Sadistic dominant male falling in love with a vanilla female is never recommended. Why? Because one or both are going to be sexually unsatisfied.
Zeke Hayes is a sexual sadist who loves impact play. When he gets into his Top zone, he is also known as "Psycho Zsycho". When he falls for Rayna, a woman he helped rescue from sexual slavery, he's all out of sorts. He believes she can't handle his brand of spicy heat.
The suspense in this story is a good energetic pace. The story continues from the previous book. There is another little twist with the reappearance of a secondary character. The secondary character, Luna, is absolutely bonkers. This is a person who is probably leaning towards sociopathic because she doesn't really understand the difference between right and wrong. Or it just seems she doesn't care. She is focused on only the goal, and her goal is to keep Zeke all for herself. She's an extreme masochist who wants Zeke to be her dominant.
The BDSM in this story does make me go a bit more WTF. Ms. Payne keeps hinting at D/s subtext when these female "bottoms" or "submissives" immediately change their mannerisms and start answering with "Yes, Sir". She also tells the reader these BDSM interactions are intense and high on the sadistic side. For some, it may be. From my personal experience, what I've read here is considered standard and a bit mild.
Now, remember dear readers, this is all based on a person's experience. I'm not sure what is going on with the crowd I'm in, but I'm the mild one because I only do knifeplay, fireplay, electricity and breathplay for my edge plays. I do not enjoy blood play, but I will submit to it if the dominant really gets off on it. The majority of the group I'm in is heavy into bloodplay, micro-branding and needleplay. When I say heavy, I mean it looks like Dexter's splatter room after they are done with a scene. There are special protocols to sanitize the equipment, walls, ceiling and floor after a scene. To me, this is a bit more sadistic and a hard limit. First, I don't like the taste of blood. Second, I don't like the sight of blood. Third, I don't want any chance of catching some blood pathogen.
Now, can a whip cause the same kind of blood splatter? Not usually as much as the above, but it can cause a breakage in the skin and blood to flow. In this story, there is a scene between Luna and Zeke where another top called out the safeword. It is of interest because nothing I read as it is presented would cause for alarm. Sure there would be bruising. It's not uncommon for some bruising to take three weeks to fade away, especially from a whip, cane or paddle. Overall, the BDSM scenes in here are a little bit more than mild but not dark and intense. It's an excellent next step for those who are now past the Gateway to BDSM stories.
Switching to the character development, this story is better than the first. There is more richness to Zeke's background which helps makes him more understandable. He is a desirable dominant and it shows through his command and his aftercare. Rayna is a good balance for him and the chemistry between the two is good. This romantic suspense is recommended to kinky readers who love a happily ever after.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but I loved this book, and cannot wait to read the next.
Note to author: While I agree Lexi Blake pens some great Doms, she cannot compare to Cherise Sinclair or Shayla Black.

I am so hot and bothered in the most beautiful ways by this book. It was so descriptive and amazing. The way Zeke and Rayna vibe is magical. Their chemistry is undeniable. The denial that runs through his blood is so relatable. And the ending! Who would’ve thought the wolf in sheeps clothing is who would save the day. The roller coaster ride this book put me on is something i will never ever forget! This is a book i could read over and over again and never get tired of. Thank you Angel for another amazing book.

Zeke and Rayna will be taking the leap from friends to D/s in this sensually gripping tale. Rayna knew the moment she laid her eyes on her savior in that godforsaken lair that Zeke Hayes was something out of her wildest fantasies. However, with all the damage both physical and mental they each suffered in regards to her ordeal with King, she has been ‘friendzoned’ by her dark knight. She holds no false illusions, aware of his proclivities and propensities for all things BDSM, she wants to try and fulfill his needs if only for a time. Zeke’s thirst for domination is strong and can run hard. He fuels this into his work and scenes when he needs to, but otherwise Psycho Zsycho must be contained. Ever since looking into Rayna’s eyes he has been transfixed but he knows he has nothing to offer but heartache and regret. Helpless to deny his Ray-bird what they both truly want he indulges in her sweet submission. After tasting his Bird’s sweet fire he is utterly and desperately hooked, but the fact remains that she deserves the light when all he knows is darkness.

Wow, what a story. From the moment Zeke rescued, Rayna from the human sex trafficking monster that had kidnapped her, over a year earlier, they were destined to be together. Zeke was a Special Forces agent in the US Army, and lived his life accordingly. Rayna, was a medic, quiet and rather reserved, due to the events that had recently happened. Until, Zeke, and his dominant ways woke feelings within, that she didn't know she possessed. Zeke tried to dissuade, Raynas advances, but eventually, love conquers all. A must read in the second book of the Honor Bound Series, by Angel Payne.

I am never disappointed with what Angel Payne brings to the table. She always rocks it out hardcore in everything she creates, and HANDCUFFED BY HER HERO is no exception. This story is not your typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, and live happily ever after story. Zeke and Rayna...they have been through some tough shit in their lives, and they are just trying to keep it together. Book #2 in the W.I.L.D Boys series is a gritty, suspenseful, incredibly sexy story that will keep you on your toes and leave you breathless. I extremely enjoyed diving back in to this world full of gorgeous military Doms, and the subs that heal their hearts.

After being captured not once, but twice by the evil slave traders, Rayna is still here. He knows he doesn't deserve her, he knows he can't give her the white picket fence, and yet once he has a taste, will he be able to walk away from her?

Damn Angel! You certainly can get me all hot and bothered with the sex scenes you write. Just when I thought Garrett from SAVED BY HIS SUBMISSIVE was my favorite Dom, Zeke steps in and kicks his ass out of the top spot. Not only was this a scorching BDSM read, but it was extremely suspenseful and thrilling. I caught myself a couple times holding my breath, and trying to read faster and faster. HANDCUFFED BY HER HERO was a very emotional read for me as well. It was a thing of beauty to read about how much these two have grown throughout the story. Many times when you are waiting for the next book in a series, you cross your fingers that the next book is as good as the first. Well in Handcuffed by Her Hero, Angel Payne has exceeded my expectations. In fact, she totally blew me away!
To paraphrase a quote from a famous movie, Ms. Payne had me at “A woman screamed.” The heart wrenching journey began with these words as Rayna Chestain and Zeke Hayes worked to heal each other and learn to trust again. I had read the first W.I.L.D. Boys book so I knew all about the hell Rayna had gone through after being kidnapped and physically and sexually abused by sex slave traffickers. Rayna was healing physically but still had a long way to go to heal emotionally. Zeke was just the man to help her.
Zeke was part of the Special Forces Agent team to rescue Rayna and he was the one to carry her away from her prison. The two formed a special bond almost immediately. That bond continued to grow in Handcuffed by Her Hero.
I think I have found a new book boyfriend in Zeke Hayes. First, he’s Special Forces. Sigh. He’s a Dom. Double sigh! He’s fiercely loyal, super protective, and built like a Mack truck. Pick me up off the floor!! Zeke helps Rayna in her journey to heal and together they discover her submissive side. But Zeke also finds healing for himself in Rayna’s arms. He has his own nightmares to deal with, namely his difficult childhood and the horrors he witnesses as a soldier.
In Saved by His Submissive, the first book in the W.I.L.D. Boy series, Rayna is kidnapped by the evil King twice. During the second kidnapping, she is able to shoot and kill him, but this puts her on the radar of King’s twin brother Mua. Mua’s obsession with possessing Rayna creates a new threat in Handcuffed by Her Hero that the hero and heroine must overcome. As the two fight this new villain, they also fight their own demons that work to keep Zeke and Rayna apart.
Ms. Payne has such a vivid way of writing that you, as the reader, are pulled heart first into the story. Knowing that Rayne still suffered horrible nightmares from her kidnapping made me cry along with Zeke. I was emotionally vested in both characters from page one. You do not need to have read the first book in the series to feel the emotional pull but reading it will provide you with a deeper connection to both the hero and heroine.
The tension remained high throughout keeping me on the edge of my seat and dying to know how we would reach our happily ever after. Ms. Payne knew just how to mess with my mind as we find out that the villain had help from an unexpected source and the twisted logic that the source used to justify their actions. I couldn’t put Handcuffed by Her Hero down as I was torn between wanting to find out what happened next and the desire for the book to never end.
Ms. Payne knows how to develop characters into three dimensional beings. Her ability to put together a cohesive storyline that is intriguing just adds to the beauty of her writing. And can she ever write a smoking hot BDSM scene. For all these reasons, I wish that I had more than five stars to give to Handcuffed by Her Hero. You don’t want to miss this book!

Zeke is so flawed. He’s convinced he can’t be the man Rayna needs. When their friendship takes a turn from the platonic, he makes it clear to Rayna he’s not the kind of guy to make a life with. But who’s he really trying to convince?
Rayne will take what she can get initially but soon realizes she’s too in love with Z to just be friends or friends with benefits. She also finds her submissive side really enjoys the right man taking charge. While they’re trying to figure out their relationship, the brother of the devil who kidnapped Rayna and Sage West is still scheming to get her back to sell her as a sex slave.
Hot, sexy, kinky, romantic and thrilling – this book is everything you expect from Payne!

This was an amazing read! I've been waiting for Handcuffed by her Hero since I finished the first book Saved by his Submissive. Angel Payne is a fantastic writer, with a smooth narrative and dialogue that rings true. Zeke is all alpha male while showing his compassionate side, both mixing together here flawlessly. I mean seriously? Special Forces AND Dom? That's a recipe for Hotness any day and Angel did a perfect job of reeling me in and keeping me on the edge of my seat! HOT HOT HOT scenes that blend perfectly into the ongoing plot!!! A MUST READ!

Where do I start with Zeke Hayes and Rayna Chestain? I fell for them both in Saved By His Submissive and it only got deeper with their own story. For the hell she went through, Rayna was one strong as female. Zeke is that kind of man you grab hold to and never let go. Thank you Ms. Payne for another awesome W.I.L.D. Boy and the woman that tamed him. :)

Much better than the first book, the romance and sexual tension was a lot more enjoyable this time around! Although there are still times that the author's way of describing a scene has me a little bit confused, where i'm having to back up a few pages to start it all over again. Enjoyed it enough that I'll def. be checking out the next book.

Cheers for Rayna Chestain! I loved reading about her internal battle with herself almost as much as I enjoyed reading Sergeant Zeke Hayes battle with his own psyche. Rayna no easy pushover certainly showed her hero a thing or two! Can't wait to read the next installment.

Dominance and control are words that best describe Sergeant Zeke Hayes, a G.I. Joe in every sense of the word. He belongs to a Special Forces squadron which makes him a walking warzone if you get in his way.
His one weakness comes in the form of a woman named Rayna Chestain. He saved her from a slave trafficker in the armpit of South Asia. To Rayna, Zeke is her hero, but she does not realize at first the heavy weight he bears that has followed him from being abandoned since he was a teenager. He has had to fight and survive on his own since an early age and does not give himself the luxury of having any feelings. Rayna and Zeke are just so hot together that it makes you hot and bothered just reading their story. Zeke is the ultimate dominant and is in high demand. Zeke knows that he is a total dominant and knows that he can't be anything different.

Wow... this book has it all. Heat, suspense, action, passion and all things in between.
Angel Payne has never been one to shy away from the darker side of romances and this was no exception. I found myself captivated by this plot! I first fell in love with Zeke and Rayna in Saved (book 1 of the honor bound series) and I’m so thrilled Angel created a deeper story line for them.
This tale is full of hot and steamy bdsm kink scenes, suspense, a darker side to romance. A man known for his bravery and a woman struggling with a traumatic past. Zeke and Rayna are forced to be reckoned with. As the story progresses, the love between them thickens. It was obvious from the beginning that these two would be explosive as hell and it would be one hell of a story. It had my emotions all over the place. My heart broke in a million pieces with what Rayna went through, but to see her grow from it, and Zeke helping that happen and opening her up to a world that she’d only fantasised about was so addictive, so captivating and I couldn’t put the book down! And, wow... this story was so damn hot! Be prepared for a hot as hell, emotional and bumpy ride!

This is Zeke and Raynas' story. We meet them in the first story and I, myself, being a BIG fan of D/s relationships, couldn't wait to read their story.

Explosive and fast paced!
Only the second in the series but I'm totally hooked and about to buy the next instalment! The characters are very well written with Zeke coming across as strong, broody and not a little pig headed!! Rayne was determined, lively, a sharp witted spitfire with deep demons resultant of her time spent kidnapped. Both parties struggled and the angst was very well written. The bdsm scenes were so well written that they consumed you to the point where I could smell the leather, feel the heat and sense the raw anticipation. I almost felt like a voyeur! A beautiful read; very well written with incredible characters, sensual scenes full of teasing and raw passion, explosive action and some cracking one liners to provide a little levity and snark. A great book. Thank you.

Zeke is straight fire, dominance, and passion. This book was everything I was hoping it to be. I expected Zeke to be powerful and dominant, and he sure did not disappoint. Rayna and Zeke were truly fated to be together. He was always her hero and continued to be until the very last page.
Rayna has really battled her demons with everything that happened when she was held captive and it seemed that the hits just kept coming her way. Her light at the end of the tunnel came in the form of her dominant Zeke, so of course when push came to shove she chose to protect the man she loves and vice versa. It was beautiful to watch her discover that she was a submissive and follow their journey. Another amazing book by Angel Payne.

This is my favorite of the series. Zeke is beautiful and strong but afraid to let his heart open to anyone. His dark side is one he won’t risk losing someone he loves to. He would risk his life but never take anything in return. Zeke is a diamond in the rough he just needs the love of his soulmate to make his world a brighter place. Rayne is the perfect match for Zeke. She is strong and fierce but not willing to give up the one she wants most love. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. There is romance and complete submission one moment and fighting for your life the next. I am blown away by the incredible talent Angel has for bringing a story to life. I got lost in the writing and didn’t want to put this book down. This is one book everyone needs to read.

When I first read Zeke and Rayna in Saved, the first Honor Bound series book I knew that I needed to know their story. And in Cuffed, Angel doesn't leave us hanging, she leaves you captivated by these two people. With the trauma Ray-bird, the nickname Zeke gives her Rayna needs something only Zeke can give her. Zeke is not know for his commitment to anyone but his special force guys. After being rescued by Zeke, Garret, and his squad in Saved a connect neither one of them realized connects them will come to light and change everything for this Dom. And maybe this bird will turn to Fire as a Phoenix with him. This book has the heat, action, love, tearjerking moments, surprising news, and a few bromance moments in the mix. Can't wait to read Seduced and the rest of this series. 😘

Gah!!!! This book was absolutely perfect! I fell for Zeke in Saved and couldn't wait to get all the nitty-gritty details of his wild side. Then there's Rayna, the spirited, brave woman that Zeke helped save from being sold into slavery. Both characters tug on your soul with their hidden pasts, present desires, and undiscovered futures. Cuffed is not for the weak reader, it will have your emotions flying in all directions, then drop you from a cliff while it laughs from above. Angel Payne has nailed it on all levels in the Honor Bound Series. I just can't say enough about how much fun the series is to read. Love them all! One of the best of 2017 for me!

Had the privilege of reading and ARC copy. Zeke was abandoned at a young age and has never trusted anyone but himself. He protected lots of people and respected his brothers in his unit, but would never give his heart to anyone.
Rayna had been abducted with Sage in Thailand and rescued by Zeke's unit and couldn't get her mind off Zeke. Was it because he saved her, or because she had feelings for him. She couldn't make out the difference in her mind.
Love is the most powerful healer, if you open your heart and listen to it. Rayna needed Zeke to protect her and Zeke needed Rayna to ground him. Tragedy brought them together and kept them close, now love will keep them together forever!!!
