Offers a lot of technical details about advertising operations, but I think I went into this hoping for a big survey of the industry from the personalities at the top to how it affects the lady at the grocery store. I learned a lot of answers to questions I've felt too dumb to ask at work for almost a year, but I might have liked fewer facts and figures and something a little more immersive. A very fine overview of the advertising business circa early 1960's....I read it as a senior in college in 1961 at a time when I was trying to select a career. It was the decision maker. I wanted to be an Account Executive at a major Advertising Agency. So after I graduated I went on to get an MBA and moved to New York at age 22.
