It's much easier to adopt a child when you're married... it's a lot harder not to fall in love.

Scott had everything he wanted out of life. Rich and handsome, with his dream job, by most measures, he was successful. Until one day, he realized what was missing. He wanted to be a father.

Mark, a brilliant but isolated artist, has been living alone with his adopted daughte

So the book was ok. It was a bit odd how things came about and while it’s supposed to be an hea, it just felt like an HFN to me. It just....ended. Things still felt very up in the air to me. The big deal in the book was them trying to adopt. We don’t get to find out if that actually happens. Also the situation with Scott’s parents wasn’t resolved at all. If you sign up for the author’s newsletter you get a bonus scene and maybe these questions would be answered. That drives me crazy. Just give m ...more

I loved Unconventional Husband by Riley Knight. It's a steamy straight-to-gay marriage-of-convenience story about Scott and Mark. Scott has everything he could ever want with the success of his sitcom that he both directs and acts in, but he finds that he has a hole that he can't fill. He's had plenty of relationships with women, but they haven't lasted, and he finally figures out what he wants more than anything, a child. Someone to love unconditionally and will love him back. When Mark a guest ...more

This was a nice HEA with a lot of heat, but there was a lot that I think could have been fleshed out more - (view spoiler)

And this was just odd, but the guys would enter a bedroom - fully clothed mind you - start kissing, e

A Must Read!!!

I didn’t want this book to end....each page I came closer to ending this story the more I started to feel trepidation and I know it seems like such a large word to use for this book review but I just didn’t want Scott and Mark to be over with. Unconventional was definitely the best way to describe what they had in their marriage but damned if it wasn’t beautiful. Every obstacle was met with a kindness and understanding that truly we will ONLY find in a book but hey that’s why I rea

Overall I liked the story. It was a bit fast paced at times but that could be just my opinion about it. The story wasn't bogged down by unnecessary characters and drama and that's always a good thing. As for the couple they were a bit awkward at first but eventually the relationship smoothed out into a good one as roles and relationships were adjusted, for example Mark's relationship with Mary Anne, he had trouble for a little while adjusting to Scott being able to do things with her that he cou ...more

To much narration not enough dialog

Not the best written book. The story did not follow a clear process. It went from having coffee to marriage proposal in a very unrealistic way. There was no build up. Also there was to little dialog between the characters. The ending to abruptly. No good 2 stars for effort.

Cute

This was a cute, quick and easy read. Both main characters were likable enough and their daughter as well. But because it was quick it did not seem that the characters were strongly developed.

Great!

Scott and Mark showed what true love was all about. So happy that they found each other and made a happy life together!
