Ok, done? Great, now we can talk about the story. I loved the description of this book. There's something about secrets that just draws me in. Maybe because my favorite thing ever are those moments when they trust each other with the part of themselves they have kept hidden for so long. It's sweet and magical, it makes my heart happy. If you enjoy those moments as much as I do, this book won't disappoint ...more
This is a hard review to write because usually I really like a book or really dislike a book. For me this story was ok.
I did feel like I'd had enough at one point because of something that Sara witnessed and then had a sensual experience of her own. I just felt this was completely unbelievable.
Overall I think that this is a romance that other people would adore but for me it plodded on. I tend to prefer a faster paced read.

I’m going to start with the characters. I loved Tom! Loved his flaws and all. He’s a sexy man who has his own demons but is a good guy for the most part. Jen is great too. We all need a best friend like her. The horrid ones were well written too. The ones you love to hate! Next up, Sara. It took me a bit to come around. I understood her pain and her distrust. What I didn’t understand was some of her actions. I was like “girl ...more
I cannot believe I have actually rated a romance book 4 stars in 2019!
I definitely wouldn't say this was one of my favourite reads, but nowadays it is hard to find a good romance that doesn't involve ex-partner drama or something incredibly unbelievable. I know this was published in 2017 but I hadn't read it til' now and I would say that's pretty new-ish anyway.
There were times throughout the book that irritated me. For example, the extended paragraphs of talking about go ...more
This wasn't about an undeniable physical attraction; it wasn't about lust or need. It was about the bond growing between us. The possibility of a love so strong it could hold us together and potentially even tear us apart. by Sara
Cover: It is great. New York is a major part of the story and is has been well showcased here. Also to the couple is sexy but in shadows, which is how it feels for us.
Plot: Great setting, right pace, kept ...more
As my rating already suggests, I really loved Wicked Dance, which is the story of former dancer Sara Hart and real estate mogul Tom Wright. When it comes to NA romance novels it's always either hit or miss for me but this one was definitely a hit. Olivia has a way of writing that's very intriguing and addicting and I couldn't put the book down. I totally ...more
Tom and Sara meet in an almost meet-cute way, busy coffee house, spilled coffee, and charming smiles. That's how the best romances start right? That's the easy part because they are most certainly complex. They each have demons they are dealing with, meaning they have ...more
I particularly enjoyed the dance elements of the story: I’ve never before read a book where the emphasis was more on the day-to-day running of an artistic dance company, rather than all about the dancers. I thought the story gave an accurate insight into the ...more
Sara is a former dance student unhappy with her job and unhappy with her life, when she meets Tom at their local coffee shop. He captures her interest from their very first meeting, but she's left with the feeling that she wasn't even a blip on his radar. Until one day he comes to her rescue and a relationship is formed.
I like that both these characters have layers, have inner demons they're trying to fight. ...more
But where the Sara from the movies falls in love with a guy from 'the hood', Sara Hart falls in love head over heels with the mysterious guy at the coffee shop. This turns out to be Tom, a very wealthy hot guy, who doesn't do relationships.
But when those two meet, the worlds just shifts on its axis. ...more
I don’t usually read romance novels, usually a sci-fi fan with a sprinkle of chic-lit but Olivia Boothe’s book was recommended so I gave it a shot. Let me just say I’ve haven’t been this involved with two characters in quite some time. Mr Wright is what Mr Grey should have been and Sara is all of us. This book had love, lust, conflict, and a great story that kept you wanting more. Actually when it ended I went back a couple pages and read it again because I was sad it was over. ...more
It's been over a month since I read this book, I really do need to get my act together when it comes to writing reviews. As much as I loved it and my rating won't change, I'm having a hard time remembering everything that happened in it. But that's mostly due to the fact I'm a fast reader and should pay more attention to everything.

Sara and Tom were both such beautifully broken characters. They've both struggled with painful losses and guilt, and are just surviving the best they know how.
