DNF 40% and I don't even know how I got that far.

Okay, story time.

I picked this book half by accident, half by stupidity. I was minding my own business, looking for a specific book, when this one got suggested. Somehow I couldn't see the cover design for it, and in my grand simplicity of mind, I read the word 'Avalon', I thought Arthurian legend, and just went for it.

Grave mistake, people.

The first hint I got was when I was finally able to see the cover. Seriously, what were they thinking makin

A 3.5.

I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. It was okay. I liked Avie and her guts just fine but it was just something missing, I can't put my finger on what that is though.

Just interesting enough to keep me moving on to the next book.

Sariah Skye totally blew me away with this book. I have read all of her books and Love them all, but this one totally took me by surprise. She is such a talented author. Invisible is a RH book and not something I would normally read. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next one. The range of emotions Sariah takes you one is out of this world. From confusion, wonder, and hope to edge of your seat, happy, sad..... There are just so many. I highly recommend you read this book. Even if it i ...more

“I wish I could be invisible. Please, let me be invisible!” How many time in your life have you wished for the same thing? I'm guessing it never really works for you, has it? Well, it worked for Ava. She actually can turn invisible. Except, apparently, there's a downside to that (Figures, right?) - Ava gets completely overlooked by everyone. People simply do not notice her, or forget she even exists . Makes dating practically impossible, seeing as how the male population doesn't take notice of h

All I can say is AWESOME! Being a British Lit major probably makes me totally biased about this book, but who cares? What an amazing incorporation of the Arthurian Legend. I love that we are able to jump right into a some at least kissing action and not have to wait until book 5 for a slow, slow burn. There are just so many wonderful things about this book that it is hard to know where to start-witches, Lancelot, Avalon, incubi, and tons of other amazing fantastical creatures. I can't wait until ...more

Funny and crazy!

I did not see that one coming! Avie is funny and has a really smart mouth. The dialogue is full of banter and hot! 4 hot guys supes and an “woman” that is in danger! Of course the guys have to save her! Haha

There was time during the Dark Ages after the fall of Rome when a legend of light and magic arose! You may ask what this has to do with a girl from Minnesota who is most noteworthy for going unnoticed? Well dear reader you will just have to turn the pages and find out for your self! A sassy irreverent Heroine and four smarmy hunks combine to make for a humorous and entertaining read! The story is breath taking, action packed, and intense! Stuffed with hot kisses and steamy looks I am surprised m ...more

Ava Dawson has never stood out. In fact, she's nearly invisible. Guys don't notice her, bosses never give her credit, people forget that she's even around, sometimes she truly seems to disappear. The only people she matters to are her mom and her best friend, Summer. Until she's out at a club with Summer and has a random encounter with a guy that definitely notices her. And he has friends. The encounter is brief and the guys disappear after but this is only the beginning. After witnessing a dist ...more

so bad... want my time back.

dnf @ 67%. i tried you guys, i honestly really really did, but this book was just so bad.

plot was great, the idea was great, and i really wanted to see where the story went but i could NOT get over the FMC! this story had so much potential but the characters just ruined it for me. i probably would’ve stopped a lot sooner if the concept for the story wasn’t so interesting (albeit poorly executed)

i have never disliked an FMC so much. she’s a whiney brat for one, two s

Exciting new series...

LOVED this series... It's a great new reverse haren book that's NOT about weres or vampires.... Ava Dawson lives with her BFF Summer in one side of a duplex, and her wacky Bohemian mother in the other side. To say her life has been different is an understatement.... She's always had some form of anxiety, it since 7the grade it's as if nobody but Summer and her mother can see her. In class teachers overlook her even when looking in her direction, she's passed over for projec

Shenanigans, indeed

This quirky story takes some interesting turns. Witches, warlocks, ancient tales thought to be fables, demons, fae, creepy collectors, and much much more all have a part in this book. The witty banter keeps this from being any old paranormal romance and makes it a very enjoyable read. And an even better beginning to, what promises to be, a really amazing series. There are a few oopsies and grammar errors but nothing so hideous as to wrench you from the story.

Couldn't get enough of this book! I actually listened to the audiobook before reading the book again haha, and I couldn't wait to listen to more in my car or doing my chores around the house. I loved how snarky Avie was, but deep down she had so many bruises from past experiences with her "invisible"-ness. I could relate to her on some level (not the whole snark part, I definitely am not that badass/kickass!). I have felt ignored and like no one can hear me. I have felt what its like to be pushe ...more
So I had been thinking about trying this book for a while, and when it went on sale for $.99 I figured it was a perfect time to try it out.
Ava is a 25 year old with a problem, she is constantly ignored. Not just ignored like people don't pay attention to her sometimes, but people literally don't see her, don't even know she's there sometimes. Only her mom and her best friend Summer seem immune to her invisibility. Because of this, Ava has horrible luck with guys, they seem to either forget about

I loved this book! It knocked the crankiness right out of me lol. I've already started reading the next one but I stopped to write this review before I get them mixed up. This going going to be a short, no spoilers review because I need to get back to the next book.

I love the characters and we get to know each one individually. I love the relationship between Avalon and Summer, real BFFs. All the relationships feel real actually. One of the reasons I fell so deep into the world

This was my first ever RH book and I wasn't sure what to expect. Here I was thinking this would be mostly hot and steamy interactions but it was so much more!

Avalon (aka Ava or Avie as she can be called by friends only) has a power she knows nothing about. She has the worst luck with men. She lives a mundane life. She has settled. Then her life is turned upside down. She is introduced to FOUR (yes 4) amazingly attractive and wildly different men. If only they were one guy since they all have som

You can't go wrong with unusual magical gifts, mystery, and a bit of Arthurian lore, albeit a different take on said lore. This first book in the series does a good job of introducing The Curse of Avalon world and its great characters. While I liked Ava's snark and wit, it did take a while for her to grow on me as a heroine. She was just a bit too weak and self-deprecating for my tastes. I did like our male leads with their interesting back stories and determination to protect Ava at all cost. I ...more

I loved this book

Invisible is the first installment in the curse of Avalon series and if this is just the beginning than count me in for the whole thing! Skye has taken us on a journey of self discovery with Avie. She's completely relatable and so very likable, everything you want in an MC. Strange things happen to Ava, people ignore her, their eyes pass right over her - almost like she's invisible. Her mom and her best friend are the only ones that don't ignore her. She's coasting through life

Hmmm....this book was different from what I expected. It's my first read from this author. I was captured by the synopsis.

It didn't disappoint but it wasn't necessarily my favorite?

What I liked: The story line. It's really good! I love all things magic. I love Arthur and Lancelot. I want to see where this story goes. I also like how the men are from different time periods and different backgrounds. It's refreshing.

What I didn't like: Sometimes the heroine really annoyed me. It was little momen

This was such a fun read! A completely different take on Arthurian Legend with some RH thrown in. I really loved the characters, interactions, and sexiness. It's a slow burn kind of read, no real action, but the lust is there, simmering. I especially enjoyed the interactions between each of the guys. They all have some trait that is uniquely theirs and pulls their personalities together. The inclusion of aspects like Ava's anxiety isn't seen much in books and really brings some realism to the st ...more

I liked this book. It had some funny moments but it did lose me slightly toward the end. The following is super picky but I'm trying to figure out why, at the sacrificial scene, I put the book down and did something else. I finished the book as an afterthought. Which is a damn shame, so here are my thoughts.

I'm thinking it could have been a bit shorter.

The MCs moments of amnesia over getting in touch with her best friend then the panic of trying to get in touch with her? Hmm. A tad annoying.

5 STARS !!!!!!!!
I have not had the time to read books as much as before.. But, what an amazing read this book has been! I almost had to resort to reading the Kindle app on my mobile phone when a break presented itself!

The plot was something I have never read before and that in itself was refreshing. I have grown to like the RH genre, but I feel many books in that genre are too short, with poor character build.
In Invisible you can actually enjoy the book - before you are of to buy the next one ;

Loved the book!

The story follows Ava, aka Avalon, as she makes her way through adulthood trying to get noticed by someone, anyone really. She feels invisible to people and has gone so far to shut herself in and work from home and barely socialize. Then some strange things start happening - she’s being followed for no reason and all of a sudden four guys, who can actually see her and she feels drawn to, show up. She finds that she is more like them than she thought, and those she thought she real

Paranormal with a twist of history

This was amazing, first of all I loved the characters, secondly the premise was fresh and different, and thirdly the drama, action, adventure, conflict, emotion, and humour were all there and some beautifully! Ava was sweet and funny, confused, conflicted, down to earth, confident and yet still trying to find herself and figure things out. All of this made her easy to relate to and fun to read, I'm definitely invested in this adventurous and magical story. The u

I will admit up front, this book took me a couple of chapters to get into - I almost gave up until I realised the author was on one of my reading groups' lists for this month. Because of that, I stuck it out a little bit longer, and I'm really glad I did!

The story follows Ava - Avalon - a young woman with the unfortunate habit of turning invisible when stressed and being remarkably unnoticeable. It's also a very fresh and unusual take on Arthurian legends. I'm not going to say much more for fear

Pretty cool

For a good part of this book, I was going to rate it a 3 or 3.5, then the last quarter smacked me in the face and upped the ante! I got vague echos of Arthurian legend in the beginning, but nothing solid aside her name and a few other tidbits, then suddenly you realize this IS all Arthurian legend (ok... so not Arthur, but still!) plus the twist came out of nowhere. I was NOT expecting that.

Soo good, did not expect this!

I really enjoyed this new take of being a character being invisible. I haven't read a story that has the MC with the power to become invisible, but in this book she doesn't really know that's the cause of always being ignored in her life. This story also takes a different view and touches on King Arthur and the round table and Sir Lancelot. It's definitely an RH with a slow burn to start of with until something happens to our MC that makes her lose her inhibitions a

Absolutely loved this book and was hooked straight away. Loved the humour in the book and add some HOT men to the story and it's a winner for me.

Avie is a great character and her 4 men are definitely HOT.... It's a slow burn reverse harem but I just know the next book in the series is going to get steamy.

The book is well written and loved that there was a good story that kept me intrigued and the last several chapters are full of action and kept me guessing at what would happen next.

This was a fun read about avie, girl with anxiety problems who everyone just ignores. She doesn't realize that she is somehow making herself invisible to them. Then one night out with her friend she meets three guys who notice her. I liked the incubus mythology and learning how each if her men were cursed. Also even though they were incubi they were trying not to "feed" on women. It was nice to throw in a king Arthur tie too. I hope that we get to see more growth in her relationships in the next ...more
