Cora Brent, you're amazing!

I simply adored this book! I love how Cora Brent makes it about so much more than love and sex. Her characters are always complex, hard working, with careers they're focused on and the love&sex part seems like a huge bonus to all that.
I remember loving Dominic & Melanie from the first book in the series and now i love Audrey & Jason just as much.

Don't miss out. Read this book asap.:)

I received a copy from Thomas Allen & Sons in exchange for an honest review.

Nailed was the first book I've read by Cora Brent and it was like a breath of fresh air in a city I've never visited before. The writing was unique in way because it was written very well, first of all. But then the dialogues felt like I was reading something a spunkier indie author would write for their characters. Does this make any sense? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I feel like w

Nailed is a fun and entertaining enemies to lovers, workplace romance. The characters intrigued me and kept me on my toes. I loved the tension and chemistry between Jason and Audrey. Their banter kept me glued to the pages and begging for more. I loved the slow burn between them and couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

Nailed was an enjoyable and well written read. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to checking out more from her in the future.

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary review. I just love Cora's work my first books from her were the gentry brothers. Now I just finished nailed and loved it. I absolutely couldn't get enough of Jason Roma the man was walking Adonis and he brains to go with along with those looks. You could also tell Jason always has had strong feelings for Audrey it was written all over his face. Also I need to read Domantic and Melanie story now too!

There isn't much to say about this book because I was expecting so much more from Cora! Audrey was just lacking for me I didn't like or but I didn't hate her either I wanted more depth to her character because she was just too average for me. Jason OMG he is just an asshole and in no way could I ever love him I thought maybe I might grow to love him but nope I never could he was just too much for me! Honestly wish I could give a better rating because Cora has written some fantastic books, but th ...more

I am a HUGE fan of Cora Brent and I adore her Gentry Boys series, so was very excited to be able to read this book. When you admire an author so much, you tend to have quite high expectations for each book they release and Brent never disappoints. Her stories are always so well written with characters you can easily connect with, and you just find yourself immersed in the story, forgetting the world around you.

Nailed is a very enjoyable enemies to lovers novel.

Audrey is a strong and focused career woman, and Jason is her arch rival and part time tormentor. I found both characters well written and well developed. Jason did seem like a bit of a jackass in the beginning but I never found him intolerable. I liked that both characters developed over the course of the book in believable ways. They went from being almost solely career focused to being more balanced. I also felt by the end of the book that t

Another amazing and solid read by Cora Brent. A great enemies too lovers story. Loved the banter between Jason and Audrey, as well as their off the charts chemistry. This story has depth and a great storyline and you won’t want to put it down.

Audrey is a project manager for a construction company and often the only female on a work site. Therefore she is often having to fight her way in a male dominated area. So when she is offered an opportunity to manage a big project the only thing is that she has to share it with her co-worker Jason who is also her nemesis.

As Audrey and Jason come to work together, they clash and they argue but something else grows between them as well. Both Audrey and Jason have pasts that they must reconcile wi
This was a big old nothing burger. I was hoping for some fun workplace shenanigans ala The Hating Game and instead got plenty of details about construction project management from a heroine who felt more like a chimera of 'strong, independent woman' pieces, instead of a person.

Audrey was.... not likable and I was ready to root for her. She was a woman trying to succeed in a male-dominated field. She stood her ground and was good at her job, but every difficulty she ran into was SO heavy-handed i

Nailed , I loved a great enemies to lovers story and Cora Nailed it !
Audrey is a strong, intelligent making her way in the world of construction as a project manager. She has to prove herself everyday to keep up in this world. Men are either hitting on her or looking down on her for her brain and great ideas .
Jason is a playboy he always was looking for a good time until he is now working again with Audrey . They had a past , friends with benefits but Audrey thought it best to move on and work

I loved Fired book 1 in this series but i really think this one outdid it!!

Audrey is a driven career girl. She's usually the only woman on construction sites while she project manages. She has to prove herself time and time again. A huge opportunity comes to the firm she works for and she thinks she has it in the bag until someone, a certain sexy someone, a certain someone Audrey has a past with gets in the way.

Jason is a player. He never has girlfriends ever. He's now older and when a chance to

Nailed (Worked up Book 2)
By: Cora Brent

What could happen if you let someone in?

First and probably foremost Cora Brent is an incredible writer. She has the ability to make whatever she writes believable from beginning to end and it’s full of angst, passion and love. Already a huge fan of hers it was easy to get sucked into the Worked Up series and love Nailed as much as her previously written tales. I added the authors blurb because reality is she explained it better than I ever could.

Audrey and Jason have a love/hate relationship. They had a brief co-worker fling that ended in not the best way. Audrey had a ton of issues, not the least of which was her OCD tendencies when it came to work. Audrey wasn't always put together like she is now. She was an unruly teen who drank too much, slept around too much and paid the price by embarrassing her family to the point that they still hold it against her 10 years later. Audrey didn't quite understand that, even though she was now a r ...more

Finally popped my Cora Brent cherry!! So glad I did and wondering what took me so long?! I loved Jason and Audrey and really enjoyed the banter and sexual tension between the pair. I loved seeing Audrey thaw to Jason. I mean, he's a charming, tall, dark and sexy, slice of cheese pizza! What's not to love? Plus he's got just the right amount of a filthy mouth and cockiness to boot.

Audrey hasn't exactly had a shiny past, so she strives to put her past behind her and prove to her parent's and hers

I won this book from Goodreads. This book is told from Audrey's pov, which I think it would have been nice to also have Jason's pov. I liked the way Jason came across in the book, but it took me awhile for me to warm up to Audrey. They both are project managers for different construction sites for a large construction firm in Phoenix. Audrey considers to Jason to not only be her competition, but she also treats him like an enemy. She also believes that Jason doesn't like her because she ended a ...more

Audrey has become a huge workaholic, as she feels like she's trying to keep up with her very successful family. It doesn't help that she's been living with the guilt of her actions of the past, and she just wants to prove to them that she's different now. But when she's partnered up with Jason, who she formerly trained at her firm, not to mention had a friends with benefits thing going, she's none too happy. He loves to push her buttons, so as they try to successfully pull off the biggest projec ...more

I want to start this review by thanking Cora. Thanking her for the amazing stories and characters she brings and will continue to bring to life.

The character development and story lines were just beautiful. I’m a sucker for an enemy to lovers, second chance love story any day! I especially felt so close to this book & these characters stories because I could relate so well with each of them.

Audrey, she’s been to the dark side of what life can bring. When you’re getting to know her you think

4.5 Stars!

Nailed is the second standalone book from Cora Brent's Worked Up series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. Office romances are one of my favorite tropes and Ms. Brent executes this one quite well.

Project managers Audrey Gordon and Jason Roma used to be more than friends, and then they weren't. Over the years, they avoided each other like the plague, while successfully climbing to the top of the corporate ladder. Because of their proven results, they have been teamed up to ove

I loved Jason from the first book in the series- FIRED and his story didn't disappoint.

Jason and Audrey are thrown together to be co-project managers on a huge courthouse build. They share a sizzling and secretive past which rears it's hot head when the two start spending entire days together.

Audrey is from an affluent family that has a public persona that doesn't quite match the neglectful, hateful family. Audrey is strong and independent and when you see how her parents are with her you will

An adorable enemies to lovers story, Nailed hits just right! With a perfect balance of sweet, heat, humor, and real emotion Cora Brent delivers a book that you can’t put down with this one! Something I love about Cora’s writing is the level of depth she has with all her characters. Jason and Audrey aren’t two dimensional cookie cutter people, they’re real, they’ve got flaws, but most of all they got so much love.

Audrey truly surprised me by how complex she was. At first she seemed to just be a

You know that a book is enjoyable when a reader gets a free copy and, upon finishing it, goes online to pay money to buy the first book in the series and others by the author. That was my reaction to Cora Brent’s “Nailed.” It’s part of a series about romance on the job. The heroine is a smart, tough, hard-working project manager in a construction company. She ends having to work with a hot, charming, and hard-working project manager with whom she had had a sizzling love affair several years ago. ...more

After the first book (Fired) I immediately clicked for this one.

Audrey and Jason are colleagues and had a short, hot affair six years ago when Jason just started out at the firm. Now they are both project managers and Audrey regards Jason as her competitor for the most coveted project, the building of the new court house. She is not happy when she finds they have to work as equal partners.

I actually did not really like Audrey at first. She is hardworking and seems like a cold career woman. She
