Liked this story for the detailed observation, by the author, of a band of monkeys and the transfer of power from the old leader of this band to the new one. Each monkey of the band has been given its own personality and maintained throughout.

This is a short story of monkeys and their group rather an observation of common behavior of group living and fight for superiority in it . Vyankatesh Madgulkar has wisely pointed our roots in evolving as human.
