Despite the fact that it was first published in 1934 this is still one of the definitive texts covering the various ways to manage the natural swarming tendency of the honeybee.
In the modern disease and pest conscious world of beekeeping some of the methods described in here are no longer recommended but as long as common sense and an understanding of modern integrated pest management are kept in mind there is a wealth of information here.
The text can be pretty dry at times and the procedures could probably use more illustrations for clarity but the sheer breadth of information cannot be found anywhere else.
Recommended as part of any experienced beekeepers library.
