This was the fourth book by this author and I believe this was my favorite thus far. As in most of Perkins' books things are rarely as they seem. Yet the wat it was written allowed for a seamless flow. The characters all had a purpose and were determined to reach their prescribed solution. What was fun was the twisted and turns in the plot. Once they occurred it made sense but sometime as the author sometimes does so well, they seem to take as life of their own. People are no ...more
This book is a solid 3 out of 5 stars, but there are a few things i could not in my personal opinion look past to give it a 5 and the first thing is there is just too much going on in this book. There is political espionage, corporate monopolies, you can genetic engineered human and other species, and in a way even some apocoliptic possibiliites. Just too much. There are also so many different storyline, that I will say the author does weave amazing ...more
I found this story fascinating because at first, I didn't realize that there was a sci-fi element to it. Now, before you write it off for that reason, you should give it a try. I would almost say that a story like this could have been written by one of the most renowned author ...more

If you’re into a mix of science fiction, fantasy, politics and thriller all mixed in together Sorcerers Dynasty is the book for you. It has a little bit of everything all rolled into one story!the story is broken up into acts, which kind of works, but I think I would have made it into a series myself instead of one long book! There’s so much going on that I sometimes found myself lost! I felt like I was scrambling around trying to find the story line again. But that al ...more
Dark, right? Alternate histories tend to go that route and author Stephen Perkins provides no break from the norm. I want to say very little about the plot because discovering every little thing in this flipped inside out fantasy gave me the optimum reading experience.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I found myself rooting for the journalists who were out to discover the truth, and Dan Sheraton's antics were entertaining and worth the read.
