Natalia is accepted into an establishment that prepares virgins for the auction block. When ready, they are then sold at the Odalisque, owned by Lucius Belmont. From the moment she enters the corridors of the abbey she reminds herself this is all a ruse and it will be over soon. She must get the information she needs and she will quietly disappear.

Lucius is not fooled. Her background is too perfect. Her excuse for offering herself up as well as her reactions to her punishment when caught breaki

Natalia hasn’t heard from her half-sister, Naomi, in over six months. After searching for her through every outlet she can think of, she decides her only option is to go to the last place Naomi mentioned wanting to get a job at: the Odalisque. But not just anyone gets access to the Odalisque, so Natalia does what’s necessary by joining the Abbey of the Virgins, a school where virgins are educated on how to satisfy a man before auctioning off their virginity. She doesn’t care about any of that th ...more

I think this is the book I'd recommend if you wanted to start reading Josie Litton's work. Tales of the Odalisque is a sensual, sumptuous, richly thrilling novella that is perfect to read in one or two sittings. If you're in the mood for something a little sexy, a little taboo, and a little mysterious, then I suggest you give this erotic tale a read.

Having read His Lordship's Downfall, parts 1 and 2, I can say that this isn't QUITE as scandalous. If you finished those works and are dying for mor

Josie Litton

A tale that is steamy but somewhat naughty read and with a mystery thrown in for good measure. Having to read a couple of Josie's read I can say this is tamer than her usual in your face romance book. But none the less you will love it.
Natalie wants to find her sister and the only way to do so is going undercover into the Odalispue. But what happens when she discovers her match made in heaven. In the arms of of the delish but sexy Lucius? Will she find all that she

The only thing I would like to gripe about is that this book is way too short.
Everything else? Perfect.
But I do miss Josie Litton's Vikings series and that genre and time period.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying her comeback isn't great, in fact, it's amazing but I do hope she returns to write something similar to the Vikings series too.

Anyway, back to this wonderful book!
We got a chance to see the return of Lord Adrian (from Litton's His Lordship's Downfall) in this book and it was just meltin

Tales of the Odalisque is a steamy, entertaining, timeless sort of story. Although apparently set in the present, there are references that make this seem much like historical erotica. I like the contrast between it being set in the present, with things like technology and computer hacking, and the references to times of old like the costumes (snood).

Natalia is looking for her half sister. Her search for her has led her to the Abbey, a place where women's virginities are auctioned off. Natalia i

Very entertaining and enticing read!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Tales of the Odalisque written by Josie Litton and voluntarily reviewed this book. “Lucious Lucius” Belmont is the owner of the world’s most exclusive sex club, the Odalisque. He is powerfully connected, rich, handsome as the Devil, and he has anything he could ever desire right at his fingertips. But his libido has not been charged for the last six months. Until a certain street waif, Nata

Having read His Lordship's Downfall, I thought I knew what to expect but I was wrong. Lucius was like Adrian yet different. They are both rich arrogant men who are used to getting what they want but Lucius is more in touch with his emotions and less deviant. Natalia is nothing like Jane, although they both pretend to be demure and innocent.
The cat and mouse of Lucius and Natalia is so fun. If he had been a lesser man she might have conned him entirely. I was surprised it took him so long to fig

This is an extremely sensual story. Nevertheless, what transpires between Natalia and Lucius is well-written and tasteful, in no way detracting from the intrigue and enjoyment of the book. As the story progresses, Natalia and Lucius pit their wits against each other, culminating in a quite unusual conclusion. This book encompasses a storyline that is beguiling and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it.

Natalia has only one thought in mind and that is to find her half-sister, he

Review for Odalisque

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. I have to hide my moral compass when I read Ms. Litton’s books. In real life the subject matter appalls me, but in my reading chair my conscience just goes out the window. I was incredibly happy to get this arc because I lost every single arc this author has sent me previously when I rebooted my kindle. This book is wonderful because it is timeless. Until I read the reference to limonchello this book could h

WOW! I love the world Josie Litton has created. While you don't have to His Lordship's Downfall to enjoy Tales of the Odalisque, I highly recommend it. Litton has created an erotic world, where the taboo and forbidden are commonplace.

“Luscious Lucius” has created a world within a world, filled with the sensual and the wicked. For a price, you can indulge in your wildest fantasies. And while it seems that nothing is too taboo or out of the question, Lucius manages to keep this world safe, where o

Natalia needed a warning label!

Overall: Tales of the Odalisque was a shockingly hot tale of seduction, power, and intrigue. I loved it! It got my blood throbbing!

Characters: The characters were believable and very original. Natalia was especially multidimensional as she grew and changed from an innocent girl to a sensual and sexual woman. I liked the interesting contrast between Natalia's lightness and purity to Lucius' darkness and depravity.

Plot: There was a little bit of mystery, some suspens
A veritable provocation

Knowing the rich and procacious imagination of this author, I should've have been prepared for the salacious, naughty and inventive sensuality displayed in this novel. Alas, I was still surprised. And I managed to blush a bit, too.

A mix of bodouir exhibitionism, red alcobe instruction and mysterious espionage, The Odalisque is both fun and well devised. The narrative is rich and elegant while telling about virgin auctions, clandestine plans, notorious rakes and smart yet

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this!!! I've read Litton's "His Lordship's Downfall", and The Tales of Odalisque occurs not much further down the timeline of that. You do not have to read His Lordship's in order to read this one but it's a great series so you should. I have to say that one of my most favorite aspects of Litton's writing in this series is that you cannot tell what era her books take place in. Her writing style makes it sound like it's in a

How can a book turn you on? Well this one will. Natalia is looking for her half sister who she has not heard from in six months. They normally keep in touch every several weeks. The last time they spoke her sister mentioned about applying for a job at the Odalisque. Natalia exhausted all her leads except one, Odalisque. I loved the fact of the loyalty Natalia held for her sister and for her father. Sad history as it was. But Natalia was brave and applied to the Odalisque and was accepted. Her in ...more

Is there a spot to put six stars?

I read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'd never read anything by Josie Litton before and I'm quite pleased with having now put her on my to-do list. Writing a review for this book is one of the easiest things I've ever done. This book is the second of a series, I believe and whileit is a standalone, from what I can tell, the club and characters in the book are mentioned in the first book also. So now I'm thinking I'll have to check them ou

A Review of Tales Of The Odalisque by Josie Litton

Natalia and Lucius - 4.5 stars

I have to say, I was completely fascinated by the gorgeous violet eyes on the cover of this book and the way that Ms. Litton describes them in the story. I was so drawn into the telling of this story that I read it all in one sitting, with a good portion of it sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what was going to happen next. I absolutely LOVED the way the "Classes" were taught at the Abbey and we all

This is the first book I’m reading by this author. I really enjoyed this book. It had a well thought out plot with interesting characters. Her excellent attention to detail created some amazing imagery in my minds eye bringing Club Odalisque and it’s patrons escapades to life. There are many hot and steamy moments. There are also some disturbing but erotic moments. I found them all enjoyable. What held this back from being a 5* Review is that once the auction takes place and the 2

Natalie Bollinger’s exuberant half-sister is missing. Natalie’s only lead to Naomi’s disappearance is their last conversation, in which Naomi raves excitedly about Lucius Belmont, the owner of an infamous and renowned sex club, The Odalisque. “Luscious Lucius” he is nicknamed. As one of Natalie’s new comrades later chirps: “He should be caged up somewhere and saved for the delectation of appreciative females.”

Fantastic Read!
Natalia, searching for her 1/2 sister at a high end sex club, finds a lot more than what she's looking for. Lucius, who has been celibate for the past year is the owner/ founder of Odalisque, finds himself beyond intrigued with Natalia. She's a mystery he needs to solve. One aspect that truly intrigued me was how Lucius viewed himself. Upon viewing his actions throughout the story, I did not see him that way at all. This book had a more romantic tone than I'd expected. It was ref

I was very intrigued by the plot in this book and I had high expectations for the story.
Always a plus that the main female character is a strong woman (though I felt her to be a little naive sometimes)
I liked the way this story build up to the main event, but wished the "strong side" of Natalia could have been used a little more. I also felt like the this story ended to quickly.I would have wished for a little more drama, even more rawness.

But the plot as I said intrigued me - The forbidden, the

A little dark, a little steam, and a whole lot of intrigue are woven together in this unusual love story. Lucius is so sexy and commanding, and his attraction to Natalia is palpable. She starts off determined to find her sister (or at least what happened with her) but soon she finds herself falling under his spell. Despite finding the ending a bit abrupt, the story was a great read and the characters are very memorable. The writing is instantly captivating, intense in some parts and humorous in ...more
