ARC REVIEW

This is the second book in Kadie Scott's Love Undercover series, but can be read as a standalone novel. It's a quick read with very funny characters and humorous situations. I always enjoy a good opposites attract Rom-Com what makes it even better is the touch of Christmas and an adorable dog named T-Bone.

Max dug himself in a hole when he lied to his family about having a girlfriend over Thanksgiving dinner. He was so tired of their constant meddling and matchmaking he said the first

I LOVED this book!

What do you get when you mix an anal FBI agent who lives life by the rules with a rule breaker?? A fantastic read is what you get!! Max has lied to his family about having a girlfriend so they don't try to set him up for the millionth time. Something clicks when he runs into Gina, who is ending her dog into the pet free apartment she is subletting. Max blackmails Gina to be his pretend girlfriend.

Gina is fun and flighty and nothing like Max. But that is what make her

This is the story of Gina Castillo, who is looking after her best friend’s apartment while she is away, but she breaks one of the rules of the building, no pets. It is Christmas time and Gina has bought her younger brother a puppy, problem is she can’t give it him until Christmas day so has to sneak around the building. On one of these trips she meets up with the sexy next door neighbour Max Carter who her friend has told her he is very str

“You do realize all the men in those movies marry the women they fake a relationship with right?”

A shudder rippled through him. “I may be desperate, but I’m not delusional. I can guarantee that won’t happen.”

The Attraction Equation pairs an uptight, OCD finance guy and a creative spirit together with some sizzling sexual tension to heat up the holidays. It reminded me of those TV made romance movies, but without the cheesy acting and lines. I sped through The Attraction Equation in one sitting

Gina and Max might have come together for the wrong reasons but the instant attraction that they feel for one another could not be faked. Gina may have only agreed to be Max’s fake girlfriend in order to keep her dog and her best friends apartment but the feelings that she starts to develop for Max couldn’t be more real. Max may have blackmailed Gina to play his fake girlfriend to keep his mother off his back but his unexpected feelings towards Gina and him being able to be himself makes him rea ...more

I might be in the minority here but I didn't enjoy this one as much as I thought I would.
The Hero Is a control freak. The heroine is just okay. The rest of the story is cute. But this 'fake girlfriend' trope is repeated so many times and I have already read it so many times that it's boring. After reading the same plot line the comparisons are obvious. And comparatively this book was meh.

Received in exchange for a honest review.

This was fun and light hearted. Max is sweet but has serious OCD so someone like Gina really got under his skin with her carefree haphazard ways.

Max was always one that lived for rules and no one ever tried to figure it out. Instead they made fun of him. It is only Gina who helps him and helps to get him to relax himself some. Gina is the neighbor that dreams. She lives in the moment and acts from the heart before thinking of the consequences. When she b

**4-4.5 stars** The Attraction Equation was a super fun, sweet & sexy read! I loved this opposites attract -“fake” romance story!

Max is happiest with order and structure. He has a closet full of the same suits, his apartment is spotless, and everything has it’s place. He never deviates from it and Max likes it that way. Relationships? No...that would never work.

Until one day Gina, a woman whose life is full of color and chaos, comes into his life in an unexpected way.

Review For: The Attraction Equation by Kadie Scott The Attraction Equation by Kadie Scott is the Second Book in the "Love Undercover" Series. This is the story of Max Carter and Gina Castillo. I have read the previous book but feel this can easily be a standalone book. Max is a FBI agent that looks into white color criminals and totally focused on his career. the attraction equation is also an opposite attracts story with a splash of fake relationship to hit on all my favorite romance tropes. max carter is a buttoned up fbi agent we met previously in the wrong kind of compatible, and how he ends up hooking up with his temporary next door neighbor gina is basically the heart of this story.

Max and Gina are a textbook story of opposites attract, but Kadie Scott added so many layers to each character that this story rose above being just a trope.

Max is very particular about every aspect of his life from how his coffee is made to where every item in his apartment goes. Gina, staying at a friend's apartment just a couple doors down from Max's, is much more laid back. She has a method to her mess when she makes one and odd jobs she takes to support her dream of set design.

This is the first book I read by this author, and it definitely won’t be the last.
The story centers around Max, an obsessively compulsive , and slightly OCD FBI agent Max and Gina , his absolutely opposite. She works multiple part-time jobs, and is an aspiring stage designer who is not only spontaneous, but also lives in a controlled chaos environment. While Max is a by the book guy, Gina is currently leasing a friend’s apartment next to Max and is hiding a puppy in a building that does NOT allo

I read the first book in this series and really liked it, so I was excited about having the opportunity to read this one as well. Although the first one is still my favorite, I found this to be a very enjoyable read. Gina is adorable, and of course T-Bone makes the book! So then there's Max. I thought that Max's extreme OCD added a very interesting twist to the story. I will say, though, that I got very frustrated wit

Max Carter is a pretty rigid dude. He only sleeps with women, he never dates them. So he decides to blackmail the first woman he sees into being his fake girlfriend.

I loved book 1.  It was a 5* read.  So, no pressure with the sequel, right?

All the things that made The Wrong Kind of Compatible work are here.  The humour.  The sarcastic comebacks.  The three dimensional characters.

And yet, this book feels different.  Good different.  Which is precisely how it should be, given Max and Gina's dynamic, and their particular character quirks.

As the author has once again set her characters within a well thought out and crafted plot, with good pacing and natural l

Gina & Max meet under some really odd circumstances. Him being with the FBI, you do not expect him to do what he has to do to avoid his mom. Gina is shocked and amused.

A truly heartwarming story of opposites attract...covered in laughter, witty repartee, lots of banter, and not to forget, a totally lovable little mutt named surprisenly T-bone...which speaks to Gina's unique personality and sense of humor.

Though the story of opposites attract is nothing new, but with Ms Scott's spin on it, you get Max and Gina...with moments of hilarity, mixed in with the rigidrigidness of OCD...making for an enjoyably entertaining story.
