After losing her husband 10 years ago, Marly's been raising her two kids and working at a construction company to support them. When she loses her job she's forced to think outside the box and auditions for a new DIY show in Savannah. At the audition, she meets the producer, Jack, and he immediately rubs her the wrong way. Jack is trying to get back on his feet with the new TV show, and things don't run smoothly. The irritation between Jack and Marly turns to attraction, but their pasts aren't g ...more

This is my second story with author Sandra Kyle. First of all she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Also Sandra is a refreshing voice in the romance world. These stories of the DIY series - A BUILDING PASSION and PASSION PROJECT (and yes fans, there will be a third in the series) tell contemporary stories and have a fresh point of view. Web series and home improvement television shows, single motherhood/widowhood, starting out fresh in a new city, making up for past mistakes in a profession ...more

This is an adult romance. I'm not saying that it's graphic, but a few situations are for the more mature listener/ reader. Jack and Marly meet at an audition for a DIY show. After that things go on a merry chase. There are plenty of twists and turns that keep the listener wondering what will happen next. This book ended leaving plenty of room for another book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Kelley Hazen is amazing

A mature romance, Passion Project takes both Jack and Marly by surprise. Jack has had his fair of disappointments in the industry, so when sassy Marly and her smart-mouthed 11-year old turn up for an audition, Jack's interest is piqued. He gives Marly a hard time at the audition, but she gives as good as she gets. Despite resisting the attraction between them, Jack and Marly quickly find themselves being sucked into the vortex of passion. Not everything moves smoothly on the show and when Jack m ...more

I received a free copy of Passion Project by Sandra Kylie and this review was given freely.
This is a well written sequel to A Building Passion which focuses on the drama surrounding the DIY TV show and Dan's new partner and next door neighbor single mom Marly. The second half contains a few steamy scenes between Jack and Marly and some scandal involving some of the people connected to Löwe Maintenance, but the majority of the novel is focused on the multiple life changes occurring for Marl

A fun read. Marly and Jack are both trying to work their way back up. Jack wants to reach the top and is working hard to get there in the cutthroat business. More is going on in the background than anyone knows. I think I know who the puppeteer is and I hope this person will get what they deserve and not a slap on the hand. I look forward to reading more. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of that book.

Passion Project is an enjoyable and easy read. The chemistry and sassy banter between Marly and Jack keeps the story interesting and fun. The story line is well written and keeps you turning pages. The end does leave it open for the next book however it doesn't leave you hanging on this story and can be read as a stand alone. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.

First this is a fairly good book. For me though it kind of dragged, I will tell you that is only my opinion others probably enjoyed it more then me. It is well written, both Jack and Marly are very likable and Jasmine really makes the book even better.
I voluntarily read this for a fair and honest review.

Good storyline that flows easily throughout the whole book and the characters are well defined which kept my interest from the very beginning!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is my review of the audio version as posted on Audible:

Book 2 in the series is a bit better than book 1 in some aspects, so it's a good read but still it has some faults...

The plot is more complex, with more action, more things happening throughout the book, and definitely more humour in it. I like the TV show subplot, with the blackmail twist and the way Jack handles everything, but the romance part is still lacking some development and depth. Marly and Jack meet, start working together, d

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very entertaining even though I don't usually listen to contemporary romance. The second book is just a much fun as the first. The new characters added to the story, are looking for a second chance in life. They find it in Daniel's new DIY show. It's not all smooth sailing though. It's a nice combination of romance, suspense and humour. I found myself chuckling as I drove down the road. It's well worth a list ...more

Passion Project by Sandra Kyle was a great read. This is book two in A DIY Romance. Marly is raising her children as a single mother. She recently loses her job and decides to audition for a DIY show. At her audition she meets Jack and doesn't expect just how much her life is going to change. I loved this book and can't wait to read more by Sandra Kyle.
