Luke Sumner has spent his whole life being coddled, after nearly dying as an infant. At twenty-one, he is more than ready to break free from his restricted world. He hasn't told anyone he's gay, and he's only just admitted his kinkier needs to himself, but he hopes to work up the courage to say something to the older man who has captured his attention.

SO I don't usually jump right in and start with the 3rd book in a series when I haven't read the first two, but when I read the blurb it just screamed "read me now!"

This hit a lot of buttons for me - age gap, virgin, kink, and overall I really, really enjoyed it. The connection between Luke and Jack was hot! And I love that Luke was so new to it all, he wasn't a perfect sub at the start, and they even had a scene that didn't go perfectly but they were able to talk it out and move forward to

The connection between the characters in this third Ames Bridge novel, Tied to Home, is what makes Silvia Violet one of my favorite authors. This story is all heat, passion, and kink, building on the sweet, more traditional romances of the first two books. While the couples do cross over between the novels, each of the three stories has a different flavor and strengthens a central theme, I’d say they could all be read as standalones.

Silvia Violet always does an amazing job creating interesting

A Joyfully Jay review.

I’m a fan of this author, and I’ve been reading this series since the beginning. I love the small town Violet has created here and find it endearing. On top of that, I think there’s a realistic portrayal of characters. Some are accepting, some are not, and there’s a busybody mentality to the town as a whole. Some of the secondary characters play a role in each of the books and help to flesh out the story without taking it over the top.

I was particularly looking

This is my favourite of the Ames Bridge series.
Lisa The Novel Approach
Tied to Home is book three in the Ames Bridge Series. We started with Down on the Farm, and then moved to The Past Comes Home, and now we’ve reached Luke and Jack’s story. I was looking forward to this one. I particularly liked these characters, and I am a fan of the May/December trope. Seventeen years is quite a gap, but Violet navigates it well and, in the end, age doesn’t matter and that’s very clear here. Some of the supporting characters need to get the memo, but that just makes it a ...more

Luke Sumner and Jack Lawrence may not be close in age, but the attraction sparked each time they see one another at the weekly farm market leaves each of them a bit breathless. When Jack finally musters up enough courage to take a chance at inviting Luke to dinner, they are untimely interrupted and the moment is lost. Fortunately, Luke harnesses sufficient courage to visit the Edge, a BDSM/gay club, to further explore some of his unspoken kinks and desires. He’s finally beyond the point of ...more

Tied to Home is another great read in the Ames Bridge series, and this time we get some extra kink to keep things fresh and extra naughty. The favorite small town characters from the first two books are there (gotta love Irene, Elsie, and especially Trish), and we get Cal and Beck from book one popping up a bit. I enjoyed this one just as much as the others in the series, and the majority of that was due to Luke.

Luke is sweet and adorable with how he is so nervous in front of Jack. The way most

Luke Sumner nearly died when he was an infant and because of it he was coddled his whole life so now he's ready to to branch out on his own. Luke has kept quiet about being gay and even though he's ready to admit to himself that he has a bit of a kinky side its just another part of himself that no one else knows. However, he'd like to get to know the older man he has a crush on. When Jack Lawerence returns home and spends his time making the local B&B a success so he hasn't given

Tied to Home is the third book in the Ames Bridge series, and we have Jack and Luke's story. Jack is the 'older man', who runs a successful B and B in town. Luke is the younger man, who has been over protected for all his life, following a complication with his heart at birth. These two get together when they meet by accident in a club. Jack thinks he can help Luke learn the ropes (pardon the pun) without getting too involved, but Luke has other ideas.

This is a wonderful story and an excellent

This is probably my favorite of the series so far! I think this book could probably be read as a standalone but if you're like me, you'll want the history and appearances of the characters from the previous books.

I really like Luke and Jack together. They have amazing sexual and emotional chemistry. Jack is a great guy and I really like him for Luke even with the age difference. He treats Luke as an equal, a grown man unlike everyone else in town. I like Luke’s feistiness and his passion. He is

This is my first Ames Bridge story and I have to say the storyline and the characters took me by surprise. Luke, being babied all his life because of a medical condition, wants to experience life and sex. He has a crush on an older man who runs the local inn but feels that he has no chance until he gets up the nerve to go to an exclusive club and runs into Jack.

Although BDSM isn't really something that I read, I found that the relationship between Jack and Luke was respectful and sweet. Don't

This is the 3rd book in this series, but only the 2nd that I’ve read. I enjoyed Luke and Jack’s story and thought the age-gap just made it that much more special. I thought the pace was set well and the story progressed at a speed I think is plausible as well as enjoyable.

Luke’s innocence and Jack’s experience just made the story exciting to read. I really could picture myself watching it all happen there in Ames Bridge. The diner with the gossipy old ladies, the secret spot by

This series kinda was liking reading the same book three times. I feel like age gap and one character being bisexual was just an effort of do something different, but the progression of the relationship was essentially the same. I also felt that while the other two books had mild D/s undertones, this book just focused completely on that, which left little space for any other interaction between Jack & Luke.

Out of the series this one was my favorite. I loved the realistic way the author portrayed Luke’s struggles to be taken as a healthy adult and one capable of making decisions and being on his own. Jacks support of Luke and his encouragement of Luke’s growth was a great representation of their relationship. Loved everything about this

The third visit to Ames Bridge and my favorite so far. A May-December romance with with a bit of D/s and spankings - very nice.
And I am so glad I chose the audio version. No one does the word 'boy' like Greg Boudreaux ;)

This is the 3rd book in Ames Bridge Series. this story was very well written with age difference & trying new experiences. The Patience Jack has with Luke just brings the story together. You get to see how they bloom and all that is around to help. This is a must read book

I really enjoyed this book. I think it is definitely the best in the series so far.

I didn't take to Cal McMurty, which is why it's my least favourite of the 3, though I like Beck.

Sweet, sexy, funny story and I liked it very much because everything worked out. Luke and Jack are so good together in spite of gap age and different life experience. Add the kink and it was perfect.
