This was a terrible, terrible book I am sad to say. The writing was awful, neither character was even remotely believable, and the internal monologues were repetitive. I couldn't wait for it to end because it was just such a silly straightforward story. The entire premise for the character's conflict is completely ridiculous and the author spent far too much time trying to justify it and repeat it over and over to the reader.

I can't quite express how bad this book was. Very disappointed but

This book was absolutely terrible. Just because Ella is a virgin doesn’t mean she has to be an immature brat! I didn’t feel the chemistry between her and Radar at all. And big brother Lance is a total jerk! I planned to read the whole series, but honestly, I’m not going to waste my time!

Second of this author's hockey books that I've read and although these hockey romances don't get too far from the formula of boy/girl/girl's brother going to kill boy, this still read pleasantly.

Give this a read for an enjoyable read if you admire honesty and honey Badgers.

Forbidden Puck June Winters June Winters scores with FORBIDDEN PUCK. Ella Couture heads to Boston for the weekend to visit her NHL star brother, Lance. She ends up spending more time with his line/roommate, Ryan Ryder. The two know that they need to stay away from each other, but…This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

This is the first book that I read by June Winters. I enjoyed her writing style and quickly added some of her other books to my “want to read” list. She

I read an ARC copy of this.

I love hockey and contemporary romances. So this was something I was happy to give a try. I'm glad I did too. I really enjoyed this. The only thing I didn't like about this book was Ella's brother. He was a complete jerk. The way he treated people made me mad. Thankfully he got his act together in the end. Everybody was happy in the end and so was I.

Felt rushed

This book had a great concept and the characters were likeable enough, but the story felt rushed. I thought that falling in love over a 3 day weekend and risking careers for this alleged Love was a little too far fetched and I was left a little disappointed.

I skimmed a portion of this and read some of it, but I read enough for it to count and for me to know that it was not great. I didn't love a lot of it. And it all moved really, really fast. It was a quick book though.

I was in a sports reading frenzy when I started reading this book. And I was enjoying it. One of the things I do when enjoying a book is check out other books by the same author. When I noticed she had another in the series I read the outline and it sounded familiar so I went back and sure enough I’d read it and gave it a positive review.

This is such a cute likeable books. Ella Couture is tricked by her twin brother, famous hockey player for the Boston Brawlers, to visit and help decorate the

Hocky, bestfriends and sisters, great combination for brawl. The details are so on point that make you feel like you are watching a movie. Aclaration note the main female character is not a puck bunny.

Ella aka Honey badger is a 22 year old interior designer making a name for herself in NY and also a virgin. Not for long... she is going on vacation with her boyfriend and she is going to surprise him there. That's till he drop his mask and told her he didn't like her at all and that he was with

Ella is an interior designer and has her own company. When her now boyfriend plans a trip to go away while she's packing he's constantly on his phone. When she questions it, he says it's work because he's a lawyer. When she comes to find out he's talking to woman to sleep with because she is still a virgin, she throws him out. I've said it before: I'm a sucker for a best friend's sibling story, and this was a beautifully executed example of a good one. I've read the two previous books and got a kick out of seeing their heroes mentioned from the other side of the ice. I got such enjoyment out of watching Ryan and Ella try to fight their attraction and I thought it was a marvel to see him step up and be the better man because he believed she shouldn't settle for less. The banter between the siblings was silly and fun, ...more

Ok, this book was hard for me to decided if I liked it or not also if I would give it two stars or three, in the end, it was enjoyable so I choose three stars. Ella was sweet and she really worked hard her brother Lance was a jerk to be honest and a baby. Radar was an interesting person he really fell for Ella and was willing to give it all up for her and even the panty collection did not make me not like him. this was a quick read and I liked the way they handled Ella's virginity in this book, ...more

I Loved this Story!

What is better than a romance between a big hulking hockey player and his Bff’s little sister, well add in that he is a one and done womanizer with a secret collection, and she’s still carrying her v-card, and he’s promised not to kiss her, let alone touch her! Well this fabulous read by June Winters will not disappoint as Ryan “Radar” Ryder and Ella Couture meet and strike up a friendship when she comes to Boston to decorate the bachelor pad that Radar and her brother Shane

Ok, I adore hockey and love hockey romance stories. Forbidden Puck is a perfect example of what a hockey romance should be. First, the romance itself. Superbly done. A classic rogue turned to lover tale but with no cheap shots. Instead this story has a raw honesty to it (and I love the honesty between the leads too). I also love the amazing chemistry that Ella and Ryder have, no matter how they try to ignore and resist it. This is just all beautifully done. Then there’s the hockey part, also ...more

Swoon City "Radar Seeks His Prize"

Dear Readers

Witty ,Spicy, Animal Attraction at its finest . When both individuals try to tell the other how much they are not their types . You know fireworks are soon going to explode.
These two needed each other . They were both missing a piece to feel whole . One using the ladies to fill a void & the other Not seeking out others for comfort .

Yin/ Yang at its best . Love Love this book . I don’t normally read many sports romance books . So it’s nice

Ryan and Ella's story is absolutely adorable. They both fight the chemistry between them until they can't fight anymore, but then she gives him news he never expected and it halts everything. When he finally breaks and tells her brother, his best friend and teammate, about his feelings for her, things hit the roof, but they finally get things worked out. They're so sweet together, the most unlikely pair at that. I really enjoyed this book and I em glad I can voluntarily review this advanced ...more

This book was given to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a first for me with this author. I could not put this book down. I loved how sassy Ella was. She made me laugh but also admire her. Ryan is used to getting whatever girl he wants but he knows he can't have Ella because of the code. I loved how they got to know each other. The only part of this book I didn't like was Ella's brother and how he ditches his sister for a girl but then gets so mad at Ryan. This book was a ...more

Fun, fast paced hockey romance

I loved this book. I liked that the main characters weren't overly perfect and appreciated that the author was able to keep me engaged without falling prey to the "let's separate the couple for a long time and have some huge misunderstanding and angst before they get back together" trope. If you read books like this as much as I do, you know what I'm talking about!

Overall, this book was well written and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hot sports

I have found a new sports romance writer!

To say that I enjoyed this book is an understatement! Lord have mercy did love this book. Ryan and Ella were so stinking cute together! I am currently on a virgin kick and this was the perfect book in that aspect. Then was the fact that Ryan was Ella's brother's best friend, and the ultimate bonus you ask... Insta-love! Utter perfection in my book lovin world.

As you can see by the synopsis, this is the start of a new series, and I for one will be one

This was a good read. This is a first for me from this author, but it won't be my last. The writing flowed well, and I thought that Ryan and Ella were good together. This is an insta love story, but I didn't mind that :) I thought that Lance was a jerk, only thinking of himself. He ditched Ella every time his girlfriend called, and then got mad that Ella and Ryan had spent time together. I was glad that everything works out in the end, and Ryan and Ella get their HEA. The only thing I would have ...more

I love hockey romances... The players are brash, hot and alpha, but melt for the right woman. I can't wait for the next Boston Brawler story.

Ella's character was great - and perfectly matched her Honey Badger nickname. I loved the way she butted heads with her brother and went after Ryan, his best friend, teammate and roommate, despite the possible consequences. Ryan went from collecting panties from puck bunnies to being the perfect guy for Ella. His character developed so much through the

LOVED it!!!

I have read Grudge Puck and loved June's writing style but omg this book was so much better. Ryan Radar is so hot and yet so sweet. Ella Honey Badger omg I LOVED her. The way she put her brother Lucas in his place LOVED it. The "code" just couldn't hold up when Ryan and Ella ended up home alone. Oh and the whole panty collection I really thought was great how Ella handled that, especially at the airport lol can't wait for June's next book!!!!!

I really enjoyed this story. The story was told in a dual POV 1st person, with some points in the story reading like the character was talking to a friend. This story had a likable H&h and the conflict is well done. The romance did proceed a little quickly, but the story acknowledges and addresses this. Overall, a very good story with some humour, that I anticipate that I would read again. *I received an ARC from Hidden Gems and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I was given this ARC as an honest read for an honest review. Ryan and Lance are roommates and play pro hockey. Ryan is a hook up type ladies man. Ella is Lances little sister. When Ella meets Ryan there is chemistry between them, but an unwritten code means Ryan can't have Ella. Ella likes Ryan even though she usually hates Lances friends. But on the dime things change and sparks and punches fly. Read now to find out how it ends.
