Presents Ayub Khan’s view of Pakistan’s socioeconomic and political landscape. It appears he did a lot for the country in all areas but the overall situation of the poor didn’t improve. Some good initiatives towards food security, governance, power generation, water preservation, political stability and foreign affairs. But under his own autocratic rule. The illiterate masses and political leadership wasn’t mature enough to run the country. While Ayub Khan apparently restored order amidst chaos, but also paved the road for future military takeovers. Hindering the development of a political system for self rule and much needed development. The result is strong military taking most resources to benefit their own and leaving the civilians in a desperate struggle to barely survive.

Enjoyed reading first few page's specially because of his early life. I do support his few bold step's and am indeed inspired from his step's taken for state. But to be the long lasting president of state Pakistan he tried worst step's for his cruel idea's.
He reveal's the truth that how we got independence and what was the main motto of Quaid E Azam and how were betrayed by Indian's.
The way he dealt with Chinese by marking border line is amazing and how he dealt with Soviet Union, Arab countries is another bold step and we are enjoying it's fruits till today. M.A.K initiated these bilateral relation's.
His few step's derailed the democracy as he took 80,000 member only eligible to vote and when he asked them to vote before applying the new constitution of 1962 on March 1 he got majority of 96.4% huh really a dictator got this?
Foreign Policy chapter is amazing chapter and one get know the reality as everything is very clearly and strongly mentioned specially the neighbor countries..
