At nineteen years old, Wilber has never been on a plane before, much less out of the country. And he’s certainly never had an interest in bees. So, when he decides to enroll in a weeklong beekeeping class in Slovenia, he knows it will come as a surprise to his family and friends.

Liked the vivid descriptions of the streets of Ljubljana. The descriptions are quite accurate and you could tell that the author was familiar with the place and actually walked the streets himself as well as travelled to the country side.

Also, I learned something new about beekeeping even though I had spent many hours working with my father on his bee hives before.
The story is contrived and cheese at times however, I enjoyed reading as it took me back to my home country.

“Even though the bee is small, there she is on the flower, doing something of value.
