I devoured Queen of Gods in one non-stop setting. It was a perfect blend of intrigue, bad ass characters, vampire politics, and sex. The book goes back and forth in POV between two female MC’s. Gwynnore, the vampire novitiate set in her desire for the crown. Her story follows the trials set forth she must pass before obtaining said goal. It also follows Kimber, an acolyte in the Land of Unseen Gods, which appears to be a land of druids, cut off from our world and the vampires centuries ago by ma ...more

WOW just WOW!!!!!

This new series from Scarlett Dawn and Katherine Rhodes was soooo good. It seems to be a slow burn RH but that is the only aspect of slow in this book. This book is told from two very diffeent women. The first is a vampire named Gwynnore, vampire novitiate with a desire to be queen, and Kimber, a female druid who soon learns she is more than just a childrens teacher. This book is dark, gritty, suspenseful and a wonderful read. The trials that Gwynnore has to endure t
My Rating: 4.5 Stars - because I see the potential for a Love-Hate Relationship with this series.

Power and sex, lies and secrets, hidden agendas and open hatred. Welcome to the world of QUEEN OF GODS as a new series starts out with a “dual personality” and multiple players, all with an agenda of their very own. Two storylines are playing out as two main voices are heard, Gwynnore, a fierce, over-the-top-with-outward-attitude vampire awakened from a long sleep and Kimber, a Druid who seems to be Gwyn’s polar opp

So many of the wise teachers had said, education is not just learning. Doing, and being, and seeing and witnessing—all of it was part of life.

This book could qualify for a study in weird balancing and complimentary opposing forces.

My favourite set was Gwen's side. While that side lacked in many ways, it entertained me immensely. Kimber's side, while clearly playing an important✨

Holy. Crap. I am still in awe of what I just read. As a fan of Scarlett Dawn's since she first released King Hall, she continues to amaze me with every single release of hers. I do always get a bit nervous when a favorite author of mine decides to co-write with someone, as I wonder how they will be able to merge their voices into one without the reader being able to tell who wrote what. It is totally an art to be able to do that, and these ladies knocked it out of the park with Queen of Gods. I ...more

I see that I am clearly in the minority regarding this book. Well it's just how things go, you either love a book or you don't, but I must say that I really did not have enough patience for this story.

First off it felt as if it would have been better as two books, it all just felt so slow and clunky, like one long Yawn. And secondly I couldn't stand the leading ladies they just irritated me no end and I can't tell you why, especiall

3.5 Stars. It was a solid fantasy but I’m not quite sure of my thoughts on it quite yet. I do know I didn’t connect with the characters and that has something to do with my rating. I did like the world building though.
I didn't realize it in advance but I have previously read Queen of Gods by Scarlett Dawn & Katherine Rhodes in the anthology Magic and Alphas: A Paranormal Romance Collection
by Scarlett Dawn, Catherine Vale, Margo Bond Collins, C.J. Pinard, Devin Fontaine, Katherine Rhodes, Brenda Trim, Tami Julka , Calinda B. I was conflicted the first time around and have to say I probably wouldn't of requested a review read if I did realize it was the same book.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd be giving Scarlett Dawn less than a four or five star rating. Normally whenever I get my hands on one of Scarlett's books I devour it within hours. This time I started it as soon as I got it and very quickly lost interest. I don't particularly care for either of the two main characters (honestly it took me a very long time to realise Gwynn was even female). Kimber is sweet, innocent and... boring, she lacks the 'oomph' needed to make a true lea ...more

People seem to either love it or hate it and I'm glad to say I loved this book! I didn't have any expectations and I didn't even know it had two POVs (even though we read a lot more from Gwen). I did find Gwen's story a lot more interesting and captivating but by the end, my only concern is to get my hands on the sequel. It's ready and waiting for me on my kindle ;).

I liked it but ,but didn’t love it.... and where was the RH ?

I’m not really sure what to say here, this was a fast paced intriguing and interesting story but just because it’s the start of a series doesn’t be you always have to feel lost or behind....
Honestly I didn’t like having to switch between the heroines that was never in the various and numerous bulbs I was sent via email ,just as I would get really into one h’s part of the story I’d be thrown back to the other and it was ki

Note: A story by these authors was released under this name before as part of a collection. If you intend to continue this series, you will need to read this new version.

There are two main female characters in Queen of the Gods, one is a druid, Kimber, and one is a vampire, Gwynnore. I liked seeing the contrast between how the two of them dealt with being called for a higher purpose and how they dealt with that call.

I was confused as to what was going on for about half of the book.
I am so intrigued.
I fucking bloody loved it.

Gwen: trials to be queen of vamps
Kimber: important to her society.
Gods: apparently important
Elex: the man of my dreams. A fucking savage.

I need a therapist after reading about Elex.

Bel: huge penis
Nial: smaller penis but equally sexy
Cato: please tell me he’s not part of this apparent harem that I didn’t see at all???

I received an ARC in exchange for a review.

I'm no stranger to Scarlett Dawn's writings having read her Forever Evermore series; which were amazing! But, I'm not here to talk about that fun and sexy series.

I'm here to give you my thoughts on Queen of Gods. How to begin? It had been a few months since I had read a supernatural or paranormal book. I have been reading quite a few cozy mysteries. So, when I started reading Queen of Gods, I was piqued by the beginning of the story.

I originally read this story in an anthology published last year. I enjoyed it then but the authors have made significant changes since then and wow is all i can say. The story has been expanded on and they have done a fantastic job. It is fast past and exciting and the chAracters are well written and likeable. I really like the MFC Gwyn she is a kickass take no prisoners kind of girl. She suffers from a terrible choice she has to make towards the end of the book, and her strength shines through ...more
I haven't read a book like this in a long time. Two POVs, two different stories, yet you could feel the pull in them—the pull to get together, become one, because they were more interconnected than it seemed.
The book was full of characters with their own agendas and the intrigue level was off the charts and I was loving every bit of it.

Um well it was alright(not), i got suprised when it was two MC in this book and we also got to read from both of their PoV. So each and every chapter it changed to the other MC.
I can honestly say that i didn't care much about Kimbers PoV , i thought she was kind a boring you can sort of say and i didn't connect with her. Gwen was a lot better than kimber, i enjoyed her chapters/PoV , she was funny , snarky, bitchy and a lil wild. I prefer MC that can snap back, ya know what i mean. ...more

I previously read what it seems was the first draft of this story in the Magic and Alphas anthology, so I was able to pinpoint all the ways they changed it and... boy, did it go another way.
Starting with the first chapter, Gwyn's storyline is less bloodthirsty... but I still think all the characters there are assholes. The authors need to go a long way to redeem them.
Kimber's storyline was new and perfect. It

Wow I couldn’t put this book down. It has action, badass characters, drama and lots of hot sex. It’s dual POV between Gwynnore and Kimber. The story flows really well between the two. Gwynnore is a candidate to become queen. She has to do 5 trials and pass to be queen. She does have to make some hard decisions during the trials. She is strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Kimber is a Druid. She is more sweet. She feels the magic calling to her

Ok, so I waited to start this series until book 3 came out because I didn't need yet another multi-book drag happening, plenty of those already! Only to find out there will be 3 more! Ms. Dawn, you are cruel...
It started out ok, definitely liked Gwens story more than Kimber and yes, I was wondering how this was advertised as RH. Well, about 2/3 of the story, I started to really pay attention! Whoa, Bel.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

First and foremost what you need to know. DO NOT let the first chapter discourage you from reading the story, I know it’s kinda terrible, plain and written like something from a pre-schooler text book but after getting over those brief couple of pages the story transforms into a spectacular tale. Apart from the first chapter I loved the rest of it, admittedly the authors messed it up w

IT WAS SO GOOD! Sometimes I am in the mood for true vampires, not the glittering kind, the rash and harsh kind. This novel delivers that in perfection. Then it goes and throw druids into the mix and I was hooked!

This novel alternated POV between two areas of the world. The Druids and The Vampires.

I have not read any of Katherines works before but I am a HUGE fan of Scarlett. This novel screams with her c characters and her style so I can't wait to dive into Katherines works as well.

So back to the actual book. I felt like t

What a brilliant start to a new series!!

History tells that a protective magic raised the mountain separating the druids and vampires, and locked the gates forever. There is a prophecy that states that once the chosen love awakens, the mountain will break and the two worlds will unite.

This story provides two main point of views - one from Kimber and her journey with the druids and the excitement she and most of her people feel at the thought of the prophecy coming true. At

Could have been really good. The story line overall is interesting enough but the follow through just wasn't there for me. It felt very disjointed flipping back and forth between the druids and the vampires maybe because this was written by two authors. Instead of a combined effort to write the whole book I suspect Scarlett Dawn mostly wrote the vampires the part of the book I actually enjoyed
and Katherine Rhodes wrote the druids story. I did not care for the story progression on the druid sid
