An absolutely fascinating guide and tour around the practice of divining, lines of force and ancient monuments.
The author gives detailed descriptions of his own analysis of the lines of force and histories surrounding places as varied as Stonehenge, the west-country chalk carvings and Christian cathedrals, explaining through his own use of diving rods the location and siting rationale for many of the key features.
Very matter of fact in style, but a really interesting and absorbing read - and with absolutely no biography of the author on my version of the book, so I had to research him online.
A really super but off-beat book.

I'm keeping this as a reference book. This is a look at ancient mysteries across the world, and comes with diagrams, maps, and "blueprints" of structures. The history buff in me was impressed.

Along with Jonh Michell, Katharine Maltwood, and Alfred Watkins - Underwood's research and imagination made the black hole of available esoteric writing almost bearable in the 70's and 80's in Australia. Great material.
