Timothy and Opal Lassiter are twins while they have watched their siblings fall in love and marry, Timothy, wonders when it will happen for him and Opal wants for it to happen later in life for her. Opal has a plan to be successful with her twin brother, so family and business is first. So this is what it feels like to have your heart captured in that very moment and her name is Denise Lasalle.
Opal Lassiter has a man who for the past 3 years has been in love with her, Grant Hutchinson he is everything that Opal needs and then some but her persistence of it is just a booty call is wearing very thin for him. But Opal makes a mistake that she realizes very quickly may have cost her the man of her dreams due to her fear of being hurt. Opal realizes with some swift dressing down from her sisters that Grant is not going to play games and just keep hanging around just for her to come up with the same lame excuses.
Timothy is not shy about wanting Denise in his life at all, and when Denise finds herself in danger, she finds out very quickly just how the Lassiter men take care of their own. Opal takes the leap of faith to be with Grant Hutchinson as he runs for Mayor but an ugly report comes out indicating it was about her, and Grant learns just how quickly the Lassiter women take care of their own.
And Lawd who can forget Phire aka Sapphire, I swear this young lady has me cracking up all the time whenever she is in any scenes and I think Lady Phire has met her match.
It was so great to see Papa Joe doing so much better and recovery nicely after what happened to him in the book "Hypnotic - The Book of Adam (Gems & Gents Series 6)" and also seeing Sally with him was just priceless.
I won't give any spoilers away, just know this is a fantastic book in a fantastic series. If you are looking for a great dynamic story and romantic, author Iris Bolling is your woman.
I loved everything about this book including the preview in the back. Iris you did you thing with this story. The suspense, romance and passion were just right. It was good to get inside the lives of Timothy and Opals lives to see another side of them; and there love interest we’re a perfect fit. I love when a story gives me a beautiful wedding not to neglect the fact that drama/suspense in your stories take them to the next levels. All tens all tens
I absolutely LOVE the Lassister Clan! Timothy recognized his true love in Denise the moment he met her. However, Opal was reluctant to open her heart and mind up to loving Grant Hutchinson. I'm so glad that they got everything straightened out in the end!!!
I'm so glad we got another Gems and Gents story. I like that this one was about one set of twins! I also enjoy the mention of my other favorite characters from the Heart series! Loved the book! Can't wait to hear about the youngest of the Gems: Phire!
Hmmmm! There is a song in my heart and tears in my eyes. Ms Bolling bring the heat with this novel. OMG all of that male finesse in one novel and each male played an important role protect and take care of their women. It was awesome reading about Timothy and Denise which was instant attraction that you could just feel the love no pretense and one section of the novel with these two you gonna need a shower yourself🔥 don't underestimate the man that sits behind a desk. Opal and Grant another together couple with chemistry that was off the chain. Opal Gave Grant some resistance but he was not having it! This novel had drama ,suspense, laughter, romance , New and old characters and the love of family and friends. I can picture connection novels just coming from this novel. it was good catching up with the Lassiter siblings and hearing good news about them and Joe and Sally their parents. This novel was a page turner and everyone that reads this will not be disappointed. I can see connection novels just within this novel and waiting patiently for Sapphire and J T novel also the rest of their sibling. Thank you Iris Bolling 💝💝💝💝
The Book of Timothy was definitely not a disappointment . Although Timothy,an accountant, seemed to be the mild mannered gent in the Lassiter clan he ,like his older brothers would go to the wall for those he loved. Many underestimated The fact that he could be a lethal as Joshua and Adam when necessary. Then there was his Twin sister Opal who was fighting the Love she felt for Grant a man who was willing to sacrifice any and everything to have her in his life. She had me concerned because she felt she could move on her feelings because her twin brother did have love in his life, and she didn’t want to be the cause of Grant missing out on an opportunity of a life time.
Little did either of the twins know that the day Denise Lasalle walked into the Rehab center Daddy Lassiter was located would be the beginning of huge changes and n both lives.
This book like the others in this series is full of Lassiter family antics ☺️, suspense ,danger, and lots of passion. An enjoyable read❤️. Going to take a quick eye rest break 😂😂 and then on to Phire’s story I’m sure it’s going to be fire😂😂😂
You can't go wrong with a Gems & Gents story, so Timothy and Opal Lassiter's stories were no different. These Lassiter twins found their way to love and their soulmates. While it was instant for Timothy, it took Opal a little while longer. Timothy and Denise were wonderful for each other. You felt that instant spark from their first meeting. Grant had to work a little harder to get Opal there, but he did. As usual the book is filled with a lot of intrigue, action, love and feistiness from those Lassiter Sisters. I enjoyed seeing other characters from other series and its always great how Ms. Bolling easily interweaves them in a story from another series but does not sacrifice the integrity of the stories or each series. Being an Iris Bolling book you know there are twist and turns and surprises. The ones in this story were excellent. Hang on to your hats and enjoy your read!!!
**While I did enjoy the story, I wish Opal and Grant would have had their own story, even if it was a novella like Pearl, Ruby and Mathew,
Added bonus was watching Baby Lassiter Sapphire "Phire" trying to come into her own. Can't wait to read her story next. She and Lawrence Trent Palmer "LT" should have quite a story!!
Timothy Lassiter was the quiet one in the family. While visiting his father who in rehab after being shot her met a woman who intrigued. Denise LaSalle. She was visiting her father who been shot. It was timely her meeting Timothy. Her house was blown and she found she was all that stood between a crooked group gaining access to land. She also found out her father was really her uncle. He had saved her from being killed with the best of members of the tribe she was from.
Opal Lassister was fighting her feelings for Grant Hutchinson. Grant was running for mayor. He gave it when he found a person who was also trying to improve the city.
The Lassiter family is a force to behold when they have your back.
I read this book in one sitting. Those Lassiter sisters had me rolling. The same goes for Adam, Joshua, and Samuel. I love it when they just turn up when necessary.
I know this book was mostly about Timothy and Denise, Opal and Grant, with an introduction to LT and Phire but adding the already coupled Lassiters made for a truly fun, humorous, and entertaining read.
I have to say I did miss the tech gadgets. There were not as many involved. The action, suspense, and intrigue was good. The romance and heat were on point. I love the fact that the intimacy has no age barriers. The 20+ as well as the 50+ are included.
Iris Bolling has done it again! I really enjoyed Timothy and Denice! It was Love 💘 at first sight! They made an excellent couple and just clicked right away! Timothy has a twin older sister named Opal who was seeing a guy named Grant that she refused to admit she was in Love with until she felt she was going to lose him! There was just so much going on in book book, but it was so organized and everything flowed just right! Everyone that reads this book will not be disappointed!
I love this series,Gems and Gents. I liked how this story is about the twins. The plot was great and you made Timothy a hero without being apart of the government. I liked the feisty sisters and how they stick together. You did an awesome job incorporating the entire family and added Ty and KiKi . Please write soon about Monique, the Prince, and Joshua and his first child with the Queen. Keep up the great work. Phire story is going to be hot. Can't wait to see how the family respond to her love affair with LT
I enjoyed his story so much! Timothy and Opal mirrored each other in everything so finding their mates at the same time was inevitable. I really loved the relationships they found and the stories just keep getting better. There was so much suspense and drama! I look forward to Phire and Lawrence' story and will start it in the near future. I am so happy for Sally and Joe and their children! Iris did a great job! Several grammatical errors but overall a great read!
This book could not be pre ordered. This book was said to be available at midnight. After waiting patiently it finally dropped well after midnight. But all that aside this was just as good as Diamond, Joshua, and Pearl's stories. Now Phire's story better live up to the hype!! Don't make no sense how the author got me up past midnight reading when I need to be sleeping! This was a well written continuation of a family I just love. Well Done!!!!
Every time I read one of Ms. Nothing's book, I get a little sad when it's over. Her books are like coming to a family reunion you've been waiting for all year. BRAVO!!! Great story of Timothy & Cars and Opal & Grant. Your words created pictures running through my head and that is he an author should write. Great to see the visits with family and friends. The love story was hotttt! Can't wait for the others. Again, BRAVO Ms. Bolling!!
This story had the usual amount of drama and suspense. I liked the getting to know you part with Timothy's story and Denise. Opal and Grant's story was nice, aggravating and sexy good. Phire's story started in the mist of Timothy's story, and Adam's marriage in the end. Joshua, Samuel and Adams presence always makes my day brighten. A few more typos were noticed, but did not detract from the story. Overall a good read.
Ms Iris can do no wrong with this family series. You always get an exciting and wild ride sprinkled with romance with each story. It was great hearing from all the Gem and Gents. I can not wait for Phire’s story! I will drop everything when her story drops. I want to go back and read the entire series after Symmetry and I will be doing so before Phire’s story is released.
It took me a while to read this. I have read just about all of Iris Bolling's books including the Gem's and Gent's series and she continues to not disappoint. It was nice to finally delve into the lives of the other Lassitier children and how they all have very different personalities and lead different lives. Its also nice to continue to read about black love and the highs and lows. Keep up the good writing!
This book is as awesome as the others. This Gems and Gents is so addictive. Timothy and Denise, Opal and Grant were the main characters in this book. I love the action, intrigue in the story...and the sexiness and devotion of these characters. The storyline was divided, two stories in one book. The entire family was showcased. Loved it. Phire is next!!💗
The Lassiters are so diverse yet the same when it comes to protecting those they love. Denise was encouraged to fellowship with the family, by Sally, and adopted when Timothy fell head over heels for her, at first sound of her distinctive rhythm, when walking in the rehabilitation center's hallway. The way he greated Denise, at their 1st dinner date, cleaeed up any misconception that Timothy was an ordinary boring "bean pusher". Talk about Hot 🔥
I really loved Timothy & Opal's journey to love with Denise & Grant. The story was not long enough for me because once the Lassiters get together, you know you'll have laughter, love, and danger. The story and the plot lines as usual keep me coming back for more. Phire & LT up next... I can't wait!
Opal has strong loyalty ties to her twin brother, family and career. The journey of her balancing all of that with her hearts desire is intriguing and amazing! The suspense and mayhem that seem to follow the Lassiter family is always tantalizing and nail biting! Kudos, Iris Bolling! #cillasbookmaniacs
Excellent read, I loved the storyline and characters. Timothy and Denise, Grant a d Opal are great couple s. I was thrilled to see the Lassiiters back, Gems and Gents 7 was everything I hoped for, I was pleased to catch up with beloved characters from Iris Boiling's previous books. I. Can't wait for next installment. I recommend this book.
I've always enjoyed the writings of Iris Bolling, I knew this would be a great read. The family dynamics was magnificent,. The humor mixed with danger keep me turning the pages. It was great to see patriarch of the Lassiter family taking charge again. Can't wait to read Phire story.
This book was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Timothy and Denise. I love stories that show what love is in its purist value. There is a sprinkle of suspense with passion and some beautiful ballads for listening suggested in the epilogue. A delightful and relaxing read! Iris Bolling is a true talent!
This book was Sooo good. Timothy and Denise the chemistry between them was so hot. Grant and Opal was just as hot. I love the Lassiter family. Can't wait to read your next book.
I loved this books. The characters come alive and u feel a part of the family and you root for the good guys. I can't wait for the next gem book. I'm highly anticipating the next one.
I've been a fan of Iris Bolling for several years now. I'm literally translated to the scenes when I read her books. I love how she blends the characters together yet give them separate stories. This is another winner in my opinion.
an unexpected surprise. I tried to read this book chapter one a day, but couldn't. excellent book, cannot wait. You can connect the character to each book in the series. THANK YOU, impatiently waiting for the next book.
Iris Bolling never disappoints! Timothy, Opal, Denise and Grant had enough love, drama, humor and suspense for 2 more full books!! Loved every moment! Can't wait for the next installment!!!
