Fear Is Not An Option

Rate this book
No one is without fear. The way we experience fear is the difference between leading a life of purpose and joy or a life of disappointment and stagnation. We do not need to learn to live with fear or find ways to cope with it, but instead to live fearlessly and to our highest aspirations. We have the ability to eliminate fear from our reality. Thought provoking and inspiring for women and men alike, Fear Is Not An Option is both a story of personal triumph and a hand book for transformation. For those that desire to find their highest self, to achieve their dreams and to live a life of joy and fulfillment, fear is not an option.

Mother, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, friend, author, podcaster, cardio enthusiast and change junkie, Monica integrates all that she is into her mission of sharing with others, what she’s discovered. Monica is a fresh voice that channels the powerful internal spark of Light living within us all. Authentic and fearless, she reminds us of our extraordinary potential and pushes us onward with compassion and understanding.

While informed by her many years of kabbalistic study, Monica also draws heavily on her own personal life experiences. She battled and overcame a debilitating eating disorder at a young age, and as a mother of four children, one of whom has special needs, she has become an outspoken advocate for him and others struggling to find their voice.

With her trademark blend of humor, insight, and honesty, she shows individuals how to create a life that feels like it is working, like it makes sense, and most importantly, a life in which they are living and loving as the powerful, fulfilled person they’ve always wanted to be. Her personal endeavors have taught her how the practical wisdom of Kabbalah can bring Light and strength into even the most challenging experiences by changing the one thing we can control, ourselves.

Monica Berg, a self-professed Change Junkie, shares her combination of wisdom and real-life awareness with talks found compelling to a wide range of men and women at different stages in their lives. She leads people to not only see how they can change (change is the only constant in life) but inspires them to get excited about a lifestyle of change.

Monica Berg is the author of Fear Is Not an Option, Rethink Love, The Gift of Being Different, co-hosts the Spiritually Hungry podcast, and serves as Co-Director & Chief Communications Officer for Kabbalah Centre International. She lives in New York with her husband Michael and their children David, Joshua, Miriam, and Abigail.

Great book about one woman's journey through fear and how she is learning to eliminate it. IT was told in story form so it was a really great read. She provides some tools to get through fear and I definitely think it is a book I will pick up from time to time for the reminder and the affirmation that fear is not an option.

Disappointing. The author goes through her ordeals in life but forgets every human being goes through their own ordeals. A Good bit of spirituality and religion is involved in her process of dealing ordeals in life. So the book needs a “leap of faith” to finish without rolling your eyes and shaking your head.

I really liked how transparent she was throughout her memoir. One thing that really stuck was how she mentioned over and over again that she kept trying to control life and once she decided to work with rather than work again she truly felt complete and was able to get what she wanted.

I threw this book in the garbage where it belongs. I purchased this book in East Aurora, NY. I was excited to read it due to having debilitating phobias. The book was extremely triggering and all it did was just unlock yet another debilitating phobia. The authour is an idiot who should've not been giving extremely detailed information which caused incredible triggers. This is not how you try to help people. I'm 40 and literally at my parents' because I didn't want to sleep alone. So, yes, thanks to Monica Berg now I have a new phobia of will the anxiety disorder cause me to lose consciousness which is nearly always caused by hyperventilation. Now, thanks to Monica I feel afraid to be alone after I spent years working hard to overcome this and thousands of dollars. I wish this book was never purchased. It also caused other major triggers for me as well. 0/5. Berg must never write another book ever again

I read her other book first RethinK love otherwise the review wouldn’t be a 5. Good author. I bought the audio from audible but she speaks too fast. I had to lower the speed. She gives tools that you can use. Good perspective!

I liked the book up until she started explaining a lot of her battles with fear through her role as a mom -naming each chapter after each one of her children and what lessons she has learned thanks to each on of them, and although it can be sort of relatable... I’m not a mom -don’t know if I want to and this book did not help the case-, so to me, it would have been better to see her theories at work in other roles such as work, personal projects, dealing with a boss or a relationship. Granted, this was a recommendation from a mom-friend... so if you’re a mom, specially dealing with a special child you’ll find this book helpful. If you’re dealing with other things in life, you’ll find the explanation of the different fears interesting and that’s it.

I was so touched by Monica's authenticity and keen insight. The way she shared her own fear journey helped me understand more intimately myself and my own fears. Her ultimate surrender and certainty took my breath away and have given me strength to let go and trust.
