To Fail With Flying Colors

Rate this book
With his psychiatric institute abruptly closed and his career in shambles, Dr. Percival Shieling recounts the tales of his most fascinating and extreme cases. From an exiled king, to a paranoid romantic; from a teenage runaway, to a Catholic contemplative; from a mysterious prophet, to a self-made ultra-millionaire; Dr. Shieling has seen them all and treated them all. Now the secrets of his heterodox methods are exchanged like contraband among novice head-shrinkers on university campuses while the doctor's colleagues have abandoned him and the medical professionals scoff.

Author Paul John Adams is a father of two who aims to steer his children on the right path. He's lived well enough, but he's neither blind nor forgetful. He believes in the universality of human struggle and the occasional necessity of gallows humor. While he's alive, he knows it's the strength of family that sustains him. But if, through his words, he can help another soul to shrug off a bit of life's misery—and even have a laugh at it!—that too will be a treat.

Surprise! Christmas comes early this year, and so does this mind-blowing novel. Check out the trailer now to see why it's the perfect book for YOU, and spread the word. Cheers again, folks, and happy reading.

Those people who have read Dr.Oliver Sachs 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat' will know that fact can be stranger than fiction. Not in this case. We are introduced to six patients of Dr.Percival Shieling, Psychiatrist. They produce a series of disparate stories within a story; some, really amazing. I really enjoyed the book. Written in a nice loping style, not without humour, I found it easy to suspend disbelief and was sorry when it was all over and I reached the last page.

Boring

There were parts that were fairly interesting, but most was just plain boring. Why I got this book, even though it was free, completely baffles me.

This Gooning book was as stupid as Thick of It but sped up by IShowSpeed. Mr Adams raged at everyone because of his Skibidi Hypertension. I feel like doing a 360 Edgemaster competition and rizz up livvy Dunne with baby gronk. This book was not sigma, and I want a better one. I will defenestrate this book and sing KSI's new song.

I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I've been told

I'm in my prime, and this ain't even final form
They knocked me down, but still, my feet, they find the floor
I went from living rooms straight out to sold-out tours
Life's a fight, but trust, I'm ready for the war

Woah-oh-oh
This is how the story goes
Woah-oh-oh
I guess this is how the story goes

I'm in the thick of it, everybody knows
They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze
I don't know no nothin' 'bout no ice, I'm just cold
Forty somethin' milli' subs or so, I'vе been told

From the screen to the ring, to the pеn, to the king
Where's my crown? That's my bling, always drama when I ring
See, I believe that if I see it in my heart
Smash through the ceiling 'cause I'm reaching for the stars

Woah-oh-oh
This is how the story goes

My faith in God, mind in the sun, I'm 'bout to sow (Yeah)

I had a very difficult time reading this book. Some of it is a little interesting but I was mostly bored with it. I'm not sure if it was format or content.

I won this book from Goodreads in exchange for my honest review.

This book looks like KSI without a bandana on my great great uncles fueled up tank from WWI. This was boring just like his class Pablo J Abrahams looks like Kim-Jung-Oon
