An amazing sequel

Picking right up where Dancing at Midnight left off, the Other Side of Midnight doesn't disappoint. Once again I read cover to cover without stopping,

Great wrap up!

Loved the wrap up of all the questions left over from the first book and the development of the relationship between Sharon (aka Mary Alice) and her sister Carolyn. Left me with warm feelings for the future of these two.

The first thing I can say right off the bat with Rebecca's books, is that there an easy read. Meaning, that while she is setting everything up, you the reader are not confused along the way. You're not wondering how what you're reading fits into the story. You know exactly what's happening and why, while the story is being built. It's the type of books that if you have a few hours in your day to sit and read, you can finish in one sitting. It's nice to have to books to read such as these in your ...more

You finish reading Rebecca's first book, "Dancing at Midnight" with such a sense of emotional self-discovery and promise that you can't help thinking to yourself as you approach this book, "Hmm, what does it have in store for me?"
Your crack open the book to the first pages and immediately are captured by her character development and the way she weaves the intricate fabric of the lives of these characters. Again, you find yourself feeling many emotions and rooting for the main characters as the

I bought my own copy of The Other Side of Midnight after reading Dancing at Midnight.

I really liked reading this novel. I love Carolyn as a character and I like Sharon, even though she seems a bit whiney at times. I loved the ending and was so excited for the sisters. The writing was incredible, as usual for Rebecca. She was also able to create characters that were relatable and I enjoyed reading about.

As much as I enjoyed reading this novel, there were some things that w

A beautiful emotional story

Please read Rebecca Yelland's Dancing At Midnight first. Then set forth on this journey, a beautifully written emotion laden tale of two sisters separated by circumstances beyond their control. R.Yelland triumphs in capturing the intense feelings of her characters - really is defining them through their emotions along this journey of reunion and defining family. R.Yelland gives her readers a clear idea of the ripple effect giving a child up for adoption can have. P

Another phenomenal work by Mrs. Rebecca Yelland! She does an amazing job of reuniting to wayward sisters and showing through them the bonds that can be formed with even the most estranged of family members. I was excited to gain this further insight in to the world of June Parker. To follow her in her bravest moments as she gives her sister the details of their past is amazing. I felt as if I was a part of the story. It was simply a book I could not put down. In fact, just like her first one, I ...more

Book 1 was amazing and this sequel delivered in abundance. Rebecca writes with such precision and emotion. I found myself re-reading pages as the delivery was so good. I wish there could be a third but alas - and no spoilers - there won't be.

The next time somebody says Indie Publishers take the easy route: laugh at them. These two books set the literary standard.

Beautifully written. A cast of characters you'll love. Personally, I would suggest buying the printed books. Gr

A well-written story centered around Sharon who finds out that she was actually adopted, not the birth child of two parents who she adored. As a mother and wife herself, she went through all the stages of grief. Upon meeting the sister she never knew she struggled again with anger and depression until she made the turn into acceptance.
A heart warming story that kept my interest throughout. I asked myself, "How would I react? What would I do?" if this situation came up for me.

Excellent sequel to Dancing at Midnight! The author does a great job of filling in the pieces that readers might be curious about from the first book. I strongly suggest reading or re-reading Dancing at Midnight first to get a fuller experience with this story. You don't want to miss out on the bittersweet origins that make this sequel all the more special.

I enjoyed this book and found it completed the story told in the first in the series. It doesn't have quite the same drama or conflict. In the first book my heart was in my mouth over what terrible thing would happen next. That doesn't happen in this one. Instead it's more of a detective story as the sisters find out about their ancestry. Well worth a read.

After reading Dancing At Midnight I knew I had to read this book. It was a fantastic sequel. Answered all of my questions left from the first book and wrapped everything up nicely. Rebecca Yelland is one of my favourite authors.

After reading the first novel, "Dancing at Midnight," I was anxious to continue learning about Carolyn and Sharon's journey to learn more about their families. I was compelled by the love the two ladies shared with each other and their families. I loved the ending.

It’s very simple. I love to write. Whether through poetry, song lyrics or randomly expressing my thoughts on paper, it has been my creative outlet for as long as I can remember. However, in the past year, I have broadened my horizons to include the publication of my first two novels. The process has been a little overwhelming and intimidating at times. But the finished product was well worth the e ...more
