This book was pretty much that palate-cleansing type. Light, sweet, a bit sexy. The characters were fine. He's an FBI agent, who apparently wants to keep it from his fake relationship girlfriend, something I'm still not sure I understand. He's got OCD and control issues and they are dealt with only on the surface-and described only on the surface in a sense. That's a shame, and I don't like it.

It was just a little puppy, how much trouble could it be to hold on to it for a month before Christmas when Gina could surprise her younger brother? Sure, the apartment she was subletting has a strict no pets policy, but come on… Day one and Gina is busted sneaking the pup out take care of business by the most gorgeous and intimidating man she has ever seen, but he doesn’t look like a rule breaker. And THAT is when things went from bad to worse…or certainly something unlike the carefree Gina has

Everyone should know by now how much I love the fake boyfriend/girlfriend trope in romance novels, so it should come as no surprise that when I read the synopsis for The Attraction Equation by Kadie Scott, I knew I had to read it.
Max Carter, FBI agent is great with numbers, but not so much with women. He follows a few simple rules when it comes to the opposite sex. There is no sleeping over, no personal information given and it’s for one night only. So, when his family keeps trying to set him up ...more

This is the second book in Kadie Scott's Love Undercover series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It's a quick read with very funny characters and humorous situations. I always enjoy a good opposites attract Rom-Com what makes it even better is the touch of Christmas and an adorable dog named T-Bone.

This was fun and light hearted. Max is sweet but has serious OCD so someone like Gina really got under his skin with her carefree haphazard ways.
Max was always one that lived for rules and no one ever tried to figure it out. Instead they made fun of him. It is only Gina who helps him and helps to get him to relax himself some. Gina is the neighbor that dreams. She lives in the moment and acts from the heart before thinking of the consequences. When she b ...more

I LOVED this book!
What do you get when you mix an anal FBI agent who lives life by the rules with a rule breaker?? A fantastic read is what you get!! Max has lied to his family about having a girlfriend so they don't try to set him up for the millionth time. Something clicks when he runs into Gina, who is ending her dog into the pet free apartment she is subletting. Max blackmails Gina to be his pretend girlfriend.

Review For: The Attraction Equation by Kadie Scott The Attraction Equation by Kadie Scott is the Second Book in the "Love Undercover" Series. This is the story of Max Carter and Gina Castillo. I have read the previous book but feel this can easily be a standalone book. Max is a FBI agent that looks into white color criminals and totally focused on his career. the attraction equation is also an opposite attracts story with a splash of fake relationship to hit on all my favorite romance tropes. max carter is a buttoned up fbi agent we met previously in the wrong kind of compatible, and how he ends up hooking up with his temporary next door neighbor gina is basically the heart of this story.

Max and Gina are a textbook story of opposites attract, but Kadie Scott added so many layers to each character that this story rose above being just a trope.
Max is very particular about every aspect of his life from how his coffee is made to where every item in his apartment goes. Gina, staying at a friend's apartment just a couple doors down from Max's, is much more laid back. She has a method to her mess when she makes one and odd jobs she takes to support her dream of set design.

This is the first book I read by this author, and it definitely won’t be the last.
The story centers around Max, an obsessively compulsive , and slightly OCD FBI agent Max and Gina , his absolutely opposite. While Max is a by the book guy, Gina is currently leasing a friend’s apartment next to Max and is hiding a puppy in a building that does NOT allo ...more

Max Carter is a pretty rigid dude. He only sleeps with women, he never dates them. This is a practice that gets him into trouble when he blurts out at the family Thanksgiving dinner that his family can stop fixing him up- he's already got a girlfriend. Too bad that's not true. So he decides to blackmail the first woman he sees into being his fake girlfriend.
