There are at least fourteen reasons why we shouldn’t be together.

Richard
I’m single again at forty and plan to keep it that way.
Jillian is the one person who makes me rethink my decision. I’m drawn to her like a moth to the flame. Fate keeps putting us into each other’s path. But I’ll be damned if I end up letting someone hurt me again.

Little did I know that after one kiss

The title is Silver Fox. Who doesn’t want to read that? Then this line from the blurb, Their love affair is an erotic passionate meld of lust and understanding - It’s also taboo, ... how can you resist? I know I couldn’t so I jumped in, eyes closed, and was willing to swim with all the no-nos.

But that’s not what this was.

Misleading doesn’t even cover it. There was nothing taboo about this story. Nothing. I’m not sure about you, but in 2018, I don’t think anyone is calling for pitchforks if th

ARC provided in exchange of an honest review. Release date: February 4th 2018. :D
I have mixed feelings regarding this book. 70% of it was detailed, the action had continuity, but the last part was a complete mess. It was rushed, as if it was written just to be done with it. It had potential, but that 30% left in the ending, has turned things upside down for me.
Richard is a 40 years old man, who is handling a divorce (his ex, Sheila, is such a manipulative bitch!), hence he is undecided all the

"All I want is for him to be here in the flesh, doing all the dirty things he promised in my dreams."

Silver Fox is the first book I've read by Misha Elliott. Yes, I admit the title and cover had me very intrigued. Being in the 'silver' stage myself I am totally on board with reading about a #SilverFox and having that nice visual in my head as I do.

Richard is successful in business, but not in love. Accepting that pure determination is not enough to make a relationship work, he's ready to move

"Silver Fox" by Misha Elliott

My Thinking:

I liked this cute and sweet romantic story that featured Jill Caldwell and Richard Sisk. It was beautifully well written by this author giving us a story of a younger woman and older man relationship. It was no doubt that after Jill meets Richard much earlier from her babysitting his daughter would they meet again under different circumstances now t

This is a total win!!
Silver Fox by Misha Elliott is the perfect blend of old and new school, the taboo element being age.
Ms. Elliott brings life to these two people struggling in the romance department. Neither one, Richard nor Jill is looking for love but because of accidental meeting and the love of Prince, these two can not help but date.
Not an easy to accomplish when neither one knows how to really approach the other.

This is a super sweet, at times very hot HEA!!
I loved it.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love the story line in this book as it's not a popular one at this time. Older man 40, and younger woman 26, meet and find their HEA. He married young and she lost her parents at 17. He kept the marriage going for his daughter and she finished raising her 10 year old brother. He's divorcing and now both find themselves embarking on the journey to finding themselves as the daughter and brother move on to college and their own lives.

This is an easy read wit

I tried to like this one, really I did. But after reading the whole thing, Silver Fox just wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong, I love mature romances but I found it hard to like Richard. He just didn't do it for me.

My Rating: 3 stars

This is the first time I have read this author and it won’t be my last. I enjoy the older man/younger woman trope and this slow burn romance didn’t disappoint.

Richard Sisk is 40 and a successful architect and is ending his 20-year loveless marriage. He’s signed the papers and is waiting for the judge to sign off to finalize. His ex-wife was a real piece of work! They tried to make the marriage work for the sake of their now college age daughter, but there was nothing to salvage. He goes out to a

It took me a while to get the review together for this book because I wanted to think on it before I wrote my review. The last part of the book was a hot mess, it felt really rushed. Richard is a 40-year-old business man going through a divorce. He wasn’t looking for love, he was just looking when he comes across Jillian. I really had a problem a when Richard was referred to constantly as old. I really don’t think 40 is all that old. I actually really liked Jillian, she was probably t

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review...

Given the title, I would've never given this book more than a passing glance (assuming it was just another shifter romance). But it is aptly named, because in my mind Richard is so perfectly hott (tatted, salt n pepper, wide, and buff *sigh*)
This was a surprisingly endearing read. Normally with books like these (contemporary romance), I'm "eye rolling" the live long novel, but this author was so smart in her delivery. She knew her audience a

I've only read Misha's work when it was a part of an anthology. So this is my 1st time just reading her alone. I am creeping closer to that big 40 ... so I really enjoy when authors talk about older age and making folks realize that it is really not biggie ... Love at any age in my opinion is no biggie and folks should not look down upon them ... if all is great and both of the people wanna be there. Worry about your own life stop fussing about their happenings. I loved this read, I could sympat ...more

This is my first time reading this author. I was mislead with the blurb as being a taboo story and both 17. They can’t be both 17 when they have 17 years apart? The storyline was promising enough and had potential. I understand that ARC’s are not the corrected version but some scenes did not fit and flow well. So I found it being distracting. I had to reread some scene a few times in order to understand.

The characters were engaging enough that they made things more interesting. I liked Richard’

**ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

I'm trying really hard to understand what exactly the issue was between Richard and Jill? The man is only fourteen years older than her, which isn't exactly a lifetime, so what's all the fucking fuss about? He's just turned 40 and she's 26...again...what is the problem? I think I would have been creeped out if he was 40 and she was like 18 or something, that shit is just all kinds of wrong, but 40 to her 26, really should not be an issue. Should I

Enjoyed this.

Richard was a good honorable guy. Confused on his feelings and tried to do what he thought was right but a good guy. He was in a tough situation and didn’t know how to deal with it.

Jill was a great female lead. I didn’t agree with her rash decisions towards the end but liked her. she was strong, caring and understanding. She was however very shaky on confidence when it came to feelings from others. She has had a tough life because of the responsibility she had and came out of it w

Misleading and Made me Feel Old

As a lover of the taboo/age gap story, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into Silver Fox. After finishing, I reread the blurb and wondered why I took this book for review in the first place, it has nothing to do with an age gap or being taboo. At all.

Richard is forty and has been living his life out of obligation for his daughter. Wed young, not in love and sticking it out for the sake of the kid is a recipe for disaster. His disaster. The wife, like him, is finally

There are so many things to love about this book. First off, the amazing cover that gives the reader a face for Richard. Second, the great chemistry between the couple, even though an age difference of more than a decade should be a barrier. Then there is the reluctance of a man coming out of a long-term relationship because he feels like a failure. Richard has always been a man who has done the right thing, even if it meant giving up his dreams. Now, starting over after being divorced by the vi ...more

It was a lovely story of two persons who felt lost as a consequence of failure and lost, afraid of trust and how a bit of happiness for themselves will taste.
We got Jillian a young woman in the outside, mature after all the tragedies in her life, with a heart to keep in an arm distance in order to not let it be damaged by hurt. Then we got Richard an older man (only in age, his description makes him more edible) who didn't want to believe in love again for the errors of his past.

I was intrigued by the summary of the book as I am in a similar situation, my significant other is 14 years older than me. Neither of us have an issue with the age difference but I can understand Richard's apprehension. For the most part, I enjoyed reading this book. This was the first book I read by this author and it didn't disappoint. We meet Jillian who sacrificed a lot of her early twenties to take care of her brother after a tragedy. Nothing was more important than her brother. Now that he is all grown up, she can start living her own life. Richard is just getting out of a twenty year marriage and wants to break free. I'll admit that I took one look at the title for this one and was ready to read it. Silver fox. May/December romance. What's not to love? Richard is one of the most lovable characters that I've come across in some time. He's a bit broken by circumstances and he's got some anger over the way things have played out in his marriage, but he also has a heart of gold and wants to do the right thing, whatever that may be. She dealing with her brother whom she raised leaving for college and expecting her to start living her life. I didn't find the conflict strong enough. It wasn't really a Dec/May romance with 13 years separating them. She was in her late twenties so able to deal with a guy a little older. He is a nice guy and hot--why not.

I will say that cover sell book and this cover is HOT!

I don't really think this book was taboo and had no drama. Jillian (26) and well beyond her years. Richard (40) is recently divorced and struggling with what that means. Once the two get past their roadblocks this is just a sweet romance.

This was nicely written but I didn't connect with the characters and was expecting the taboo aspect to be played up quite a bit more. I felt like Jillian was more mature about how she handled certain situatio

Richard and Jill's story was pretty sweet..not forbidden by any means, instead a romantic journey between a silver fox and a younger woman.
I loved Jill right from the start, from her choices to her feelings, that make her more mature than she should be at her age.

I really liked this book. It was well written, but the ending was a little rushed. Jillian was a young woman who had once babysat for Richard's daughter, Lauren. Richard was in the middle of a divorce and met Jillian at a bar, but did not remember her at that time. They slowly got to know each other (slowly because Richard thought he was too old for her). Richard's soon to be ex-wife tried to cause trouble, but it didn't last long. All in all, I enjoyed it and will look for more of Misha's books ...more

Misha Elliott is a nomadic soul, living all over the US with her Scottish husband. During their travels she fell in love with the written word and put her hands to the keyboard to romanticize her journeys. When not writing you can find her at Scottish Highland games (she's there for the men in kilts) or at the beach...as long as It's not hurricane season.
