Not a bad start

The story needs some polishing. There are gaping holes. For example it is not possible to knit a net large enough to capture a. 8 ft creature in one day. Practicality is sometimes missing, when climbing up a ladder through a trap door, one does not step out, you would crawl out. Welding also requires electricity. Stories were fun and interesting and always enjoy strong female characters. I think character age should have been a little younger than indicated

This is a fun set of steampunk mysteries set in Melbourne. The stories are somewhat like a cross between Gail Carriger's espionage stories (teenage girls and steampunk) and the Phryne Fisher novels (similar backstory for the heroine and set in Australia).

Wowsers! I loved, loved, loved this book. It's one of those few and rare pieces of work that you keep reflecting on. Witty, light-hearted but also saturated with plot and development, I hands down have been recommending this to everyone. Love!
