This book will not be for everyone but it was definitely for me. It managed to take my mind off of the current hellish timeline we’re caught up in and thrust me into someone else's for a few hours.

But, yeah, this book is not for everyone. It is extreme horror and by extreme I mean extremely gross and violent. Prepare thyself.

“I want to fuck you with a frozen dog turd.”
(note to myself: remove this most excellent line before the cross-post to those prudes at Amazon!)

It’s funny too, so

I really wanted to like this book. It was well written, and started off with a promising story of a sociopathic teen. However, too many elements of repellent behavior took this story into too many directions for me. Don't get me wrong - I like a good dose of repellent behavior in my reading. This one jumped the shark. By midway, I lost interest in the psychoteen's new levels of malice. I found it difficult to suspend disbelief. I am glad that I read the book all the way through, however, because ...more

This book wasn't for me, it's just too disturbing, heartless and evil.

I just can't enjoy reading about such depravity and how much you can destroy another person just for the hell of it.

The writer is very talented though, can't deny that and he does exactly what he intended to do; leaving the reader shocked.

Not for me but if you're into 'extreme' horror, you'll probably like this.

Now excuse me while I scrub myself with bleach and turn vegetarian.

This book is all sorts of fucked up. Kristopher Triana is no stranger to the depraved and sadistic as any reader of his previous books will confirm. Full Brutal sees cheerleader Kim blossom into a necrophilia-craving, murdering monster. Things start off with her befriending then systematically destroying her fellow schoolies in the most despicable ways possible. Facebook shaming isn't enough and soon things take on an even darker more sinister tone. Kim's acts of cruelty are infinite as she cont ...more

Sweet Sixteen? Not for Kim White.

Kim is not your average teen-aged girl. Her life can been summed up in two words: Numb indifference.

"The world seemed just as stale and empty as always, and the misery of the sunshine as it poured through the blinds of [her] bedroom window made [her] groan with discontent."

Tired of her bleak, miserable existence, Kim decides she needs something new and exciting to add meaning to her life. She thinks it's time for her to lose her virgin

I really enjoyed this book, so much so, that I wanted to leave a brief review. Two lines stood out for me, at the beginning: "I was just so tired of being alive," and at the end: "The world is an amazing place if you can tolerate it." I think that kind of summed up the main character's transformation from start to finish. I liked the way she progressed throughout the book by embracing her inner psychopath. With each of her increasingly crazy acts, she gained confidence in her deviant behavior an ...more

3.7. The first half was super entertaining. Reach for the popcorn and watch her destroy people slowly. Then the cannibalism got kind of... annoying? Idk. I put it down for awhile. The end was decent.

My first Kristopher Triana novel will NOT be my last. This is extreme horror done right.

Kim is a beautiful and popular 16-year-old cheerleader with suicidal thoughts and a general pessimism for life in general. She wants something new to change her perspective, to make her feel alive, and she decides that based on what her friends have been telling her, sex is the answer. But sex alone isn't enough for Kim, who likes to set herself apart. Instead, she sets her sights on her sex-ed teacher and fi

Full Brutal is the first book I've read by Kristopher Triana. I've seen his name before so I was interested in checking out some of his work. As a member of The Splatter Club I saw a great oppurtunity when they announced a group read for Full Brutal. The only thing is the read was supposed to last a whole month, and I was so sucked into this book I read it in about a week.
As the description says the book is about Kim White, star cheerleader and all around popular teen. She can have anything she

This book messed me up, in the right ways. Triana truly knows how to write a sociopath, with Kim's abject cruelty hitting like a sledgehammer to the guts. Kim does some truly sick and horrifying things, but the interesting thing is that she really does sound like a teenage girl, dealing with typical teenager things like boredom, confusion, longing, and angst. There is a reason that this book won the splatterpunk award. Triana writes like a fiend. Oddly enough, reading Full Brutal made me want to ...more

4 1/2 stars.
Kim is a teenage, successful, spoilt, cheerleading, sociopathic psychopath who meticulously plans and carries out humiliating and degrading situations and acts with people for sexual gratification.
Everyone around her can be abused and used as a tool to her fantasy she has no limits. She cleverly manipulates victims in to her trap and as the reader you can't help keep going to see what on earth she is going to do next as she homes in on each target chomping on body parts along the way

The first half of this book is a really really twisted teen drama. The second half definitely goes FULL BRUTAL! Really twisted stuff, only for those with a taste for extreme horror.
This is a very worthy nomination for Best Novel in the 2019 Splatterpunk Awards, right now my favourite to take out the prize but I still have one more novel to read. I had to put this down a few times as the level of brutality got pretty intense, Full Brutal indeed. This is what you would get if you crossed Heathers with American Psycho and turned the gore up to 11.

One of the best extreme horror novels I've read in the last few years. Reading about the making of a psychopath and her depravity was like watching a train wreck and not being able to look away. I could not put this book down and I could not wait to see what our main character Kim, would do next. Sick entertainment is the best entertainment and this book was definitely sick. Full Brutal tells the story of Kim White, all-American cheerleader and all-around It girl. She is pretty, she is popular, she is wealthy with a barely-present father – she is truly living the high school dream. At least that is what everyone thinks. In reality, Kim has had enough – she is sick to death of it all. After a conversation with her friend, Amy, she reluctantly decides to lose her virginity. Amy tells her it is a life-changing event, that she will gain a whole new perspective on life… ...more

A vicious unrelenting ride into Hell

Kim White is without a doubt one of the most ruthless and diabolical lunatics to ever grace the written page. Multiple repellent passages await the brave hearted or sick minded. ( ME! )

Take the most visceral parts of American Psycho and add a dash of Mean Girls and you have Full Brutal in a nutshell. This was truly a special book and quite the spectacle once Kim commits to her over the top human butchery, no one is safe from her bloodlust!

Full Brutal Beauty

This book was a blast. I was in it from the first page all the way through. It is full on violent and full of grisly details. Kim White is a savage, ruthless piece of work and she kept me reading. Kristopher Triana can write a lean mean book full of gristle and grit, sex and violence. If you like your books ultraviolet and full of mean girls then have at it you won’t be disappointed.

There are many things a girl my age can achieve to become powerful. There is the power of being beautiful, so you can be lusted after and fawned over by boys, thereby becoming the envy of all other girls. There is the power of intellect, so you can manipulate and conquer others. There is the power of your sexuality, your popularity, your wealth and privilege. But there is no power as thrilling as being able to completely decimate another human being, to demoralize and deconstruct their very sou ...more

I listened to the audio book on my way to and from work. I was almost late a few times because I didn't want to stop listening! The story is of a young woman who takes what she wants, when she wants it. As her manipulation of people continues, her behavior escalates bringing out her deepest, darkest demons to the forefront. Triana takes us into the mind of a sadistic psychopath that has no limits or regard for herself or others. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does! What a tumultu ...more

Damn, the title has nothing on what is in this book. The tension mounted beautifully from the first page until the last. Kim's evolution into a beast was well done and seemed natural. She was a very Patrick Bateman-esque character and the first person narrative was excellent. If you're not easily grossed out and like a good story, this is for you. ...more

Kim White has it all. She is beautiful, popular, a cheerleader, and a perfect student. Something is stirring inside of her that finds herself unfulfilled. Kim's desire for murder, sodomy, and torture becomes a shocking reality as she goes "Full Brutal."
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. Oh boy, how it did! This story takes you deep into the mind of a Sociopath who seems so perfect on the outside, but is so twisted and evil on the inside. Triana really brings this character t

FULL BRUTAL follows sociopathic teen, Kim White, through her ever escalating journey of debauchery that you can't help but becoming immersed in. Triana took the time to build a very strong world in this novel before systematically wrenching it apart--one slow and painful piece at a time. The finale is both shocking and poetic and will have you questioning, not only your own mortality, but how fragile we truly are.

If you enjoy Extreme Horror, put this on your essential reading shelf.

This is 143rd book I've read this year and is in contention to be my favorite. After reading a handful of 3-star okay books this weekend old my love for extreme horror.

The story centers around and phenomenally crafted psychopath that is simultaneously appalling and enthralling.

Triana is poised to take the reins as the new generation figurehead in extreme horror.
