What was interesting is the highlight on the main events that shaped the country the way it is now. It was great to know the reasons behind it from someone who witnessed the change from inside due to his job.
I also enjoyed the folklore tales by the end of the book. Gave me a clear view at the country I know little of, the home land.
And I've got to know one of my father's friends and how growing up was like in their time and the challenges they faced.
It was like a consolation for my being as an outsider, in a way.
A good read I would say, yup
