Pencil sketching is the most important skill the beginner artist can learn. It is the basis for successful painting in watercolour and oils, as well as being a wonderful art form in its own right. An introduction to pencil sketching covers all the basic principles in pencil the materials to use, composition and perspective, drawing landscape elements such as trees, clouds and reflections and the many illustrations show how these principles are put into practice.
This book is worth at least 4.5 stars. It's underestimated. As a person who started to draw when I was 5 years old, I've been drawing for more than 20 years. There are some techniques in the book I still can't master with.
This book shares the pencil drawing techniques which is fundamental and crucial. I learnt a great deal of drawing trees from this book. I'm grateful that I read this book.
