Sometimes the wrong choices bring us to the right places.

When I meet David Carmichael it's as if the universe offered him as an apology for my life up to this point.

With his protective arm around me, he promises to keep me safe from the demons of my not-so-distant past.

This is a sweet OK story. There is a bit of Christian aspect on the story. Michelle is a single mom at her wit ends. She struggle raising her daughter and in desperate need of financial support. Fate brings her to David. A strong, loving hero at animal shelter. David who is quite taken with her and Claire, pursues the relationship.

Both David and Michelle has emotional baggage from their past. In the story of typical romance, they both find healing and acceptance in each other. I feel the story

Leo (Queen of the Rants and Spoilers)
3.5 stars for the Hero.

I'm sucker for damsel in distress books and I think everyone knows this but only if the heroine becomes strong instead of staying weak and this heroine stayed weak IMO.
I felt like she kinda took advantage of the poor hero, who was very sweet and one who had his own demons to battle but he was awesome with her and her daughter.

The heroine just gotten together with the hero and she had problems with money, I mean if she had problems with money why didn't she looked for a bet

This was nice easy read overall. I'm sucker for damsel in distress books, but I like some growth when it comes to the heroine, and I didn’t feel that occurred with Michelle, even after almost dying she needed David and/or her friends to push her to make decisions about (view spoiler)

Also after leaving her a-hole of a ex, Michelle is finding it hard to survive, she’s finding it hard to take care of her daughter due to financial constraints, and witho

Abby Brooks sends us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions in Inevitably You.

This wonderfully written story grabbed me from the very first sentence. I was reading and turning pages as fast as I could to find out how this heartwrenching story would end.

The story of Michelle and David has everything a good book should have... including humor, suspense, heartbreak, loss, hope, love, sex, and most importantly... the happily ever after.

I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced readers copy of this book.

Inevitably You by Abby Brooks is full of feeling, full of heart breaking emotion and strength and oozes passion and intensity in bucket loads.

Abby sure knows how to take her readers on a journey and show how her characters rise. Their happily ever after is given and while not easy sometimes the way we get there is unforgettable.

The two characters in Inevitably You stole my heart. And in awe at Abby, her skill, her patience and her deliverance.

While reading this book I realized that Michelle could have been a woman like me or like any other woman because sometimes there comes a time in life that bad things happen and we are not always prepared to take them on. So, this woman has tried to do what was best, pleasing others without thinking about her well being and she really messes things up. But from this mess there came along a sweet daughter one of her most precious things and she struggles to give her the best out of life. With grea ...more

Reading this story from the beginning I didn't want to put it down but then life got in the way but when I finally got to the end their was tears and laughter! We all have crazy x's and the main character Michelle has one but than she escapes him and runs into a old friends brother and it might be love at first sight but we all know no one is too perfect, will he might be her happy ending for her and her daughter! This is a one click for sure and I loved reading this book!!! ...more

After reading the author’s brief bio on her website I get the impression that perhaps she wrote a lot of herself into the heroine in this book Michelle. Like Brooks our heroine Michelle is a divorced single mom convinced love doesn’t really exist until she meets David Carmichael the love of her life who like Brooks describes her own husband is both strong enough to lean on but also gentle.
Michelle was a secondary character in the first book in Wounded, the first book in the Brookside series as

Beautiful heartwarming story of overcoming your past and finally finding happiness. Michelle has had nothing but problems in her life. Whether it be lack of money, problem with her ex husband or trying to show her daughter that they can survive, her back is always against the wall. David has also had his share of misfortune and thoughts that he would never find happiness. When the two characters come together sparks fly instantly and even though they have to deal with even more twists and turns, ...more

This book left me with so many conflicting emotions. Michelle is in such a tough position in life, and is working hard to change her situation, to provide something better than just an existence for her young daughter, Claire. She keeps running into the same man, David, over and over again in their small town, and even though she's reluctant to expose anyone (not even her girlfriends) to the drama in her life courtesy of her ex-husband, Michelle eventually accepts that David has been put in her ...more

Abby Brooks took me on a sweet, sad and sometimes angry roller coaster ride with this book.

This was without a doubt one of the most heart wrenching books I have ever read.
So much of it brought memories of the mistakes I have made in my life but pulled myself up by the boot strings and overcame the obstacles in my life to make a brighter future for myself. I am sure lots of women can relate in the same way to this book. I think maybe lots of us have a Russell in our past.

Michelle, the master of jumping life's hurdles and ducking the blows of disappointment, has been doing the best she can with what she has. With her abusive ex-gone, she and her daughter Claire live well below their means- Michelle is a sweet, caring woman, who does for everyone else, but not herself.

Inevitably You...Abby Brooks

This is the second book of Abby's that I have read & although I must say I enjoyed her book Wounded more, this one is still pretty good.
Michelle is a struggling single mother due to the circumstantial fallout of some really questionable decisions. It took quite a drastic event to happen before she decided that enough was enough & left her situation to try & give her daughter a better life.
David has been plagued by the circumstances that played out in his previous mar

You May Say That She's a Dreamer

A dance teacher in a small town meets a local farmer, and they are drawn to each other in spite of the massive baggage they each carry. David is steady, kind, and though riddled with the sort of anxiety that the harsh truths of life can levy, he's "enough-" to meet Michelle where she is, to deal with his, and her demons, and to step into his destiny as a man. Michelle isn't strong, but she isn't weak, either- she's in chrysalis, needing time and space to bake, but

When I first started reading this book, I thought to myself, "great, another damsel in distress (as I have read quite a bit about this lately)." Well Abby had proven me wrong!
Michelle is a single mother of Claire who has been struggling for years to make ends meet after divorcing the devil of a man, Russell. A former ballet performer, Michelle now works at her mothers studio in a small town, sometimes getting a paycheck.
While moseying around town, she keeps running into David Carmichael, a hands

Every month I try to check out at least one new-to-me author and this month I decided to check out Abby Brooks and I am certain that it won't be my last.

Do you believe in fate? Well, this book will most definitely make you wonder and maybe even turn you into a believer. If you're a fan of Nicholas Sparks... Then you'll enjoy reading this author as much as I do. Emotionally engaging, the story deals with realife issues of love, loss, hardships, and reality. It's not easy overcoming and moving beyond being a doormat concerning others. And being domineered over and used in a relationship. It can take years before you get enough backbone to make the move to get out of an unhealthy relationship. But the hero and heroine did just that: they put their past relationshi ...more

Michelle is a ballerina that had to give up dancing due to an injury. She returns home to work with her mother teaching dance classes. The studio doesn't make enough money for both her and her mother. So struggling with finances is her biggest trial. David is a good guy with a heart of gold and a head filled with painful memories. Another great book by Abby Brooks! Inevitable You is a heartwarming, emotionally charged book that will have you crying, laughing and bitterly angry at times. Michelle is a very sweet caring woman. The type that puts her needs and wants behind everyone else. David is the very sexy protective alpha male. Considering I was one of 'those women' that heard the clicking of her husband's gun and knew to get out now, I was not sure about getting past the beginning of this book BUT I believed in Ms Brooks so I continued. AND I am so happy I did. Like me she found a man to hug all the pieces of her brokenness and made her whole again. This was such a good book as they fought the crazy ex and in turn their love turned into so much more. This is a much needed book for every broken women to give them hope. ...more

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

Well geez this book started off with bang and kept going from there. Michelle is a strong single mom who is struggling to make ends meet but refuses to be a burdened to anyone. David is a farmer with a very tragic past who is trying to move on with his life. Now these two have to be the cutest characters I have ever come across and yet they both managed to frustrate me at times. I was not a fan of Russell and they way he treated

I loved this book!!! It was filled with heartbreak and hope!

I was hooked in from the first page. Michelle had her daughter Claire and was happy enough. She didn't realize what she was missing until she met David.

Words can't describe how much I loved David!! Like seriously I can't describe how much I loved not only his gestures, but also his words.

Abby Brooks has such a great writing style that makes the reader feel along with the characters. I love that as a reader that I got to feel the pain,
