Don’t think of this book as a Science Fiction story or you will be disappointed. I went into it not even reading the summary. This is a mixture of character study, and locked room mystery, all set in a slightly sci-fi world. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it. It could have been longer, more depth, and background, and even with a better ending but I found it entertaining. And there were dogs in it so that was good.

I loved this book. The characters were great, the story unfolded at the perfect pace, especially toward the end when it becomes a real page turner. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
