The book contains 90% images from Facebook and information that is available free on the internet. Do not buy this book if you have basic knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager.
I received this book yesterday and have already finished it, which says something about its claim of 365 pages. I have very mixed feelings about it. Facebook Ad's have long been notorious as difficult to navigate and frustrating to use and I was excited that someone has written a guide to it.
Overall it is an extremely comprehensive overview of how to navigate and set up your Ads. This is extremely helpful, however, these listed directions take up a LOT of space in the book. Combine that with the large type and the double spacing, and this really is a 150-page book. I get it though, they wanted it to have the heft and feel of a $35 book.
I found myself picking up a few good tidbits here and there but overall this really was an instruction guide and not a guide filled with insights and strategies. A lot of his suggested strategies were pretty simple marketing techniques. If you are completely new to Facebook ADs this is worth every penny as it is a solid overview, for people with more experience on it you won't find as much as I would have hoped to increase my knowledge base.
I recommend this book is you are new not only to Facebook advertising but to digital advertising in general. If you have any digital marketing experience you will find this book way too basic. That being said, the author did a decent job by creating an easy to digest guide of the fundamentals.
Facebook is one of the most efficient ways to advertise online. LEARN HOW TO CAPITALIZE ON IT! Are you struggling with Facebook ad campaigns? You’re not alone. I, too, have struggled to understand Facebook’s ever-changing ad system. That’s why I am so pleased to have discovered The Complete Guide to Facebook Advertising by Brian Meert. Starting with setting up your page and explanations of the terms you will encounter, this book covers all the steps needed to create and set up all types of successful Facebook promotions. I was so green to promoting myself and site on Facebook that I did not know the FB business manager existed prior to reading The Complete Guide to Facebook Advertising. Even as inexperienced as I was before reading this well written and structured book, by utilizing the advice in this book, I was able to gain more control over my future promotions by setting up my FB business account, creating my first pixel, and I have also started managing my page using the business manager. Thanks to the concise yet comprehensive guidance found in this book, I know that my campaigns will be set up and targeting correctly. By doing things right from the beginning I will be making the best use of my time and money.
I recommend this book for marketers with no Facebook add experience. The author explained concept using basic language. He walks you through the process using examples and images directly from Facebook
Good for Facebook intermediate users not for beginners
The book is good at explaining to every concept to meet facebook guideline and I hope the author will add more examples or case studies to make it clear
I got this through the kindle unlimited and didn't pay a penny for this book. So I am left satisfied. A useful read for people who need an introduction into social media advertising.
A very helpful resource guide, The Complete Guide to Facebook Advertising by Brian Meert takes you step by step through how to create and manage your business and your business ads on Facebook. The guide offers many graphics and screenshots that take you through the process starting at making a Facebook profile and page to making and tracking business ads. There is also a comprehensive glossary in the back of the book and plenty of other resources to help you navigate your way through this field. The biggest strength to this book is the screenshot graphics that go through each process step by step with the pictures so you know exactly what each screen looks like and can follow along effortlessly. Each process is explained in its own step by step process so you don’t have to search for the way to start something and then flip through pages to find how to do the last part of it. Although it added to the page length, which may at first seem a bit intimidating, it is really just from the graphics and listing each process by itself. For example, it might be that to make an ad with a single image and to make a video ad start out the same way but the author has gone through each process from start to finish so you don’t need to dig for the information. This makes me feel more comfortable with trying to do a certain type of advertising and more confident that I can accomplish it. I love the resources that are included in the manual as well, especially the links to help from Facebook because I have spent hours in the past trying to find information to contact Facebook and just running in circles. There are also plenty of other outside sources to help you stay up to date in the field if you try to manage your account alone as well as a resource for you to arrange for a consultation from the author’s business which does these types of ads. The only really confusing part of the book for me was in the beginning. Chapter two was almost Japanese to me as it started explaining terms with no reference for where or how I was going to use them. I felt like this just should have been included in the glossary in the back of the book and the author could have used more context to explain those terms. I’m still not entirely sure about pixels although the were explained in context later in the book and helped me to clarify why they were so important as well as how to make them and install them, but after chapter two and until the later material I just wasn’t sure what it was all about. In the end, however, it was explained quite well. This is definitely a resource book you’ll want to have around if you are a business owner that utilizes Facebook, and honestly that is most businesses these days. It doesn’t matter if you are a small business or large chain, this book goes into the basics and how to really manage and make the most of the advertising you are paying for as well as how the whole system really works so it is a must have. The directions are so easy to understand and the pictures of the screens so you can match up what you are looking at is extremely helpful. Anyone, even those with limited knowledge on how to use social media, Facebook, and how to advertise will find it much easier to manage and accomplish your goals with!
