A baby is all I've ever wanted.
After almost dying on the operating table,
I despise everything about motherhood,
especially the little girl I brought into this world.
It makes me sound awful; hell; I am awful.
How can I make myself fall in love with a baby
I feel no attachment to?

I don’t recognize my wife anymore.
When I thought I might lose Emma during our baby’s deli

If I had to use just two words to describe Unwanted they would be heartbreakingly beautiful. Fortunately, I do not need to limit myself to just two words. The synopsis alone is enough to suggest just how intense this book is going to be – but even that fails to prepare you for this story that will really test your ability to read the hard-hitting subjects.

Although Unwanted is a wonderful book you can read as a standalone novel, I would suggest reading the prior stories connected to this one. Lei

A novel that will have you feeling long after the last word is written. Compassionate, heart pounding and an emotional read of how a traumatic event can cause multiple emotions in a relationship and can hinder a family. Leigh Lennon has given us an amazing and powerful novel in Unwanted.

Unwanted is a book that delivers sadness, grief, heartache, longing and eventually joy. An abundance sensations that Leigh takes you on within her w

This was my first read from this author and not my usual type of book but I really enjoyed it. The story revolves around the very real, heartbreaking issue of post partum depression.

Emma and Tyler's love story is not a simple one and there are many emotional scenes in this book. The author did a great job of showing both POVs with this difficult subject.

I received an arc of this book.

I am sitting here trying to gather my thoughts about Unwanted. I am having a hard time doing this. I have tried to write this review more than once and yet I just can’t get my words right to express my feelings. I guess I should note that when I had my son I had post-partum depression on top of out of control anxiety and while I was nowhere close to what Emma was. With my daughter, I had complications and almost

This book had a lot of heart-break. Pregnancy experience is different for everyone. In fact, when discussed, everyone has something unique to say about their experience. Postpartum depression is such a rare topic for books to showcase. This story shows the plight of a new mother unable to feel anything for a new born. It shows how the husband tries to put his family back together. It shows love, compassion, understanding, support we get from our families.

The plot itself was pretty straight forw

An extremely emotional read for me. A tragic story that turns into something beautiful. Emma's struggle was at times hard to read but it sheds a light on a subject that seems to be swept under the rug a lot. Bravo!

In the first book of this series, I didn’t think I liked Emma very much but having read this book, I feel like this she is a woman that I want to know more about.
This author leaves no stone unturned in her pursuit of subject matter that will provoke a reaction, that will get under your skin and make you think, make you take on board the pain and just make you …feel, this was all that and so much more.
Unwanted was by far the hardest of the three books in the series so far to read, I felt emotion

This is the 3rd book in the series that I have read. One doesn't really need to read them in order as the book will recap the situation for readers that haven't read it yet.

Tyler and Emma have been married for a while now and were trying to have a baby of their own. They faced some difficulty but finally managed to conceive; only that there were complications during the delivery and Emma was left fighting for her life.

Between postpartum depression and trying to come to terms with almost losing h

This is the first book of Leigh’s that I have read and I thought it was amazing!

Emma and Ty struggle to conceive naturally so turn to IVF, the pregnancy goes well and they are excited to welcome the little bundle of joy into the world, that is until Emma almost dies giving birth! Ty realises things are not right when he comes in from work and the baby is crying with a full nappy and Emma is just sat there.

Things go from bad to worse and eventually Emma is admitted to a facility for help. When

From the very beginning this book had me by the heart strings! I did not bother to read the blurb so I really didn't know what it was about. My guess was it had something to do with an unwanted pregnancy. Right track of thinking..... not completely correct assumption. As a woman I can empathize with wanting a baby so badly. What I can not empathize with is then not wanting anything to do with that baby that I wanted. This story gives you a very emotional look into p

Unwanted by Leigh Lennon is a sad story, it grabbed my by the heart-strings and never let go. You’ll need plenty of tissues for this one. It takes you through the burning desire to have a child and then suffering from the fear that comes from almost dying during giving birth to that longed for baby. Unreasonable feelings can be caused by lots of factors, but postpartum depression is one of the main culprits.

This is the first book by Leigh Lennon that I have read and let me say it won't be the last. Even though this is the third book in this series it can be read as a standalone since the author gives us enough background on the family and other characters in the previous two books. This book was an emotional read that will have you run the gamut of your feelings from the first page to the last until you need to be hung out to dry during your recovery. I’m still thinking about this book. It is a follow up to two other books by this author but certainly can be read as a standalone. However, I recommend reading the other books, Unfiltered and Unacquainted, to get the total impact and understanding of the family dynamics. This author tackles relevant issues in a realistic and true manner. At several times this book broke my heart. You will run the gamut of emotions from sobbing for Emma, Tyler and Nick to being hopeful for Emma and Tyler, being a ...more

First and foremost, this is a great book!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. I stayed up much too late because I really wanted to know what was going to happen with Emma and Tyler.

To sum up the book, Emma had a traumatic birthing experience with her daughter, Aspen, and it brought on postpartum depression as well as some PTSD. She ultimately does seek help only to find herself not able to move past the fear she held in herself and in her mind. Tyler, her husband, was there throu

This story wasn’t easy to read. Being a mom is the hardest job I’ve ever taken on and though I didn’t experience what Emma did, I was able to feel her pain. And poor Tyler was such a stand up guy that at times I wanted to just wring his neck, and yet I loved him for his commitment to Emma.

I enjoyed the way that the author was honest about how being a mom isn’t just a cake walk for some people. I enjoyed the way that Tyler loved his wife and baby and really wanted the best fo

Wow! I saw another read post that if she had to use two words to describe this book it would heartbreakingly beautiful and I could not agree more. Tyler and Emma are an amazing couple who go through so much in this book and it's very intense and emotional. I was a mess by the end of the story and it's so painful and you feel so much for both Tyler and Emma. Make sure you have some tissues handy because you'll need them. Unwanted was such a sad story that totally pulled at my heartstrings from the very first page. It was really well written and you tell just how much heart and soul had gone into this book by the author as it deals with some serious issues.

"Unwanted" is the first book I've read by Leigh Lennon. This is a MUST read for 2018!! Emma and Tyler are deeply in love and want to add to their family. They are having difficulty conceiving so they turn to IVF. When they find out they're expecting they are over the moon. However, the delivery doesn't go as planned and Emma almost loses her life.

This is an incredible story that takes us through Emma's journey with postpartum depression. Not only do we see how it affects her, we also see the im

Great read!

This is my first book from this author and boy did I stay emotionally invested through it all. Having gone through a similar situation, I understood and related to Emma and Tyler's story. I felt all their emotions from beginning to end. This definitely won't be my last book from this author. Very impressed how she was able to bring out all these very real situations and bring them to life in her words. Postpartum depression and PTSD are very real issues that shouldn't be taken lightly

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of this book for an honest review. This is the first book I have read from this author and while it stated that it could be read as a stand-alone and didn’t have to be read in sequence, I did feel a little confused at the start. There were lots of other people’s names being referred too and while I knew they were important I found it frustrating as I wanted to know their back story, especially Justine’s, I felt she was significant.

I’m attempting to write this as I am looking for the missing pieces of my heart that were ripped out and destroyed during the process of reading this book... Not only was it well written but it also touched on subjects that I could relate to. I literally cried for both Emma and Tyler, I also laughed, cringed and cheered for them. The love that Tyler showed Emma and Aspen is amazing and don’t even get more started on his loyalty *swoon* Then there is Emma and man I feel for this girl. Her issues ...more

WOW, what a truly emotional book! You will definitely need tissues with this book, but ever tear you lose is worth it in the end. When she gives birth, she has a difficult delivery and almost dies. This changes her views on being a mother to Aspen. Tyler and Emma’s story is another tearjerker by Leigh Lennon. After nearly dying while in childbirth Emma developed a sever case of Postpartum Psychosis. She wouldn’t bond with her daughter and withdrew from everyone and tried to kill herself.

Tyler is a vet and he never gave up on Emma. With the help of his partner who is also Emma’s dad he took care of Aspen and tried to be there for Emma. When Emma went to an unconventional treatment facility to try to get help, Tyler agreed to let her try the

This has been, by far, my favorite in this series. I have a passion for mental health issues, and some may argue that this has nothing to do with mental health, but the issues that Emma faces are very real. Woman suffer from postpartum depression and it is an issue that many lack knowledge in. This story does an amazing job of not only educating the reader, but also creating a story that is relatable. This is the first book I've read by this author, and it won't be my last. This story had me choked up a few times, feeling the fierceness of Tyler's love for his wife and her well being. As a mom who struggled with post partum depression with my first child this story touched close to home and pulled at my heart.
