Elena is too young for me, not to mention she's my boss's daughter and my babysitter.

That's beyond complicated. And I'm not even looking for a relationship — but I can't deny the attraction that sizzles between us.

I need to ignore it. A single dad, all I want is to take care of my little girl, do my job, and enjoy my friends. Anything more is asking for complications I can

Now this is the way to wrap up a terrific series! With a splendid tale involving the head of security of The Fix who is a single dad who refuses to get close to any woman for fear she will disappear the same as his wife did and abandon him and his daughter and he is paired with the daughter of the owner of The Fix who is a graduate student and younger by nearly a decade. This poses many issues but the chemistry is undeniable even though they both try to ignore it but once those lines are crossed ...more

In our final story of the series we get sexy, single dad Brent and the boss's daughter, Elena. Two of my favorite tropes...the single dad and the older man/younger woman. It's another shorty but goody!

12 books and a novella later and I can't believe it's over. I've enjoyed this series and getting to know all the couples that are all tied back to The Fix on Sixth bar. It's been such a mix of personalities and different tropes that the author provided something for everyone. And there is an actual

I think that I enjoyed this Man Of The Month the most. To be fair the cover of Walk The Line had my pulse into overdrive before I even started reading.

Brent, ex-cop and head of security at The Fix on 6th is a single father to the charming and cheeky Faith. Elena is the adult (but younger) daughter of his friend and boss.

Elena and Brent try to fight the intense attraction that they feel for each other. A feat made decidedly harder when Elena starts to babysit for Faith while Brent is at work. As

What a perfect ending to an amazing series that just kept building until my heart was full. So many interesting characters, each adding a different flavor to the pot, and blended they make an irresistible recipe for love. Featuring both tasty food, unique cocktails, and a sexy man for every month of the year the local bar, the Fix on 6th is worth checking out. While each story can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend that you start from

Walk the Line by J. Kenner was a sexy romance that had all feels to keep any reader entertained. If you are a fan of the single dad romance/ boss’s daughter kind of romance then you are in for a special treat with this last installment. Kenner will make you swoon and smile big as she grabs our hearts with this sweet short fun story.

This book was hard to rate as it was the final book in this 12 book (novella) series and everything had to be brought to a conclusion.

Let me first rate the book - overall it was just ok for me. I loved the plot - older man/younger woman - she's not only his daughter's babysitter but also his boss' daughter - so immediately Elena is pretty much off limits to Brent. Plus he has been burnt in the past, so he really isn't up for any relationships.

While I felt this one was slightly rushed

Walk the Line is the twelfth, and final, book in J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series, and I’m so sad to say goodbye. The last few months have been spent with me diving into each new release, desperate for more of the stories, and now that the series is over I’m not quite sure what I plan to do with my life. Sure, there are other books I wish to read – however, I have no other series like this one where I’m giving something different every two weeks. If someone has any recommendations of where I ...more

I can't believe that we are at the end of the Man of the Month series. Honestly, I want more of the The Fix on Sixth. I want to see more happily ever afters, more characters and more of J. Kenner. She amazed me with the way all of the stories flowed together. I was wondering, right from the beginning, if she was going to be able to keep all of them separate, yet together … if she was going to run out of ideas … going to repeat plot lines. She did none of this. What she gave us was a new book eve

Walk the Line finished off J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series with passionate romance, a thread of mystery solved, and well-deserved HEAs all around for this stellar cast–all of whom have become friends over the dozen installments I’ve read.

J. Kenner pulled out all the stops with her final book in the sexy as hell Man of the Month series. There were actually three tropes all rolled into one here: a May-December romance, a single

WALK THE LINE by J. Kenner is Book 12 in the Man of The Month series. This is the story of Brent and Elena. I have read the other books but feel this can be a standalone book, if you choose to do so. This is the lastbook in this series so loosen are taking care of with this book. Brent doesn’t really do relationship much less one with his friend/boss’s daughter. In addition she I’d much younger than him and his babysitter for his little girl. But the sparks are flying between the two and it’s be ...more

I'm not really that much of a fan of older man romances, but for the most part, this one worked for me. Like most of the others in this series that I have read so far, it was another quick and easy read. I honestly liked how this one seemed so much more realistic in the amount of time it took for them to actually get together, or should I say in the amount of time for them to kind of feel like a couple, and act like it. Even though they were still trying to keep it secret, from Elena's dad of c ...more

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

The last in the series - that has been an absolute pleasure to read and review. From the very first story which set the background to the journey we have taken together, to this lovely conclusion I have enjoyed it all.

I have been waiting for Brent to get his HEA since book 1 to be honest, once Reece and Jenna paired up, he was the one who had missed out. Most definitely a man who deserves his chance at love, he is still

Readers who have been with the series since its introduction should be more than familiar with the hero of Walk the Line. Brent’s been in the background of the series as the bar’s head of security, watching his friends find their happily ever after but never wanting to risk his own heart because he’s still not over what his ex did to him and their daughter.

Until her.

But besides Brent’s fears and insecurities when it comes to the opposite sex and his need to protect his daughter at all costs is

This is the twelfth and final book in the series and is Brent and Elena’s story; what a way to finish the series. This is bitter sweet as I have become invested in this group of friends and I am sad to see their stories come to a close.
Brent is a single dad to oh so cute Faith and is also the security expert at The Fix. He is good friends with Tyree who happens to be Elena’s father and he has no intention of jeopardising his friendsh

I can’t believe we’re at the final book in this fantastic Man of the Month series! And whoa, what a way to go out with Brent and Elena’s story.

Phew, they’re addictive and I couldn’t put Walk the Line down until I reached the last word. I loved the slow burn of their romance. That Brent considered his daughter and her needs above any kind of relationship. But Elena slipped under his skin and there was no way he could resist.

Elena and Brent are fantastic together. They’re smart, sexy, and real. I

Cannot believe the ride is over! The final book in the series, Walk the Line, gives us Brent and Elena's story and I loved it! Brent who wants nothing to do with relationships, must less one with a woman ten years younger and his boss' daughter. But can they stay away from each other?

Loved it! A great ending to the series!

Happy reading!

Five delicious stars! Mr. December is on fire! He will burn you...

What a way to finish such an all-consuming series! J. Kenner wrapped everything in a wonderful and brilliant way. Walk the Line is the cherry at the top of the most tempting and delicious series. It is the perfect end to the Man of the Month Series. I really enjoyed and loved each book in the series. All the male characters part of this series ruined me in the best way possible. As I sadly say "Goodbye" to our friends at The Fix, it is with a heavy heart and a feeling of complete satisfaction and love.

J. Kenner really knows how to pull you into her series with amazing characters and stories that most if not all of us can relate to. The Fix is a place we can all relate to. The days when we hung out with friends in our favorite bar and the new friends we met along the way. With the final copy releasing, Brent and Elena are closing out the series with a what rounds out to

Man Of The Month 12
J. Kenner

Who’s your man Of The Month, I just can’t decide, but I can say I’m devastated this series is finished. It has been an amazing one to read that I’ll forever be thankful to Ms Kenner for. Each man stole a piece of my heart along with The Fix on Sixth, a bar in trouble to a top spot week nights or weekends. I’ve waited 12 long novels for Brent’s turn and finally it is here, and was as awesome as I’d hoped.

Brent is head of security at The Fix, he has a

Well it's been a whirlwind of a series and this is the final book in the Man of The Month series. Each book has focused on a specific couple and centers around a local bar in Austin call The Fifth on Sixth.
These books are quick reads so while there's the romances may seem a bit insta love some of them have been brewing for some time.

In this particular one we've got Brent and Elena. Brent we met back in Book 1 and it's sort of fitting that even though he was one of the first characters we met h

Walk the Line is the end of the Man of the Month series and it doesn't disappoint! Brent doesn’t trust easily after his ex walked out on him and their adorable daughter, Faith. When he's not a devoted father, he manages the security at the Fix on Sixth, the local Austin bar where he is also a part owner with his best friends Tyree, Reece, and Jenna. He's protective, curious, persistent, and sexy. Elena is Tyree's daughter and about a decade younger than Brent. She's smart, feisty, determined, an ...more

Another series of mine ends today and since I had a rocky journey with it I am not so sad. I truly hate seeing Reece and the preview of his book and his appearance ruined the warm feels I had for the book.

Brent and Elena had a good story and I liked their journey. Faith is in the picture without stealing the spotlight while getting some of it. Most of the book is to my liking and I loved the most the declaration of Brent's love. I was happy to see that the author didn't decide to extend the dram

This is the last of the Man of the Month series, and the story I have been waiting for the most, Brent's. Brent is a single father, that has done everything to put his daughter first and foremost. From quitting his job and taking a more .. predictable one with The Fix, not having any type of relationship that Faith would see, and just devoting all his free time to her. When Elena becomes his babysitter, he tells himself she is too young, she is the babysitter, she i

I can not believe this series is OVER! Everyone got their happy ending and a pretty sweet Epilogue thrown in for a proper farewell to the Austin’s The Fix gang.

In Walk The Line we get taboo-ish love story of Brent Sinclair, head security at the bar, and Elena, daughter of the original owner of the bar and best friend of Brent. Brent is a dad, friend of Elena’s dad and 10 year older. However, even with all those minor obstacles they sooooo fit together.

Elena and Brent’s story ties up the Man of the Month series. With the rest of the crew behind the contest and revival of the The Fix on Sixth having found their soulmates, these two were the last to get their HEA.

With Brent being best friends with Elena’s father and the age gap between he and Elena he’s hesitant to give in to his attraction to Elena, but when she takes on babysitting duties for his daughter their close proximity makes them giving I’m an inevitability.

The final installment in the Man of the Month series was a delightful, sweet and satisfying story, with many of the series’ characters. This light, drama free novella about second chances in life, about finding happiness again was an enjoyable read.

Elena is a smart, sweet, determined young woman. I really liked her. She has come to Austin with the dream of getting to know her father and she has rejoined his team at the Fix on Sixth. Brent is a single father. Despite being attracted to Elena, he

I can't believe the Man of the Month contest is over!! I loved meeting each of these couples and reading about their lives and relationships as they fight to help The Fix on Sixth stay open.

I love Elena - and not just because of my The Vampire Diaries obsession of late - side note, watch that show! I've started last week and already on Season 4. Don't Judge. Back to the story, Elena is the one who brought Eva and Tyree back together all because she wanted to meet her dad that she assumed was de

I really liked this story. It wasn't my favorite of the series but I do love the single dad genre. Then throw in the whole boss's daughter/younger woman aspect and this book whore was in forbidden heaven.

I can't believe this series is over. Wah!!!! I want more. I loved The Fix Crew and how the background story played out in the entire series.

I look forward to reading more from J. Kenner.
