My grandson suggested that I read this book. I thought it was a school assignment but it seems that his dad had just bought some beagles from the author and he was curious about this series. I just started book 5 “Blood on the Lance “ I hope my enjoyment of the Crow Killer series will encourage Garrett to read. He is almost 15 and would rather be outdoors but his curiosity is apparent. Thank you for writing these life like books about our American Indians. And hopefully these books will turn Gar ...more

An AD Western Novel About A Young White Man Raised by Indians

AD has penned a western novel about a young man who, when crossing a river, is knocked out and later rescued by the Arapaho Indians. He is trained in the way of life for Indians and exceeds the tribal needs in what is expected as a warrior. He fights the other tribes with reckless abandon. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

This book is in the top of my list as one of my favorites.

I have read hundreds of books of this type, western fiction based on fact. I recommend it to anyone who shares my interest in this subject matter.

Just a fun adventure, none to deep

A fun and exciting story of a whiteboard who joins the Arapaho to become a formidable warrior. Good writing for a frolic, could have used a bit more editing for typos.

Great read

Good to read of people who owned the land before the [civilized] butchers arrived. Honor and family seemed important to them. I look forward to reading more.

4 stars

A fair read. Good action and good description. Good examples of doing the right thing, something lacking in the world today.
