual conquest. He couldn't fathom that he was being turned down. That his money wasn't granting him his desire. Poor Thane actually had to put in work to get Levi. It was a pleasure reading about him thawing out into a human being and that his tin man persona finally got a heart.
Levi was the underdog we all love to root for. He is struggling to keep his family together and puts on some undies and sneakers to do just that. This is where he meets Thane, the owner of the club he is working at, Reservations. He's attracted to the man and they have some serious chemistry. But there is no way Levi is letting himself be bought. He doesn't frown on those who do, it's just not in his make up. He hasn't hooked up a lot in the past nor has he ever been in a relationship. But he wants to be with Thane. If only he can make the man see past his money and to see it doesn't buy you everything.
The build up of their relationship was frustrating at times but definitely rewarding in the end. When Thane had his ah-ha moment it was all gravy from there. He knew what he wanted and instead of using his money to get it he unthawed that heart of his and used it instead.
This was definitely a sexy fun read. I really enjoyed it.
I was so pleased to read another book from Kindle Alexander. But this one was a miss for me.
What saved it for me : * Levi is a great character and so sexy in his purple brief. Add his love for his brothers, doing his best to raise them. * The banter * The sex was hot, hot, hot
What didn’t work for me : * The infamous BAM factor : Levi and Thane meet and BAM : insta-lust (not sure they even had time to blink an eye). BAM : there are bumps on the road and BAM, solved in a few pages. * An overdose of miscommunication
Well I liked it , but that might be because I have a soft spot for reading about a character who behaves badly , and then has to work VERY hard to make up for said behaviour !!! There can never be too much grovelling !!
Sigh…. Is there anything by this writing duo that isn’t amazing? I mean, the feelings between the characters and the reality in which the problems they face, seem so relatable and just, real. In this one, we have Thane and Levi and I’m going, to be honest, I did not care for Thane in the beginning, he wasn’t a likable guy… I mean, maybe if you got to know him, but from Levis viewpoint, I could see why he was so hesitant, I was too!
Thane is used to getting what he wants; he’s’ a businessman, he works extremely hard for what he has and he’s made quite the name for himself with his different ventures. We see guys from the other books as well, Kellus and Arik, (whom I loved) from Painted on my Heart, and Tristan and Dylan from Secret… I always love catching up with other couples from other series’… and in this one, we always get Julian, whom I cannot wait to read more about, I understand his book is next and I’m very excited about it… I’ll be over here, impatiently waiting for it !!! Side note: I also hope we see more from Luke, I want him to have all the happiness in the world. My heart hurt so bad for him.
Now, Thane and Levi get off on the wrong foot….. they’re in very different places in their lives.. Thane is very successful, like I said, used to getting what he wants, when he wants it and going through life just fine with meaningless connections and holding people at bay. He doesn’t do relationships, not even a little bit and it gets him in hot water with Levi, more than once, and rightfully so, he’s kind of a jerk there in the beginning. There’s just something about Levi though that he can’t stop thinking about….
Levi had to leave medschool to come home after his dad passed and be with his teenage brothers. Things are hard for them, especially Levi, hes’ carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Working almost nonstop to stay afloat, it’s hardly working….things are tough and being propositioned by his new boss was just one thing to many…. I want to gush and dissect this story and tell it word for word, but I’ve promised no spoilers, so I’m trying not to!
Now, Thane, once Levi enters his life, he stops at nothing to get him to stay there and it’s a tough road. Levi doesn’t want the kind of relationship that Thane wants….or wanted…. We see Thane grow a lot as a person in such a short time. His attraction to Levi and Levi’s constant rebuff causes him to rethink everything he thought was the way things needed to go…. I loved that.
I will say, by mid-book, I was so in love with Thane…. I was rooting for him so hardcore! I feel like he was the way he was for a reason and I got it… I really did. Maybe not to the extent that he was, but… I could understand. By the end though, he was so in love with Levi and he cared so much about him and his brothers, he bent himself backward to show them that he cared for them…. Especially there at the end… but, he was persistent and unconditionally helpful and understanding. You just couldn’t help but fall for him. I was so happy with the way it ended.
Overall, this was a classic, heartbreaking and hopeful read by these two amazing authors and I am very lucky I got a chance to read it in promise of an honest and unbiased review. For those of you who follow me, know I can be a bit ranty and am always especially, almost too honest…. But this one, for fans of these two, you have to read this one. .You will not be disappointed!
Make Reservations in your calendar, because once you start you won’t put it down till you finished it. Kindle has done it again- written a beautiful story that will make you laugh, cry, hate and love.
Thane is a successful entrepreneur who doesn’t do relationships, he’s use to make agreements with the men he wants - no strings attached. He can’t get emotional invested because of his past.
Levi is living with his two brothers. One night when he is working Julian comes in, a man he met when worked at a PT clinics. Julian offered him a job in the new gentlemen club he manages. Levi can’t accept the job, sex is involved he thinks. When the the coffee place where he works is shutting down he is forced to look for another job. Julian again offers him, but can he do it? Life is hard and Obstacles keeps being thrown in his face.
The two men meet and Levi wants nothing to do with Thane and his payment agreement “I’m not one of your rent boys.” Thane is persistent, Levi is equally stubborn, until one night.
This story is so beautifully done, it keeps you hanging in suspens almost until the end. Will the two men ever find each other, will love ever have a chance? What about Levi and his dreams? The dream he gave up when he had to go back home and take care of his dying father and his two little brothers Can he give Thane and his money a chance? Question after question kept me hanging.
I’m not kidding when I say you need to make time in your calendar, had it not been weekend I would have called in sick. It’s truly amazing. ❤️
Should I point a minus about this book it would be that some of the sex acts are a bit too long, and I would have loved if they started to make love sooner instead of just having sex. Call me romantic.
This book was given to me as an arc copy in exchange for a fair and honest review. I would like to emphasize that it did NOT affect my opinion about the book. I do not write reviews to please the author or anyone else.
Although Reservations is only my 3rd (or possibly 4th?) Kindle Alexander book, I'm going out on a limb and saying it's my favorite. That may be a bit presumptuous of me, but I'm feeling a little rebellious tonight so I'm going with it. I was so utterly engrossed in Thane and Levi's story I didn't want to put the book down...but I also didn't want to finish it and have to say good-bye. Not only did Thane and Levi have me completely enamored, but Logan and Luke pretty much stole my heart.
On the surface you'd think Thane and Levi couldn't be more different. Thane Walker is confident and brash, thinking money can buy him anything. Levi Silva's more cautious and reserved. And while money is something he and his brothers are in short supply of, he's not someone who can be bought. Even though neither man is looking for any type of serious relationship, when an unexpected opportunity for Levi throws him in the path of Thane nothing could have prepared them for everything to come. From their entertaining first meeting, through the ups and downs and stops and starts of a new and very tentative relationship, there's no denying there's something very special between them. It was really wonderful seeing both Thane and Levi acknowledge and accept that sometimes you have to veer off the path you've chosen for yourself and open up to the possibility that there's something better down that other road.
Let's just talk about those Silva boys, shall we? While Reservations is Thane and Levi's story, it wouldn't be what it is without Logan and Luke. After the death of their father Levi takes on the responsibility of raising his teen-age brothers himself. Not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination, but Levi wouldn't have it any other way. And no matter how serious things became with Thane, his brothers always, always were his top priority. The angst I expected to come from Thane and Levi was actually felt for Levi and his brothers. I was so worried about their little family, always waiting for the worst to happen, for something to come along and screw with what they had. I didn't want anyone or anything to tear them apart. I wish I could have climbed right into my Kindle and hugged and loved on them all.
Chock full of heart, humor, and heat, with a great big helping of hope, Reservations will not only leave you wanting more, but it will leave you with a great big smile on your face.
5 STAR MUST READ!! HEART TUGGING! PASSIONATE! PERFECT!
OMG Kindle Alexander has done it again! An amazing book that will tug at your heartstrings & leave you with an incredible book hangover. I fell in love all over again with Kindle's incredible writing & the amazing way this book pulls you in to the point you feel every emotion.

Reservations is an amazing book with a story-line & characters that will grab your heart, body, and soul. I was a hot mess at times, but other times my heart was full of passion that only Kindle can create in her readers.
Her men as always are hot, passionate, attentive, and sexy as hell. I believe that with this qualities & some many more creates the explosive chemistry with all her characters. There is definitely a 5 star explosive chemistry between Thane & Levi. Once again the values of love, friendship, family, & finding the one person that is the missing puzzle piece in our heart. This is the reason that I love Kindle's books they always have these values in her story-lines & characters.
The PERFECT balance of everything that captures her readers & their hearts.
The quote " The heart wants what the heart wants" is perfect quote for Kindle Alexander's books. Reservations is the perfect book to this quote! The two main characters try to fight their feelings, but their hearts will not expect their reasons or doubts. Their hearts know that they are two pieces of the puzzle that needs to connect to complete the picture.
I love that other characters from Kindle's other books were part of this story. I love all her characters & love when they interact with each other.
I HIGHLY recommend this book. This is an incredible love story that will be hard to put down. The PERFECT ending that will have you high fiving the closest person & full of happiness.
I can not wait for the next book. Go grab your copy of Reservations & get lost into the amazing world of Kindle Alexander!!
Reservations by Kindle Alexander is a lighter different story that everyone is going to be surprised they needed or wanted. Reservations is so another great story from this wonderful writing Team. I was hooked on this story from the start. I loved it and encourage all to check it out. Levi Silva is standup guy who was working on becoming a Doctor with a scholarship At John Hopkins. Family comes first, so when his father dies Home he comes to raise his teenage brothers. He must work several jobs to try to keep them above water, emotionally and financially. Thane Walker is a successful entrepreneur who keeps his partners as employees. He has grown up with seeing enough unhappy endings to not want the L-word ever involved. Kindle Alexander explores how they each come to fit their lives together. They are both out and know what they need in their partners, this is the belief neither man can move forward with until they get past their own…Reservations. Kindle Alexander tells the best stories, Reservations is no exception. Kindle Alexander again gives their readers the story voice they expect. This time the main characters are on the same level in their lives except for economies. Reservations is connected to some of their other books, so We get to catch up with other characters we already know, but it can be read as a standalone. It is another Kindle Alexander Story that you will fall for, I did. If you like Kindle Alexander stories, you are going to love this one. Check Reservations out, The Guys are all great to get to know. A Happy Book Hangover can be expected with rereads in your future.
Well damn. Just when I think I can't fall for yet another swoon-worthy couple from the talented hands that are Kindle Alexander, these two literally steal my breath once again. Thane Walker and Levi Silva set the bar high as the unlikely pair who fight both their own and each other's reservations in this beautiful story of a love that went from 0 to 60 in a matter of moments. But this is not your usual insta-love. Oh no, the authors would never do that without crafting a rich journey that makes the sudden lust that crackles between Thane and Levi seem destined.
Reservations is abundant in the most erotic of sex scenes. Kindle Alexander always give their all when it comes to matters of the physical, giving the reader a passion that is felt deep within the pages of their books. I was hooked just as Thane and Levi were from that very first tryst and felt every bit of dread in my heart and soul as they struggled to comprehend how they could go forward without destroying their lives as they knew them. Each man has that apprehension about anything more than just a good and for very differing reasons. But you can feel the heat, the change in the tide for both of them as they come to realize that whatever is between them would always be more than just a good time.
Boss and employee. Financially settled and struggling to make ends meet. Levi and Thane are seemingly so far out of each other's leagues yet there is a fire between them that can only be controlled when each is near. But to say that they can keep their hands and naughty thoughts to themselves whenever the other is within touching distance is so not the case. Thane and Levi have an addiction when it comes to the other man and holy smokes is it something to see.
I guess what is most endearing about Reservations is that the authors masterfully once again combine fervor with tenderness and that right amount of humor. With all that goes on between these off the charts sexy men, secondary characters, many beloved subjects of prior books, make well-timed appearances to lighten the tension. Julian, in particular, is a man on a mission and as the manager for the club, he is a whirlwind of opinions and the words that go with them. Add in the charming and truly sweet brothers of Levi who are Logan and Luke and you have one heck of motley crew. But love is always at the forefront and the authors's characters embrace it even when they feel they aren't deserving.
Grab Reservations and enjoy a well-written tale of finding that imperfect person at the most unexpected of times. Thane and Levi will rock your world much like they did for each other and you'll find yourself smiling, sighing and panting almost as much as they did.
I was given an ARC of this book by the authors in exchange for an honest review.
Kindle Alexander does not disappoint. This was an amazing book. It is full of plenty of emotion, romance and humor. Both men have insecurities that have them running scared from love. The have to learn to overcome these and come together. It is a heartwarming story with wonderful supporting characters including a few from previous books.
Thane isn't immediately likeable but he faces his shortcomings and works hard to change himself to be a better man. He is a young, rich, arrogant entrepreneur who wants no strings escort relationships and isn't used to NO. Levi is a struggling med student who put his dreams on hold to take care of his teenage brothers. He is working two jobs trying to hold his family together. When it comes to Reservations he has preconceived notions and only sees in black and white at first. He is no escort no matter how much is offered. They have to decide if they can change and overcome all the obstacles to have a shot at happily ever after.
The writing team of Kindle Alexander will now be called the Dynamic Duo. These two ladies will draw you in from the very first page of any book that they write but when you read there newest release Reservations you will understand why. Reservations is where we meet two fantastic men. Thane Walker and Levi Silva. Two men from such different backgrounds but two men who have gone through so much in their lives that when they meet the combustible chemistry between them can not be denied. Thane Walker a successful businessman. A man who thinks he knows what he wants in his personal life when it comes to relationships but when he lays his eyes on Levi Silva its a total game changer. Levi Silva a man who has basically the world on his shoulders, from taking on the responsibility of raising his brothers, to making sure he can support them and himself and keeping a positive outlook on everything. But when he meets Thane Walker everything in his life turns one hundred and eighty degrees. Thane and Levi know that they are good for one another but there will be so many emotional and personal hurdles they will go through to get to where they want to be. You will laugh with them, cry with them and even yell at them to see what everyone else sees. But at the end all you want is for them to have that HEA that these two incredible men deserve. Sometimes secondary characters are just that but when you meet Logan and Luke Silva you know that these two young men are just as pivotal in Thane & Levi’s story and you won’t be able not to fall for these two young men and see how they complete the family unit that they are. There is also “Aunt Linda” she is a spitfire and a fantastic figure in all of these men’s lives she will fight tooth and nail for this family and everyone will know that by the end of this story that you would definitely want your own Aunt Linda too.
Well, "Reservations" lives up to its stunning cover. As expected, Kindle Alexander delivers once again.
Levi Silva's dream of becoming a doctor is put on hold after his father's death from cancer leaves him responsible for raising two teenage boys on his own. With ends barely meeting, he finds himself working in a gentlemen's club called Reservations.
Enter Thane Walker, the commitment-phobic owner of Reservations, who is captivated by Levi's beauty and demeanor. Both are stubborn and know what they want from a relationship.
The story delves into exactly that. Thane is utterly frustrating and an A-grade A-hole in the beginning, but as the story progresses and we learn more about his past, things start to make sense. Levi, on the other hand, is on point in every way. I found myself totally high-fiving him for his decisions regarding Thane. The boy's got guts! Haha!
Clearly, I'm on Team Levi, so it's entertaining to watch Thane squirm! Speaking of "squirming," there's quite a bit of that—I don't know if it's just me, but I found myself more drawn to the pre- and post-sex scenes when they have meaningful conversations. That felt more intimate to me.
We also see some familiar faces from other books, and I was especially thrilled to see Reed Kensington! I loved "Up in Arms," and I wish Trevor had made an appearance too!
Overall, this is another solid effort from the duo of Kindle Alexander. I absolutely adored the main characters. I also enjoyed reading about Luke, Logan, and the delightful Julian (hurry up with his story, please!!!), and I can't recommend this book highly enough!
This was a solid 4-star for me till the last 10 pages or so of the main book (Epilogue not included).
Levi was a character I connected with( yes even with his stubbornness and overthinking about simple issues lol) . I do that a lot and as such what would’ve normally annoyed me in any other book was very realistically written in Levi’s case.
Thane was the quintessential asshole who messed up and goes about wanting to redeem himself. One thing I didn’t get though is how just a single conversation with his parents could make him do a complete 180 in attitude. I found that bit unbelievable to be honest. However, his grovelling was some of the best I’ve read so I overlooked
Also, though I understood where Levi was coming from, it got to a point I just needed him to give poor Thane an inch to manoeuvre.
I must say that Julian was actually one of my favourite characters in this book and I also liked reading about teenage boys who aren’t rude and verbally abusive as seems to be the case with any American book that has teenagers as characters. It was breath of fresh air
Now the book was going on very well till COMPLETELY unnecessary drama was introduced virtually out of nowhere. The story could have absolutely gone on without that and I still can not get why it was included. It absolutely messed up my reading experience. This also caused me to round my rating down because anytime I think about it, I get annoyed ALL over again. Ugh.
I do hope Julian’s book (which I’m definitely reading) doesn’t have any of such unwanted surprises. Once was enough.
I’m really not sure where to start, this book has it all, i laughed, I cried, at times I got angry and I fell in love with Thane, Levi and his younger brothers. I gave Reservations 5 Stars but if ever there was a book that deserved more stars this was it, the writing duo of Kindle Alexander have once again given us a love story that is believable, it’s not all love and roses they have real life problems that need to be dealt with and they make mistakes because they are human, there are new characters to fall in love with as well as cameo visits from characters we already know and love. A beautifully written book that had me hooked on the first page and although I would have loved to have finished it in one sitting I also wanted to savour this story, it’s a book I will read over and over again because Thane and Levi have stolen a piece of my heart and I believe that each time I read their love story I will get a little bit closer to this amazing hot couple who both had to learn sometimes it’s what your heart is feeling rather than what your mind is thinking. I hope I have done this book justice, I didn’t want to write a review that would spoil this amazing story for you so I’m just going to say please one click Reservations it’s a must read
* Winner of the 2018 Book Excellence Awards, * Elit Awards LGBT Book of the Year. * We have a beautiful romance with Thane and Levi. Thane developed the club, Reservation, as a high end safe meeting place for gentlemen to meet. * Thane has dark hair and eyes, is "model" handsome, and believes if this place had been around earlier, Julian wouldn't have been attacked, beaten and broken. The club is working out wonderfully, Julian manages it, and the bar and dance area and attatched hotel are booming also. Julian was helped by Medical student, Levi, for Julian's physical therapy, so when Levi needs help, Julian hires Levi to be a waiter. * Levi, a ginger is raising his two teen brothers since their Dad died. He needs to make ends meet, and hopes to finish Med school.
Things are moving along, as we see the brothers surviving, Thane's businesses doing well, and the deep attraction Thane and Levi experience is getting in the way. Levi makes great monet at Reservations, but does not accept any sexual offers he is given. He's trying to keep his priorities straight. After a bit, Levi vehemently turns down Thane's offer for sex, (a lot of cash!). Thane and Levi make thier fair share of mistakes.
Thane and Levi do get together, we feel the electricity in the air, and our men have hot, crazy, wild sex. It's earth shattering spectacular for both men. They are dynamite together, perfect fits in their passion, their coupling, and the erotic night.
Each knows it's extraordinary.
We see the angst and thoughts of each man's worries and wants. The banter is fun, sexy, and important.
We get humor, realistic scenes of the teens, Levi and Thane as they have interactions. It's a bit long, but there is a lot of ground to cover, with business, the boys school, the lingering grief, and Levi's steadfast goal to keep his brothers with him and fulfill the promise he made. Plus Levi's self esteem that refuses to be set aside.
======= (I've read "Painted on my Heart", about Kellus and Arik, plus "Secret" with Dylan and Tristan; these characters from those previous stories are here, too. But you do not need those stories to enjoy this one. Each tale can stand alone.)
Nah. Huh-uh. No way is this a 5 star book. (I really wish GR would let us filter out ARC reviews)
I struggled so hard to get through this book. It took forever to finish it.
Thane, Ugh. Thane. What a spoiled, obsessive tool this guy was. Every time things didn't go his way with Levi he took it out on his friends and worse, employees, making them so miserable, they quit left and right. Then once things go his way with Levi, he is so obsessed with the guy that he lets all of his companies slide and ignores his responsibilities to sit in a club, night after night, and just watches his boyfriend be a waiter. Seriously. I'm not making that up.
Levi is a character we are set up to have a lot of empathy for but his constant brick wall about money made me want to shake him. He is really, really lucky that he was good looking and that Julian was persistent because he would be another poverty statistic if Julian hadn't been determined to save him. His judgmental attitude toward escorting when Julian (former escort) is saving his ass was immature. Then, he falls in love with a rich man. Either you figure out how to share some of his resources or find someone poor like you. It was so frustrating partly because it was naive but mostly because it just kept going on and on and on. Constantly arguing with himself and Thane about it.
The 30 minute magic therapy brunch with Thane's parents was jaw-droppingly absurd. The last minute twist with Levi's mom was eye-rollingly ridiculous.
The best thing about this book really were Levi's brothers and Julian. I hope Julian and the Marlboro man have a much more healthy, hot and mature relationship coming.
I'm not sure where to start this review but to say that I was extremely honored to read an ARC and experience the wonderfully talented, brilliant minds and imaginations of the two authors that make up Kindle Alexander! I will tell you that Levi and Thane's story will pull you in, engulf your emotions, and, at times, destroy your heart.
"Ever since the first time I laid eyes on you, I couldn't get you out of my head. Then, after our first night together, I couldn't get you out of my heart."
"He was thoroughly kissed, body and soul, as his heart leaped from his chest, landing in Levi's hands, and Thane was helpless to stop it."
"Thane Walker was everything he had always wanted. All of his dreams coming true in a sexy, sweet package, which made the man dangerous."
Levi and Thane's sexual chemistry leaped off the pages and totally melted my Kindle! Three words to get you intrigued, vibrating butt plug!
1-click to experience this phenomenal story of lust, love, family, adversity, feelings and finally trust! In typical Kindle Alexander fashion, the reader gets a glimpse into the next intriguing story, Julian's! I can't wait!
The reason I’m giving it 2 instead of 1 stars is one of the characters, Levi.
Levi is a med student who’s left to care for his 2 younger brothers after the death of his father. Even though he has some reservations (😉) about working at a “gentleman’s club” called Reservations, the pay is too good to pass.
Thane on the other hand, the owner of said club, is an entitled asshole. He’s filthy rich and treats people like shit when he’s in the mood for it (like having the entire staff of a restaurant scrubbing the kitchen on their knees because the kitchen isn’t up to his standards. Whereas he’s just sexually frustrated because Levi turned down his offer to be his “paid companion”). He sets his sight on Levi and is baffled when Levi turns him down. So he starts stalking him, and proposing him again. And again. And although I don’t usually mind a stalker story, this one made me feel extremely uncomfortable, that’s why I gave up.
5 stars for Levi, -5 stars for Thane, and 2 for the plot (at least for the first 28% that I’ve read before I gave up)
Wow! It's another Kindle Alexander book! What those two amazing ladies are able to do with their characters over and over again is beyond words!
Levi is a young medical student who has not had an easy life, starting the day his druggie mother decided that being a mother was just not a role she wanted. After his father was first diagnosed with cancer and was finally on his way to recovery, Levi left for Maryland on a partial scholarship in hopes to fulfil his dream of becoming a doctor. However, with the hardship of live his father became sick again and Levi had to make life altering decision. Now alone with two younger brothers to care for Levi is fincinally to keep is family together when it seems like life and every obstacle seems to keep trying to pull him down! Then one evening after finding out he has lost one of his jobs a former PT client of his walks in and gives him an offer of a job that can be the answer that he has been looking for!
Thane has always found it easier to have some sort of contact when going into any kind of hook up. That way each party knows what the other wants and in the end there are no emotions involved and no one gets hurt!
Barely 3 stars.. I was disappointed with this book.
let's start with what I liked: - Levi, for most of the time. I liked his devotion to his brothers and how he had values he didn't ignore in the face of his lust. - Levi's brothers were a breath of fresh air. - The steam... Let's be real: IT WAS HOT! Like extra hot! Levi and Thane burn the sheets.
As for what I didn't like.. - How Thane came a full 180 in a matter of hours, and then turned into a sap when he was so anti-relationship . It was OTT and very unrealistic. - Levi not giving Thane a break until the very end of the book.
I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review. - The last several pages of the book came out of nowhere.
Reservations by the outstanding author Kindle Alexander is a standalone, full-length, m/m romance novel.
Levi Matthew Silva is a 26 year old physical therapist, who got a bad cards dealt by karma. He had to opt out of medical school and become guardian of his brothers. He works hard to make ends meet. Nathaniel - Thane - Walker is a 29 year old very successful business man. He´s set in his ways. He doesn´t do relationships, ever. The fall out is too messy for his taste. Fate puts Levi in Thane´s path and boom!! They have this crazy insta-chemistry. But neither is willing to give. But they can´t get each other out of the head. Thane doesn´t understand what happens and it is highly entertaining to read how devastated he is when he gets shut down by Levi. Kindle Alexander is one of my few one-click authors. Every time a new book releases I´m giddy to get my hands on it. And Reservation is no exception. This book is extremely well written, beautifully thought out and beautifully told. I love the story and the characters. I love to read about their struggling and their success. And I loved to read about Julian. He´s one of my favorite characters ever and made his appearance in Secret - Dylan and Tristan´s story- the first book I ever read by Kindle Alexander. He has a safe place in my heart. I highly recommend Reservations and wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thank you, Kindle Alexander!!
I recently commented that I was a fluffy butt reader. When I described what that is I illustrated as "guarantee HEA, just enough story tension to keep you engaged, plenty of steam and leave you with a big ol' grin". Now I wish I could have said "Read Reservations". Because Kindle Alexander delivers this with a check in every box plus more!
Normally I finish a book with a newly minted book boyfriend in my posse. Damn, seriously I cannot choose. First I was all over Levi - because cute boy next door and firm family values. And Thane was being well...an unintentional jerk but I still wanted to kick his ass. However, Kindle Alexander gives us a Pinocchio transformation in Thane that you can't help but want him to win his man! * Swoon * And Levi...yeah don't let those innocent looks fool you because HOT DAMN!
As a huge fan of all the previous books, it's a joy to see characters you've previously loved hop into the story. However, Kindle Alexander doesn't feel like you've missed out if you've not previously read. As always, they bring characters to full life and give the reader an experience of these wonderful secondary characters. All these characters lend to the story the necessary ingredients to keep you flipping page after page. Especially Julian - which HINT he needs his story next!
If you are new to Kindle Alexander and looking for something to make your heart happy, dive right into this read. If you are a fan, you won't be disappointed with yet another love story that will leave you grinning. 5 out of 5 stars.
The human heart, it wants what it wants, it's uncompromising in love, it's giving however it also harbours fears.
Levi Silva could not stop the hurricane known as Thane Walker. The dark and confident man oozed sex appeal and charisma. Levi could not be more different than Thane. Their socio-economic differences is a huge roadblock for Levi. He will not compromise his beliefs and values.
Thane does not believe in giving his heart, every encounter is kept casual and unattached. But Levi is chipping away huge chunks of his armour with every encounter. Levi leaves him confused with his feelings, craving more and willing to change his views about love.
Family is forefront in this story, Levi is a caring and supportive brother. However his heart gives in every way except when it comes to his own happiness.
3.5-4 stars This started pretty slowly and I wasn't really feeling it for about the first 40%. Thane was bratty and kind of stupid? Like who doesn't understand not wanting to have sex for money, even when it was explained he didn't understand?! Ugh. But then it started really coming together for me and the last half of the book was really good. I want Julian's book so badly!!!! I liked Levi, he was sweet and while he was in a tough situation, it didn't seem unrealistic or overly dire ya know? I mean it was hard and all. I liked the dynamic between his brothers and him and also how Thane made sure to include them. I wasn't sure about Once Thane pulled his head out of his ass he was very sweet and i adored him. levi had genuine reservations about things, it totally made sense to me, so I appreciated that it wasn't some contrived weirdness.
Thane and Levi are an amazing story that pulls you in from the first chapter. There are times that you want to shake them until the light bulb goes off and realization of what their actions are causing happens. Logan and Luke are great secondary characters and helps to explain so much about Levi. Julian and his snarky comments are wonderful (his story please!). Thane growing and realizing what he thought he knew was not the full story and then dealing with emotions he had long ignored, just heartrending and wonderful.
