Book Review
I bought this novella, Running In Snow by Renee Regent on,, as a personal pick of mine. This novella is based on personal stories of the author, although still a work of fiction. Renee Regent wrote this to acknowledge people who have hard times and to give them hope. There are two separate stories plus at the end, the first chapter from the first book of the Higher Elevation series.

Running in Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent is a super quick and easy read. The book is made up of two short stories set around Christmas and the New Year. I enjoyed both of these stories, and they were well written, but I wanted them to be longer, so I could fully immerse myself in them and find out more about the characters, backstories, and background information.

Running In Snow - A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent comprises of two very, very short stories that are easy to read but both are heart wrenching to some degree. One is set around Christmas eve and the other New Years eve. They are we written but I would have liked to see them as longer stories.

Noelle’s Promise
Noelle does not do Christmas but when she falls in love she tries hard. After fleeing a party she realises that she needs to deal with her past before she can move forward.

Refreshingly different.

Each of these stories are very different. Yet each lady has a reason to not want to celebrate. Noelle just does not do Christmas, and Eve does not do New Years Eve. Both are heart warming. Both made me sigh. Yet each one has it 's own tale. From a Fan... Pam James.

I have read a couple of books from this author and they are always great. This book is two short stories that will get you into the holiday spirit. These stories got me hooked on this book and I couldn’t put it down. I read this book straight through. These stories are different but all about the same thing, hope.

Noelle has some very bad Christmas memories and that’s why she doesn’t celebrate it. She now has a boyfriend in her life that is taking her to see his family for Christmas. Noelle is s

Noelle's past Christmas with her parents when she was 8 caused her to not celebrate the holiday for the last 30 years. So, I am assuming that she is 38. She has fallen for Logan and his daughter, Lily, but she's is still holding on to her past and keeping it from him. As the story unfolds, she finally reveals her secret, and it is heartbreaking.

Christmas with Logan's family is not quite as smooth as she hoped it would be, and the "bumps" cause her unease. She ends up running away and having to

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is getting to devour sweet and soul-warming novellas that center around the magic of the season. Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella, is just that. Two heart and soul warming short stories that bring to life the promise of hope. I loved that these books were taken from the experiences of the author and spun into the stories. It made them seem just a little bit more magical.

2 short novellas by Renee Regent will leave you with a smile on your face. Both of these novellas are sweet happy reads just in times for Christmas that you will love

Noelle has had a rule to never celebrate Christmas since she was a little girl. She never does gift exchanges with friends or coworkers but this year she was invited to her boyfriends family celebration. She feels a bit uncomfortable for a little while until the moment arises and she goes running. To many memories are brought back
Noelle has faced a tragedy at a young age that has left her a bit anxious about the holidays as she's gotten older. For her, they hold very bad memories along with the wish to just skip them altogether. She's been lucky enough to have met a man who not only respects her wishes but doesn't push to hear the reasons behind it. Within a visit to his family during the holidays she is confronted with her past, faced with the reality of what the bitterness and sadness can do to her in time as well as h ...more

Running In Snow consists of two short, sweet novellas that I thoroughly enjoyed! It was absolutely perfect for a quick afternoon reading break!

Story One is Noelle’s Promise. This is about a woman who had something bad happen as a child that resulted in her never, ever celebrating Christmas in any way. She avoids all this Christmas cheer like it’s the plague! This year, against her better judgement, she has agreed to spend the holiday with her boyfriend and his family. Can she get through one wee

This is my third book by this author and once again I loved it..I think my favorite part right now is that I read it when the holidays are approaching and it seriously helped me get into the spirit. Of the two short stories I think Noelle’s Promise was my favorite. It was a story full of alot of feelings and my heart went out to her all the way through. Although quite short and I would have loved a lot more it still felt like a full and co

5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the two stories in this book. They will get you in the holiday spirit and are two sweet stories to read. They are romantic and will have you believing in the holiday spirit. One story will have you asking if your past define your future and the other if a holiday will be unlucky every year. I loved reading about the characters of Noelle and Eve. Running In Snow, A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent.
This was a novella made up of two short stories that take place on Christmas and New Years Eves. My only issue with reading a novella is that I never get enough.

Noelle’s Promise
Noelle has vowed not to celebrate the holidays again except now she has Logan in her life. Now she will be spending Christmas with Logan and his family. Can her holiday be happy or will her memories come back and ruin it for her.

Running in Snow by Renee Regent is a collection of two Christmas novellas. If you like holiday romance the. I would say these are great books to read. They are short but sweet reads that are bound to get you in the festive mood.
I really enjoyed these books. I liked the fact that even though thy we were short it didn’t feel like the stories were lacking in anyway. The basis of them were great and I loved the main characters. Eve and Noelle were different to each other so it didn’t feel like a reg

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent was a light romantic holiday read. I lost myself in this short collection and read it in one sitting. Noelle and Eve were amazing characters. I loved Noelle's story the most and how she overcame her holiday trauma. It was such a sweet read. I enjoyed how despite her issues with Christmas, she pushed through for love. That story had a happy ending that had me bubbling over with joy. I real

These two stories were the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The author did a wonderful job illustrating how past experiences should not dictate current life experiences, which is a great lesson for readers to learn. The first character Noelle had to overcome her past anxieties to be able to celebrate new traditions with her boyfriend. I feel like I related with Noelle the most because I also deal with anxiety and the holiday season can be a very trying time. The second character Eve h ...more

Running in Snow by Renee Regent was a fantastic quick wintry escape.
It is two novellas that touch upon what can be the toughest holidays for many.
Noelle’s Promise is a quick read that had a few surprise plot twists. Just when I thought I had predicted the story there was a twist or turn I wasn’t expecting. For being such a short novella there was great character development.
Eve’s Hope
Eve’s Hope was not at all predictable and had great humor to the story. Part of me hoped for more, but also e

This is a lovely read for the holiday season, with two heartwarming tales to get you in the mood (plus there’s snow!). Although a quick story with little plot, the way the backstories of the main characters was revealed and the way this played out into the character development was delightful. This was a warm book and super quick and easy to read, and I would have loved them to be a bit longer. Nevertheless, the characters were relatable and well-written, and the stories were interesting. These are two sweet holiday romance stories. They will warm your heart and keep you reading to the end. The characters are connectable and I could relate to them. Eve feels she is not so lucky during the holidays and than you have Noelle whose past has influenced how she feels about the holidays. Is it possible that these two will overcome their feelings so have a merry holiday? I highly recommend this book, these two women will boost your holiday spirit.

RUNNING IN SNOW contains two holiday novellas.

The first one was a 3.5 read for me. It is about a woman whose past defines her present. It bothered me that this seemingly successful woman hadn't dealt with her 8 year old self yet and lived in such an extreme state for so long.

The second story was a 5 star read for me. A classic holiday romance.

Both stories were quick and easy to read and while the first wasn't my cup of tea, it was still a well written story.

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent was two beautiful and deep holiday reads. I would give these 2 stories a four out of five stars. I loved the emotional tales because they were perfect snippets into these characters. I felt like I was peeking in from a window on a specific time in these characters lives. I know novellas are supposed to be quick but I truly wish these two were longer. I loved the names, Noelle and Eve, they fit the books perfectly.

Two lovely festive stories sure to make anyone feel some good holiday cheer.
Noelles Promise made me both smile and cry, and thankful for the love and family I have in my life.
Eves Hope gives you just that; hope. Amazing things can happen when you least expect them to, and this story made me feel warm and fuzzy from start to finish.
Brilliantly written and a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

This is a super quick and easy holiday read. The holidays are always stressful, more so when you’ve suffered a traumatic event so close to them. In this novella, we have 2 stories-2 women, 2 holidays, 2 horrific past events. Each woman comes full circle and gets her happy ending after confronting the issues that keep her from fully healing. Great job. 5 stars.

This is a short book with two holiday stories inside. They are both quick reads with interesting characters. One covers the Christmas season the other New Years. Both ladies want to stay home and not celebrate. But the wonders of the holiday season are against them.

I enjoy books like this for the winter. They give me a light hearted feel and who doesn’t want to smile during the season
