This story was a bit scattered - didn't flow very well. Emily DeMarco x-cop is obsessed with Lacey (aka Olivia) x-escort and stocks her. Carter Forbes enters and puts a stop to Emily's stocking of Lacey. This story ties together the Surrender trilogy and The Gift.

Great story

Great story - wish it were longer. I started reading the Surrender series it's based on, and quit soon into the first, when I realized it was (apparently) about kidnapping someone to get them to fall in love with you. Made me feel icky, so I quit. But she is a good author and I enjoy this story.

Loved It!

I loved the connection to Carter and her group. Hooking up with Colette, who you love from The Surrender Series, was a great move for Emily. Read The Gift to get a better understanding of why Emily spirals down. This was a great way to see Emily in a new light. Great Job!

Brief Transitional story

This short story was an okay story & easy read. But that’s really about it. It is what it is.

Nice introduction

It's short, but still a lot transpires. Starting off on the wrong push until the right person comes along to offer the opportunity of lifetime. The opportunity that changes the direction of Emily's life.

Interesting

This was a really nice short story. It can be read along but it makes so much more sense if you have read the other books.
