Valleyspeak is a unique, unflinching collection of poems set within the geography of the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. Much of this collection investigates the oftentimes-horrible particulars of youth and childhood for women, as well the relationships between daughters and mothers/ daughters and the possibilities of mothering.
