This was my first book by Ms. Stone and it won’t be my last.

I loved the premise of the story, I enjoyed how Alejandro and Tammy began their relationship. Following how their love developed was good (it felt a bit rushed, but knowing this is a prequel explains the speed); I was then heartbroken and shattered.

I’m looking forward to reading the series.

When I started the book, I went in with a lot of expectations. I knew it's a prequel of sorts so it was very short and just took a few hours to finish the book in one sitting. But I was getting distracted while reading. The main reason was that it was a pretty straight forward love story.

The story went like this - Tammy and Alejandro both know each other and fall in love with each other suddenly. I felt it was rather sudden and other than that, I was okay with the tale since it was fun getting

So I wasn't expecting THAT. My heart is in an emotional-limbo. Overall, the writing was fantastic. I felt for Alejandro the most. And I definitely want to read the others in the series because I am not satisfied, just yet.

"Yes, you.  I love you so much Alejandro.  I feel like I'm living in a dream.  Never would I have ever imagined I could be as happy as I am today."  She leaned over and kissed him. "What we have right here and right now is more than I could have ever imagined."

Life’s Forever Changed is a prequel for Alejandro Alverez. We get a closer look at the loss of his best friend that motivated and pushed him to pursue a career as a nephrologist. Finding success as a surgeon, Alejandro is finally to the point where he is looking for a bit more to life—love and companionship. When Tammy Johansen, a pediatric intensive care nurse, catches his eye, their relationship moves quickly. Unfortunately, this life is about to be foreve

This was my first book by Anne Stone. While it was good, there were a few things that bothered me. The story is meant to be fast-paced but it lacks details. The whole story seems rushed and not very detailed for the things that were happening. It jumped from one thing to another throughout their relationship. From the way the story was written, I am assuming the author wrote it after writing book one of the show me series. The other thing that bothered me was the constant change of point of view ...more

If you have read any of the other 3 books in this series you will be familiar with these characters, I have personly read the third book “Life's Turned Upside Down”. This is the Prequel to this series and fills in the backstory to Alejandro Alvarez life before the first 3 previously published books. But if you have not read any of this series this would be a great place to start. I had some plots and history revealed to me from reading book 3 and look forward to reading the remaining books. I started Life's Forever Changed by Anne Stone and did not know how the story would end. I was shocked and in tears by the ending of the book. I have not read any of the books for The Show Me Series so I was not prepared of Alejandro's fate. But I am glad that I got to start the Prequel and get the background of what Alejandro went through before starting the series. I am hoping he gets that second chance in life and can find love again.

This is the prequel to Anne Stone’s Show Me series. If you have read Life’s Second Chances then you might have an idea how this book will go. Even knowing what was coming didn’t detract from the greatness of this book. Alejandro is a doctor in Wisconsin & Tammy is a nurse working in his department. The speed of their relationship & love is almost love at first sight - probably more like love at first date - and a testament to Alejandro knowing how fast life can change. And unfortunately ...more

Whether this is the first book you read by this talented author, or you are a long time fan like myself, this story will touch you and make you fall in love with the author’s writing.
The prequel gives us a better insight of doctor Alejandro Alvarez, whom we met in the first book of the series.
We get a chance to meet Tammy Johansen, who works in the same hospital as he does. A friendship develops into a romance and marriage, but will this time is the HEA unreachable?

We had followed Alejandro's journey, from his happy times, to his grieving, but overall we get to see the love, loyalty, the respect and passion Alejandro and Tammy had for one another.

Each page you read, will take you to inside the story and will have you experience every single emotion. Anne Stone delivers another amazing book. The way she's able to not only feel each and every single emotion, but also transport you into the story, like she can only do.

This book is amazing, I could not put it down until the very last word!!!! After losing his best friend at 15 to kidney disease , Alejandro Alvarez decides that he is going to be a transplant surgeon, to save others. Years of hard work have brought him happiness in his job but he has no one special to share his life with him. But then he see's Tammy Johanson, a nurse at the same hospital and is immediately attracted to her and she to him. I cried how sweet and loving they both were, how being to ...more

Congratulations to Anne Stone on another exceptional read! I loved Anne Stone's prequel to The Show Me Series and felt that it really gave the back story to her debut novel "Life's Second Chances". I enjoyed Alejandro and Tammy's story as we follow the life of those that are in the medical field: their joys, sorrows and triumphs along with the rigorous schedule they keep. They both are compassionate with their patients and are dedicated to them while in their care. I felt so many emotions while ...more

Having read the rest of the books in this series, I found this prequel enlightening. The events that brought Alejandro Alvarez to the place where most of the activity in the rest of the series took place are both beautiful and heart-breaking. Alejandro’s relationship with Tammy sets the tone for later books and whilst I was sad that this book came to a melancholic end, it nevertheless resulted in Alejandro making the choices he did. A well written novelette that made me smile, but also brought t ...more

This book was my first book by Ms Stone and I have to admit I have really enjoyed it.
Life’s Forever Changed is a heartbreaking story of love, loss and coming back to life.
The main character, Alejandro, after loosing his best friend is cutting himself of the world. Only his work is still important to him. His patients are still binning him some meaning. Until he meets Nurse Tammy and a loving patient that means a lot to both of them.
It’s a well written story with gut wrenching feels.

What a story. We finally get to learn what motivates Alejandro, his choice of careers and how he fell in love with Tammy. The journey was bumpy and full of emotional twists and turns. The story made me laugh, cry, but most of all, it made me feel. I love that about a book. Ms. Stone is masterful at that. The entire series is equally as wonderful as this one. While it can be read as a standalone, I would encourage you to read each story of the books. The characters are will find a place with in ...more

I received this book as an advance read in exchange for an honest opinion. I have read many of Anne Stone's books before, and this was my least favorite. While the characters were likable, they weren't developed as much as I would have liked. I also thought the story was lacking.
Alejandro had a perfect life, in fact everything was perfect until the very end of the story. The conflict in the story didn't happen until the last few pages. In Stone's defense, Alejandro's story continues in the next
