No one will tell Eva and Frost the truth about the Blurred Ones. Not their hunter friend, and definitely not the parentals. Maybe it’s because Frost spent time in a psychiatric ward and Eva never ceases to think with her hormones. So, when the girls see an opport

Let me begin by saying how brilliant the title is. I knew I was in for a GREAT read as soon as I saw the title. Love it! And of course I was right! I fell in love with this book and the characters instantly. They are relatable and hilarious. Gray and Larsen (the authors) are great at creating imagery which makes the reader feel like they are right in the story. The story keeps you on your toes and wanting more! So hard to put it down once you’ve picked it up. I CANT WAIT until this book is made ...more

From the very first pages, this story is off and running, without a lot of build up.

I'm a guy and I loved this book. The sisters are realistic, relateable, and entertaining, and they guys were pretty awesome too. Parts made me laugh out loud, and other parts were really creepy. It's very different from Supernatural, but has enough similarities to enjoy. You can tell the writers are fans of the show.
Also, I appreciated that it was clean but still exciting. Looking forward to book #2!

Thank you to the authors for providing me with an e-book copy for an honest review.

As a huge Supernatural fan, I really wanted to like this, but, unfortunately, did not.

First, let's go over the parts of the book that I did enjoy. I thought the lore behind the spirits and Blurred Ones was fascinating, especially when it was explained how people are born and why these particularly evil and corrupted spirits attack humans. I enjoyed the nod to Su

Eva and Frost Abrams were sisters, partners in crime, magnets for the supernatural. They knew about ghosts, ghouls, paranormals, but weren't exactly expert with hunting nor were they fully informed about The Blurred Ones. Their parents were tight-lipped about this matter, but they got their support from their pseudo-aunt hunter friend, Maggie. A school trip to the Alamo in San Antonio got them really excited, hoping to catch a glimpse of the ghost of the infamous Albert Knox, but got more than w ...more

"Hush, Now Forget" by Mary Gray and Cammie Larsen

Forget Batman and Robin! This dynamic duo will blow your mind! Mary Gray and Cammie Larsen teamed up to write this chilling novel. The story is about two sisters living in Bloodcreek. Their curiosity about the Blurred Ones distracts them throughout their field trip to San Antonio with their Spanish class. Fortunately for Frost and Eva, two extremely attractive hunters are there to catch the worst Blurred One of them all: Albert Knox. Curiosity tur

*I was given a copy of this book to be honestly reviewed*

I got off to a rocky start with this book. The writing is good, and the plot is good, but holy stereotyping rednecks, Batman! That rubbed me the wrong way lol. It lightened up on that further in, though, I was able to get more into it.

I really loved the way this author told her story of ghosts and demons, and the mythology she created behind it all. The bond between the sisters felt genuine and just seemed natural to me, and it really hel

Let me just start by saying, I typically get hooked on a book by the cover (I know, you are not supposed to do that). But this book hooked me from the very start because it was so well constructed.
This book is a must read for all fans of the supernatural/paranormal world. Not only are the authors super talented, but they created a story that will suck you in as if you are right there beside the main character and that is so hard to do! Once you start reading this book you will not want to put i

“For a moment, I have crickets for thoughts. How can he play so cool with everything going on? Fine. I’m cool as a cucumber, too. Cool girl. This ain’t no thing.”

“Frost talks like her soul is ripping slowly—under the hands of a torturer with a carving knife, taking his time, letting each tiny space of flesh feel its very own pain.”

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hush, Now Forget is the perfect blend of mystery and spook. I loved the sisterly banter and conversational writing. With ghostly legends, mystery, heartbreak, mu

This was an interesting story. I really, really wanted to love the story but the over descriptions and just how long it took for anything to happen really took the joy out of it for me. At one point it took SIX pages to walk into another room. I adored the storyline, it is unique, interesting, and a fabulous take/twist on the supernatural genre, but just the sheer wordiness took a lot of steam out of the story. It is also VERY similar to the show Supernatural, almost seems a mishmash of several ...more

Shelves: mysteries, drama, suspense
Alternating from two viewpoints of two sisters, this book was better than I expected. It's very suspense and story driven. I liked the humor. It was slow in places but not to the point that it messed up the story. I could read another book in this series.

My copy came from Net Galley. My review is my own, left of my own free will.

I will definitely be getting the sequels. I like the different twist on ghost mythology in the story, the teenagers are authentic, and the humor is sly to add a little fun, the occasional smirk.

Fun and fast-paced! This book made me scared and excited, but it also made me laugh and fall in love with the characters. Can't wait for #2! Now to go read everything by these authors...

I loved this book and the storyline, but there were some things that kept me from giving five stars. First, there were some small typos, and the sentence structure could be awkward or repetitive. Also, I admittedly found the beginning to be somewhat slow. There just wasn't a lot of new information being presented quickly enough, I guess. But when things started to pick up and we start learning more and more, and as the action starts to speed up, I became very invested in the story and didn't wan ...more
