I was doing fine. I own a successful tattoo shop. I have good friends.
Just fine.
And then she comes back into my life and pops up everywhere.
She betrayed me in the worst possible way and now I can't escape her.
What's worse, I'm not sure I want to.

Everyone makes mistakes when they are young...
Nearly fifteen years later and I'm still paying for mine.
I've managed to

5 Stars for Chris and Amy.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you keep up with the Monroes, then you know Chris. The sexy tattoo artist friend that dated Alex. He's not a Monroe by name but he's family none the less.

He's broody over a heartbreak fifteen years earlier. He hates that after so many years, he still loves Amy. He has a pretty sweet life. Tattoo shop, friends and sex anytime he wants. He's doing pretty good until one of the Monroe siblings lands in the hospital and Amy is the physical therapist.

It's fun to

ARC received from author with thanks. This is my honest review.

I have loved the Monroe family books from the very start so I was really excited to begin this new series about the Adamson family. We met Chris Adamson in previous Monroe books and his character intrigued me, so the thought of him and his siblings having their own series certainly captured my attention.

I already liked Chris's character, and having also briefly met Amy before, I thought it might take me a while

I am such a huge fan of Nicole Dykes and her writing just gets better and better with each new book.

This story is a spin off of the Monroe Series and while you don't need to read that series to read this one I do suggest that you do as it is just as amazing.

Chris the hot tattoo artist that can't catch a break as we have read from his appearances in the Monroe series he is always the odd man out and he finally gets his story and man what a story!!!

His past comes back to his not so happy eyes an

*Note: I am new just like Amy meeting the Monroes and don't know anybody's story*

"You're a completely different person."
"Yeah, well betrayal does that."

Ouch! I know harsh right? So how did the girl next door, boy likes girl-girl likes boy, childhood sweethearts and blissfully married Amy and Chris become broken hearted and filled with hate?

My body turns on me and my cock hardens in my jeans at this blonde siren's words. I hate that my body still wants her. If I hate her, my body should too. Tha

What a fabulous continuation of the Monroe extending family. Chris is the intense tattoo shop owner that tried to have a relationship with Alex only to lose to Schriller. What we learn is that he married the love of his life as a teenager and then divorced her over the ultimate betrayal. He has carried this hole in his heart for 15 years. When Amy ends up in Kansas to be Michael’s physical therapist, he suddenly is forced to face his past. Amy has worked for years to move past the loss of Chris ...more

Mistaken is the first book in the The Adamson Family Series by Nicole Dykes.

"The light that burns bright in the middle of the murky blackness around me."

I won this book on a Facebook group randomly. This was my first book by Nicole and I am hooked. I can't wait to read more from her. I came to read this book with absolutely no expectations and with an open mind. I fell in love.

"There is a piece of me that will forever live with her."

Chris Adamson is a sexy-as-sin tattoo artist. He is a success

Chris is the owner of a highly successful tattoo shop and he is the one everyone is always fixing up in fact I felt like he was a spoiler to be honest but there is more to Chris's story than we knew. When Amy gets a call from Shriller to come and help get Michael on his feet she puts her feelings aside and goes to do the job but Chris is mad. Apparently Chris and Amy have a past and it's not a good one if you are still mad after fifteen years but Amy is bound to be there for at least a few month ...more

Mistaken is the spinoff of the wildly popular The Monroe Family. I really liked Chris from the earlier books and was excited to see him get his own book. I absolutely was blown away by this book, Nicole Dykes just gets better and better as a writer. She is one of the best when it comes to angst filled love stories, the feels in this one is off the charts!!
Chris owns a tattoo shop and has a fairly good life. He married hi high school sweetheart and that imploded quickly. A betrayal like that is

A story of love, pain, regrets and a nice HEA.
This is a spin off series from the Monroe family series. The style is a little different as we get a lot of flashbacks. This is Chris's story and an introduction to his family. I will say I loved Chris in the Monroe series. After I learned his story I will admit I was a little disappointed in him. He missed 15 years due to his stubbornness. I was also a little mad at his family. I think they all should have tried a lot

I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I could not wait to delve into this story, so I could get to the reason why this relationship blew apart. I was surprised with how sad I felt for both of them. This was definitely one of the best second chance at love stories I have read. It was intense, with a roller coaster of emotions, with loads of drama and a whole lot of sexiness. I look forward to more.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I devoured this book. I know it's the start of a new series, but there is no way you can appreciate this book without knowing the Monroe's! And trust me when I say that you WANT to know each and every delicious one of them! And now, BAM! Another sexy family joins the clan! I just can't get enough! Well done on yet another fantastic addition! ...more

so I will for sure check out more of her work. I loved Chris and Amy's story - loved how the author told the story of the then and now as well as from Chris' view and Amy's view. HOT sex and LOTS of love in this one.

I’m in love with this book, and can’t wait to read more into the lives of Amy and the Adamsons. ❤️ The passion for this book was truly reflected in the way that Nicole’s words beautifully sketched into the love, drama, and hope between Amy and Chris.

A young love gone wrong.
Chris is madly in love with Amy. They marry when they are barely 18 but it doesn’t last long. The stubbornness that they both have leads to them living many years apart before they find out, that lies, deception and not listening to each other when they should have could’ve saved them all that time they missed out on.
Its a great story with twists and turns you never expect. Definitely gunna recommend to friends and family.

I finished reading Mistaken by Nicole Dykes, which I need to thank the author for giving me the chance to read and review her work.

I have to say the relationship between Chris and Amy is... entertaining. Between the angst, the passion and the funny banter, I was entertained the whole way through.
However, I found the beginning very difficult to get into and I had to force myself to keep on reading until three quarters in, when it started getting good.

Oh no! There’s been an accident! This time it’s Michael Monroe who landed in the hospital with a lot of broken bones. Shriller sends a call out to Amy. He wants her to be Michael’s physical therapist. Shriller wants the best for Michael and Amy is just that. She finally agrees to fly out to Kansas City to help out for 3 months.
As Amy is going over Michael’s charts with the doctor she sees two men walk into the room. One is a huge tattooed Jax and the other is Chris. If looks could “kill” that’s
Great new series. Spin-off of the fabulous Monroe family series. This series focuses on the Adamson family, and these boys are H O T! Great author. If you haven’t tried her books, you’re missing out.

I was late to the game on reading the Monroe series, of which I've only read one book and loved. So I was really excited to get my hands on the first book in this new series about the Adamson family. And it was everything I could have hoped!

Chris Adamson hasn't always had the best of luck, but he has a good life: he's a tattoo artists, owns a successful shop, has good friends and a steady stream of women ready and willing to please him. But when visiting a friend who's had an accident he unexpe

I absolutely loved this story!! It was a phenomenal read and a great spin off from the Monroe family series (that didn't really feel like a spin off). This story is definitely entwined with the Monroe family and it picks up where Undone stops. Amy comes to Kansas city to help out Michael Monroe after he has a horrible accident. He needs help mentally as well as physically and Amy believes that they go hand in hand for the most part. Chris has been adopted into the Monroe family and so while he m ...more

Loved this book from start to finish, Amy is a firecracker I loved how strong she is. She was asked to return to a place where her heart got ripped out. 15 years later she’s all grown up and stronger than ever, the best in her chosen profession living life as full as she can even though a part of her heart never repaired. She’s been asked to come help fix a young lad who has been seriously injured. It’s ok she thinks Kansas is a big place I won’t bump into him.

Chris is doing incredibly well for

I Love Love Love Chris and Amy's Story.
So we know both characters from the Monroe’s Family. Chris having dated Alex before she got with Shriller and Amy for being Shrillers physical therapist. My review is going to be vague so that I'm not giving any spoilers away.
Well Chris and Amy were in love. High school sweethearts, they then had to battle a long distance relationship but eventually got married. Although the marriage didn't last long due to an unforseen incident. They have both battled to

This is my first time reading a book by Nicole Dyken, and she now has another fan. Her writing in so magnetic and descriptive that it draws the reader into the storyline. I have not read the Monroe series and I kind of wish I would have since it is a spinoff of that series, even though you do not need to read it to love this book. The chemistry between the main characters was impossible to miss. What happens when the love you once thought you lost comes back into your life, would you finally fee ...more

I was gifted an ARC by the author for an honest review.

Aaah Chris, if only you hadn't been so stubborn and listened, then who knows what would have happened in those 15 years. There again if he had listened we would not have gotten to meet him and that would not be good!
I enjoyed this story, getting to know Chris more and understand the back story for him and Amy. We got all the Monroe clan too, to that is a massive bonus.

Well, Nicole has done it again. I have loved Chris character through out the Monroe Series and boy, i love him even more. This crazy author had me second guessing everything in this book...i cannot say what because i cannot spoil it. But it was something like...."Nooooooo! Second chance love

An amazing second chance read full of angst.

Chris and Amy’s story starts in high school as child hood best friends turn first loves.

Then something happens to tear them apart. Now fifteen years later they end up in each other’s lives again. Now it’s time to face the music and get the answers.

Only complaint I have is the book had a huge build up and then a pretty quick and painless ending. I did see there is a Christmas story so I am definitely gonna have to get it. I need mor

I'm a huge fan of the Monroe series but I've been waiting for this story so bad. Chris has been burned multiple times including by his ex wife, Amy. I knew there was more to the story then just the little bit we've been told. This story is full of drama, of course, the Monroes and a whole lot of hatred. Let's just say Chris and Amy's met doesn't go well. We get to see a side of Chris we haven't saw before. I must say I loved the flashbacks when Chris and Amy were young and so in love.
