I was very surprised that I liked this book as much as I did! I'm sure part of the reason is that it's written like a reality show and I love reality shows! The characters are mature adults and the story is told from multiple points of view, which I loved reading.

I'm not one to get star-struck but if you are I am pretty sure you'll like this book. Even though I'm not easily star-struck it was still fun reading all the various characters in their roles of actors, producers, lawyers, and more. Th

An excuse to live in Keatyn's crazy world a little bit longer…

I can best describe the Keatyn Chronicles as a masterfully addictive conundrum. A guilty pleasure. An incessant drama that got under my skin imprinting me with frustration, exasperation, and expectation. I found myself enjoying a world of adolescent, over-the-top drama with ubiquitous emotions. I loved every second of it. I was so excited to read Captive Films: Season One, giving me an excuse to live in Keatyn's crazy world a little b

Well, damn you, Jillian Dodd. Now you've gone and sucked me into another one of your worlds and there's no way back. Knew this would happen! I freaking LOVED this book. I loved all the different pov's, loved catching up with my fav characters from The Keatyn Chronicles now that they are older and (supposedly) wiser. Riley disappointed me a lot but he is still so heartbroken so I cut him some slack. That ending was brilliantly awful and there's no way I can't continue. I need Riely and Ariela to ...more

I have been trying to save these so I could read them all in one go but I kept seeing little comments and my curiosity won out. It was great to catch up with the Keatyn Chronicles crew. Older and wiser in most cases seeing the older versions of the teenagers we grew to know and love was a joy to read and glad to see that they can still have their shenanigans. For fans of the Keatyn Chronicles these are a must read (full review to come)
I love almost every Jillian Dodd book. But this one really tired me out. Here are my issues with it:

1. It felt like a fanfiction. There was almost no character DEVELOPMENT. I couldn't for the life of me remember why people like Vanessa and Knox were relevant. And Jennifer Edwards is basically Jennifer Lawrence. Half the time, we were catching up on their lives through long dialogues and monologues, like a very explicit "Where are they now?" piece. Everything was told instead of shown.

Addictive, Captivating, Entertaining. That is the best way to describe this season. As a fan of serial series’, I really loved this. I read the entire season in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. This story totally reads like a soap opera. You are completely sucked in and can’t get enough of the drama these characters are going through. Captive Films Season 1 has it all: Sex, Drama, Misunderstandings. It was so entertaining! I can’t wait to read more.

I am hooked!!

It reads like reality tv show about super rich, super hot people with not-really-problems problems. Sometimes it's fun to get lost in one of these.

Fame - Hollywood Love Series, kicks off with Riley. Always loved Riley in the Keatyn Chronicles when they were in high school. I enjoy he and Keatyns dynamic.

In Fame he is all grown up and living life to the fullest. Women, wine and something. LOL

Keatyn and Aiden are still adorable even with the pressures of adult life. Keatyn has matured so much over the span of the series. She is not always on board with Riley's life decisions but backs him up because of their long standing friendship.

This book started off a little slow for me, because there was more reminiscing and the hashing out of the characters relationships with one another than I'd like. Honestly if you have not read The Keatyn Chronicles then start there! I know what's going on in my favorite soap opera so lets get to the good stuff, ya know? The plot picked up and ended on a cliff hanger... seriously, there better be a second book! It was a little rocky at times, sometimes the conversation didn't flow very or read ve ...more

I forgot how much I loved Keatyn and Crew. This was like going home after college and finding out how your HS friends grew into really great adults. I always adored Riley and let's say he's off the rails. There is some shocking stuff about other characters and I'm so glad the author bundled all the novellas into one read because I don't do short serial reads. I'm looking forward to Season 2 when it's complete. ...more

If you loved the KC, you'll love this serial!

It was so fun getting to catch up with the characters from The Keatyn Chronicles. Some of the characters are how I expected and others have had some really rough times. There's plenty of steam in this serial and lots of laughs, too. Can't wait to read season 2!

Well that was surprisingly awesome. Now I just don't know if I want to wait until Season two or pick up Volume 2.1

Love that that they are out high school and 10yrs older. Great drama.

Note: These are ALL cliffhangers. Gah!

And I don't think there's a way for me to remember at this point what happened in book 1 vs 2 vs 3, etc, so this will be a general review. Let me start off by saying that I didn't read The Keatyn Chronicles. There are *lots* of characters, and there's obviously some history there, but I didn't actually know what they were talking about had happened in another series. It's not too bad; the author does a decent job of bringing the reader up to date, but it's a

Ruined Riley... the ending is cliche and irritating. The fact that none of these characters made friends outside of high-school and all of Keatyn's east cost friends moved to California isn't realistic or interesting. They all still act like teens. Expand the world. Not going to continue. The whole premise is built on nostalgia because there really isn't any central conflict except making sure every last character she creates gets paired up.

I also don't like the lack of diversity. This is a whi

So happy to see more of Keatyn, Riley, Aiden, Dawson, and the others. This story is set 10 years in the future after the Keatyn Chronicles were wrote. We get to see them has grown ups and how things are going for them. Couldn’t put the book down read it in one night. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I enjoy the chronicles so much, Jillian never fails to keep Me intrigued with all the twist and turns. Its amazing for a reader to find a book she can't put down and gives great depictions that you can visualize the story and characters for yourself.Keatyn truly is a inspiration and is living the worst and best dream life making the most of her circumstances no matter what. ...more

I have to say, it's much harder for me to get through the books that are post-high school. Without putting in too many spoilers, there's not enough Keatyn and Aiden-who we fell in love with in the first place-and too much of Vanessa, Dawson, etc. I'll still read them for the Keatyn and Aiden POVs, and the glamour, of course, but eh... ...more

returned to this series again after so long! i really like the multiple pov's as we get into the other characters lives here versus the main focus of the first 7 books in Keatyn's POV. i feel like each of the characters in The Keatyn Chronicles has the makings of a great storyline and i'm happy that these sequels give them that. i also like how it takes us to the events after the stalking and high school of Keatyn and her friends, where we get to see where they are at now in life. a lot of the s ...more

Good followup!

I was almost afraid of how these aged teenagers were gonna handle adulthood - especially with the fame attached. They are certainly rocking' it to the tune of jealousy, temper tantrums and broken hands! Can't wait to read the next installment.

Just not that good. The characters were not well defined and it was childish.
